Harry had practically ordered Remus to stay at the manor, and got George and Angie to move in. Oliver was not there often, as it was still season, and he played in Canada. George and Remus were Harry's obvious choice of guardians for Bree, and they were targets. Remus was reminded of how he had felt when Harry went out when he was in danger. Harry needed Remus, but more than that, Teddy needed him. Harry had lost both his parents, and he would spare Teddy that pain, he had already lost his mother. Remus was the only parent Harry had left as well, and he wanted him, and Bree needed a Grandpa too. Oddly, though George would have been obvious third guardian, Harry had named the Delacaurs. Albus would not think to go that far, and while they would be her legal guardians, it would be understood George would raise her, or Bill. But Harry was reminded none of them were going to let Harry be killed. He would be there to raise Bree. Like Teddy, Bree lost a parent, she'd not lose him.
Harry knew they could not stop with ousting the man from school. Even before he had threatened Harry, Harry knew that he would not go away. The man had been fighting for power for decades before Harry was born. The man was not going to go quietly.
He headed for Malfoy manor. "Hope he has something."
Draco's voice came from behind. "Doubting us already?"
Harry turned. "You haven't let me down yet."
Draco smiled. "And I don't plan to."
Harry tried to smile. "Have you found something on him?"
"We need to find someone with some inside information."
Harry smirked. "He kills any who are not deathly loyal."
"Yes, Minerva is on guard now."
Lucius entered. "But we think we have a source."
Harry turned to the elder. "Who would be willing?"
The man surprised him. "Aberforth."
Harry stopped. "As in his brother?"
Lucius nodded. "The one and only."
Draco reminded him. "They haven't spoken much in decades."
Harry shook his head. "He helped Albus in the war."
Draco agreed. "Why he knows things."
Lucius finished. "He did it for the war, not his brother."
There had been many people who worked with the man for the war alone. They had seen that he was useful and was perhaps needed for it. Moody had been one of them though Albus had thought him to be loyal to a fault. The man had been loyal to the order, and not to Albus. The man had information about Albus during the war, but earlier as well. His actions directly related to the war, he had been pardoned for, like many spies had been. But crimes he committed before, or that did not affect the war like Harry, were entirely different.
Harry had no idea if the man would be willing to turn against his own brother. He knew they had a falling out, but he had his doubts about this. The Malfoys swore that the man had agreed to speak with them, and that he had taken an oath already.
Harry was surprised when they headed to school. "Should we not go into town?"
Lucius shook his head. "He is at school for now."
Draco explained. "If Albus suspects that he helped us…."
"His brother will be in danger." Harry finished for him.
Lucius pointed. "The school is easier to keep him safe."
Harry was happy when he saw Hagrid. "Hagrid."
The man pulled him into a hug. "I almost thought it a dream, you are alive Harry."
Harry returned the hug. "I am sorry I let you believe me dead."
Hagrid just smiled. "Just glad you are back."
Harry told him. "I will have to bring my daughter to see you when safe."
Hagrid was amazed. "Daughter? I remember you as a little baby, and now you are a daddy?"
Harry nodded. "Fred and I had a little girl."
Aberforth appeared. "Harry."
Harry turned to the man. "I am told you may be willing to help."
He nodded. "Any help I can give."
The headmaster had never been tried for his actions when he was a teen, and had no pardon for them either. Very few realized how much Albus was to blame for both Grindewald and Voldemort. He had been partnered with Grindewald, and took him down when he lost control of him. And he had helped to train Voldemort before he broke free. He had planned to use Voldemort to gain his power, but Harry became the hero instead. Aberforth provided them with a pensieve full of memories of the events that happened decades before. Luckily there was no statute of limitations in their world for actions such as these. Aberforth took a truth serum first, one provided by the ministry and not Severus, to confirm validity.
The man turned to Harry when done. "I'm sorry."
"Sorry?"
"For what my brother did to you."
Harry assured him. "It wasn't your fault."
"Perhaps if I stood up to him decades ago…."
Harry stopped him. "You did now."
Lucius turned to Harry as they got back. "This with your Aunt's…"
Harry stopped him. "What do you mean my Aunt's?"
Lucius smiled. "We needed evidence in what he did to you."
Draco nodded. "The embezzlement was only part."
Harry shook his head. "I won't endanger my Aunt."
Lucius assured him. "I put them in a safe house."
"You already moved them?"
"I got their memories yesterday." Lucius admitted.
Draco explained. "We knew you'd protest using them."
Harry agreed. "I will not have my Aunt and her family killed."
Lucius assured him. "Arabella and they are in a safe house."
Harry was reminded that what Albus had done to him was not needed for the war. They could prove Albus had stolen from him. The bank had proof and had forced him to pay back. There was suspicion he had stolen from the school, and that was being looked into as they spoke. But the abuse that he had ordered the Dursleys to do, was another step. Petunia and her husband had been promised no charges would be pressed. They agreed to testify even before they had been promised, but Harry would never want them to be arrested Draco thought. And he was right to do so.
Harry sighed. "I am happy if it can help, but I hate putting more family in danger."
