Hey ya'll! Sorry for the late update. School's starting up again . Ughhh which means a little less updating. But I'm gonna get in as many chapters as I can. Just a heads up, I'm planning on having at least 30 chapters MAX for this story. So not that many left. But I will try my hardest to complete it. This chapter just gives a brief background on where Jazmine is gonna stay for a long while. Let's get to the story! DON'T OWN BOONDOCKS! Enjoy!

Riley called all of them a cab because none of them were in any shape or form sober enough to drive. Especially the hurt, raging fury Kung Fu mind that just lost the love of his life. After Huey punched multiple holes in the walls, Riley decided it was best to leave. Cindy tried running after Jazmine, but she was running way too fast and couldn't keep up with her. When she came back, the cab was already pulling up. Riley opened the back door and slid in to the middle seat with Cindy in tow. Huey walked around to the opposite side of the car and got in. Riley told the driver to take them home.

"Just stay the night with me k?" Riley suggested to Cindy. With teary eyes, she agreed and laid her head on his shoulder.

"I tried finding her, I really did," she sobbed softly.

"Don't worry babe. It's not your fault," he said rubbing her shoulder.

"It's mine," Huey growled. "I broke her heart…and now she's never coming back."

They looked over at him as if he were a time bomb, that was a time bomb about to go off in a matter of 5 seconds.

Huey just sat in his seat, slumped over looking out the window. He couldn't believe what just happened. One moment everything was going so great, the next, catastrophe. He could have sworn that it was Jazmine kissing him. But he was too drunk to notice. But that was a poor excuse. She was depending on him to protect her and love her. And he threw it back in her face. She could be anywhere by now. Would she come back? He didn't know. He didn't know how long he could last without her. He was afraid he just might go insane without her by his side. It gave him a migraine just thinking about it. What have I done, he thought. He fought off the tears until they pulled up to their house.

When they all got out, they poorly made their way to the door. Huey unlocked it, turned the knob and pushed the door open. When they were all inside, Huey just let go. He was barely to the stairs. He sat down on the third step and buried his face in his hands, doing the one thing he has sworn to himself and his parents' graves what he would never EVER do,… cry.

Riley, never seeing his brother like this, made his way over to him and sat next to him, but cautiously (VERY cautiously) wrapped an arm around his shoulders. Huey tensed up at first but let him comfort him. Cindy looked down at them and just let the tears fall as well.

"I'm going to bed," Cindy said softly. Riley looked up at her and nodded.

"I'll be up in a minute," Riley said with an arm still around his brother.

Cindy walked past them, but stopped beside Huey, and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry Huey," she whispered. Huey just kept his face buried and she continued up the stairs.

When Huey heard Riley's door close, he finally spoke. "What am I gonna do?"he sobbed. "I can't lose her Riley, I just can't."

"She'll come back bro," Riley reasoned. "She can't possibly think that you would cheat on her."

"But she does Riley," Huey said a little more angry. "And now she's gone. I don't know where she went or where she might go. I have no way of contacting her."

"If she was smart, she would come back," Riley said. "And even if she weren't to come back…"

Huey looked up out of his hands with a death glare.

"I'm just saying!" Riley quickly defended. Huey shook his head and looked down at the ground. "If you're as good of a teacher I think you are, Jazmine will know how to protect herself."

Huey looked up at him. He did have a point. Jazmine was a great fighter and would be more than able to defend herself.

But he wasn't so sure.

Jazmine followed Shadow for quite a while. It seemed like an hour, maybe two. She walked with her arms crossed and her eyes never left the ground. During the walk, she thought long and hard about many things. Was she ready to say goodbye to everything and everyone she used to love? Throw away her future, her dreams?...Yes she was sure. Nothing nor no one from her past was important to her anymore. She loved no one. She cared about nobody….not even…Huey Freeman. He was no longer part of her. Nothing to her. She had to say goodbye to him for good.

"Where are we going," she finally asked.

"Wow! She speaks," Shadow exclaimed sarcastically. Jazmine rolled her eyes. "We're going home, your new home."

"And where is that may I ask?" Jazmine asked smugly.

"Here," Shadow said walking them into a cave.

"You can't be serious," Jazmine complained.

"I'm not," he retorted. He lifted up a flat rock and the ground shifted.

Out of the rocks rose a metal platform. Shadow stepped onto it. He held out his hand to Jazmine, who looked quite scared. He held out his hand further. Jazmine hesitantly took it and he pulled her up onto it. The platform then sank to the ground underneath the cave. The platform lowered them into a whole headquarters. They stepped off the platform and onto the floor. The walls were white, the floors were marble and pillars made of jade. There was security around EVERY corner, who's heads turned to look at the mulatto beauty as soon as she passed. Shadow led her through the halls. They passed a gym, a kitchen, a couple bedrooms, and window that exposed an outside view of a field. It looked like a training field.

"This is the field where you will be doing most of your training," Shadow informed. "Training is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10:30 am – 1:00 pm." Jazmine nodded listening to him. "While you're here, just imagine this as a home you've never had. In time, you will come to trust me." Jazmine just hung her head and rubbed her arm innocently. They walked to the elevator and got in. Shadow pushed the next button up. As they stepped onto the 2nd floor, it was a different atmosphere. "This is the more homey floor of the building. This is where my apprentices stay."

"Apprentices" Jazmine asked.

"Oh, well I mean you and one other." Other?, Jazmine thought. "I don't need much use of a bunch of apprentices. One or two will be just fine."

"Then what is the use of all these bedrooms," Jazmine asked.

"There is no use," Shadow said. "Just a little extra room."

There was a little living room with a TV and a radio. Across from it was a small dining room. From the dining room led a hallway where there were bedroom doors.

"I guess I should show you to your room." Shadow suggested. Jazmine nodded. She was kind of getting tired of walking around in what she had on from the party. She could use a long hot shower by now.

A couple doors down, they finally reached her door. He handed her a key. She took it and put it in the lock. As she opened the door, her eyes widened in shock. It was kind of like a hotel room, except for bigger and way better. There was a king sized bed with gray, black and white fluffy pillows, a large black comforter with light grey sheets underneath. There was a chair and a leather couch. There was a dresser beside it and paintings along the walls. She walked around the corner. There was a full sized bathroom, bigger than hers. It had a full length mirror with a sink in front of it. There was a Jacuzzi bathtub and a glass shower. Everything was glistening. She walked back into her bedroom and around the other corner. She looked in the closet, which was a walk-in closet,… and full of her clothes?

"How did…?"

"I've memorized the clothes you bought and gotten you the same ones," Shadow said. Jazmine looked uncertain for a moment but shrugged it off. She looked on a different rack and saw that it was full of white Kung Fu training outfits. She touched them. They were incredibly soft. "These will be your training clothes. We have a laundry maid who comes by once a week. She will take care of any dirty laundry you have."

He turned around to leave.

"Wait, I..." Jazmine stammered. Shadow turned around.

"I..just w-wanted to say thank you," she stammered again. "I don't know what to think at this moment, but I do feel like it's the right decision."

"And that it is," he agreed. "With me, you will live a life of strength, power, and fulfillment." Jazmine inwardly smiled. "I suggest you get some rest this weekend. You will need it." And with that, he left the room closing the door behind him.

Jazmine just stood there in her damp clothes. She walked back into the bathroom and removed her clothes. She got out a towel from the cupboard and went to the shower.

She stood there in the hot steaming water, just thinking. This was the life she chose and nothing will change her mind. Was it a life of crime? A life of possible future harm? She didn't care. She wanted to be rid of all the hurt that she went through before.