Harry swore he would go and see his Aunt and Uncle when this was done. He had said he would before anyways. He wanted Petunia to see Bree, and know she had saved Harry's life. He was even more determined to make peace with them now. He knew what they risked by helping him in this. He had not even thought about Arabella, and was glad the old woman was in a safe house, she had always been good to him as well. Though Albus was the main focus, there were others he wanted to see to. The Burrow had simply been the start of all of this.
Harry turned his focus to his two former friends. It made his skin crawl how much they had benefited from his name since the war. The fact they named their daughter for him, made him cringe. He was just happy that it was a Harriet and not a Harry, but still.
Hermione was called to the ministry. "I wonder what this is about."
Ron shrugged. "Maybe they want to give you an award."
Hermione smiled. "My last test results should be in."
Ron kissed her. "You are surely top of your class."
Hermione laughed. "As if there was a doubt."
Ron agreed. "No one competed at school."
"Draco was happy when I was gone final year, no competition."
Ron smirked. "Like that snake could ever compare."
An assistant appeared. "Lord Bones is ready for you."
Hermione went with the woman. "I never have been called in."
Lord Bones stood. "Thank you for coming Mrs. Weasley."
Hermione took the seat motioned to. "I assumed it was about final marks."
Robert shook his head. "It is about your future in the program."
Hermione wondered if she was to be fast tracked. "Oh."
He handed her forms. "You will need to find a way to pay this back."
Hermione stopped. "Pay? What….."
He motioned to the papers. "It seems the scholarship has been recalled."
Hermione had not paid for law school. She had been given the Harry Potter memorial scholarship which had paid for the past year. The scholarship had of course been funded for the exact purpose. Albus had failed when he lobbied for all those in the order, to get a reward. He had found ways around it, including the scholarship. It had not only paid for school, but had paid for her and Ron to live off for the past year, and for the payments on the house. Her parents had given her the old college fund they had, to pay for the down payment and more on their home. Ron made money, but they lived well and beyond what he made. It seems that the scholarship had been discontinued. Since Harry was alive, a memorial scholarship to him was not proper. The money needed to be returned to the source the money had come from. It seems that the Malfoy attorneys had done their job. They found the money came from two sources, Harry, and from the school. It was start of proof that Albus had been embezzling from the school. He could argue that it was academic and not personal use, but it was a start.
Hermione stared in total shock as she found she had to repay it. She would not be allowed to go to law school in the fall, until she had paid back every knutt of it. And she would have to come up with another way to pay for the fall. She was shaking in anger when she left.
Ron was waiting. "An award? I knew you had nothing to…."
Hermione cut him off. "We have to sell the house."
Ron stared at her. "Are you nuts?"
Hermione showed. "I have to repay it."
Ron stared at the papers. "It was a scholarship."
A voice came from behind. "A memorial one."
Hermione turned. "Harry?"
Harry smirked. "You remember what I look like do you?"
Ron glared. "You are behind this."
Harry turned. "Behind this?"
"Hermione losing her scholarship?"
Harry reminded him. "I don't work for the ministry."
Ron glared. "You are head of the governors. And on the Wizengot."
Harry smirked. "The Wizengot doesn't handle such minor matters."
Hermione sighed. "And this is not Hogwarts."
Ron glared. "We know you are behind this."
Harry smirked. "Have bigger birds to fry."
Ron grabbed his arm. "You will fix it."
Harry pulled away. "Or what Ron? I'd be more threatened by Neville."
Ron glared. "That oinker?"
"He has more political power then you ever would, and likely better with a wand."
Harry left them standing there and went to leave the ministry. He had not touched Percy and his wife and he was not sure he would. Percy had always been a git but he was not involved. He had actually worked for Cornelius, even when the man was out of office, during the war. He had never taken money or advantage of Harry's name. Harry was not out for petty revenge, and would not just go after them all.
He met Draco later at the Malfoy townhouse. "Thanks."
Draco turned. "For what?"
Harry smiled. "Helping with Hermione."
Draco assured him. "We are looking into Ron."
Harry admitted. "Felt good."
"Not a bad thing to admit."
"It is supposed to be about justice."
Draco assured him. "Doesn't mean it can't feel good to have it after all this."
Harry agreed. "And when it is done, will be even better."
Draco heard his stomach grumble. "We should get you fed."
"I should get home to Bree."
Draco reminded him. "Remus has her. You need to eat."
Harry nodded. "I guess it has been a while since breakfast."
Draco smirked as he took him to Diagon. "You know there is this meal called lunch right/"
Harry had a sheepish look. "I guess I was too busy."
Tom saw them come in. "Welcome back Harry, I was so happy to hear you were alive."
Harry smiled at the old bar keep. "Thanks Tom."
Harry remembered coming through here when he had first come back from Canada. The man had spoken to him but just as any customer. Harry could admit how nice it was to have the man's usual welcome returned. It felt odd to sit there in a restaurant and have lunch with Draco like this. He had not done this since Canada, he had only been in public in disguise, and not at ease like this since he came home. It was nice, and as he ate and laughed with Draco, he could admit Draco was amazing company. He was enjoying himself so much, he knew he should have realized that it would not continue. They had taken precautions to make sure he was safe, but there was never a moment of peace it seemed.
He was confused when someone came over to the table. "What are you doing here?"