When she got out, she quickly re-flat ironed her hair and put on her pajamas in the dresser, a pink lace tank top, and pink and peach plaid pajama pants. Right when she was about to lie in her new bed, a knock came at the door. She inwardly groaned and walked to the door. There was no peep hole so she just attached the door lock chain and peeped it open. There before her stood a handsome young face.

"Hi, Jazmine?" he asked. Jazmine nodded through the door. "I'm Cairo. I'm his other apprentice." Jazmine inwardly gasped. Cairo, why does that name sound familiar? she thought. "I heard that you were finally here, and I thought I would meet you." He said with a slight grin.

"Nice to meet you," she said timidly. He was pretty handsome. He was light skinned, like Chris Brown light skinned, with dark green, grayish eyes. He was very well toned. She could tell through his white T and grey plaid pajama pants.

"Would be nicer if I didn't have to speak to you through the door," he teased with a sexy grin. Jazmine just blushed and chuckled.

"Sorry," she chuckled. She closed the door and undid the chain. But before she opened the door again, she squeezed her eyes shut and sighed deeply. Whyyyy does he have to be cute whyyyy?! she thought. She then got a hold of herself and opened the door. "Come in?" He smiled and stepped in. She closed the door behind them.

"How do you like this place so far," he asked sitting down on the leather couch. She hesitantly made her way to the couch but wasn't sure about sitting down. "It's okay Jazmine," he chuckled. "I don't bite."

She smirked and gave in, sitting down next to him. "It's…okay I guess." she said softly. "I'm just…"

"Scared?" he interrupted. Jazmine nodded. "Don't worry. I was too when I first came here."

"How long have you been here?" she asked, finally finding her voice.

"Since I was 11," he told her. Jazmine's eyes widened. "Yeah, I've been here a while."

"How old are you? Just asking," Jazmine said.

Cairo chuckled. "Eighteen," he said. Jazmine celebrated inwardly.

"What about your family?" Jazmine asked. She saw his face turn dark and regretted asking. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

"No, it's okay," he reassured. "They kicked me out. I turned to the drug game after a best friend of mine left. He was the only friend I had and he left without a care. Then Shadow found me. I haven't turned back since…but, a year after I was gone, Shadow told me that they had died in a car crash searching for me." Jazmine's face saddened.

"I'm so sorry," Jazmine said.

"So am I," Cairo sighed. "But enough about me," he said shaking it off. "What about you?"

"Well, I guess I just haven't been having the best of luck with people who I thought loved me," she said. "My father is controlling and abusive, a boy who I have danced with since I could walk ended up being a pervert who just wanted to get in my pants, and my boyfr…my ex boyfriend…ch-cheated on me, after promising me he would never hurt me. He's protected me and cared for me for 7 years, and chooses now to break a promise," she said getting angrier and angrier. Her fists balled up in her lap.

"That's terrible," he said. "Who was he?"

"His name was Huey, Huey Freeman," she stated. It was Cairo's turn to be shocked. But his face turned angry as well as hers.

"Huey Freeman huh?" he asked. "That's the friend who left me," he stated.

Then it all came back to her. "Cairo!" she exclaimed. "Cairo Grunfield! You're the one who head butted Huey when he tried apologizing for punching you in the eye!"

"Yup, that's me," he stated. "And I still don't regret it."

"Wow," she sighed. Cairo scooted a little closer to her.

"I'm sorry for what he did to you," he said softly. "You deserve better." Jazmine just looked down at her lap where her fists were still balled up. "You know you don't have to worry about being hurt here…with me."

"Trust is something I've become short of Cairo," she said with a stern look on her face. "And I doubt you should trust me."

"I'll take my chances," he said putting a hand over her balled up fists. They loosened at his touch.

"You're gonna run out of them," she said pulling her hands away and getting up off the couch.

Cairo just chuckled and stood up also. "Okay, I can get a hint," he sighed. Jazmine walked him to the door. "See you around," he whispered giving her a slightly lustful look.

"See ya," Jazmine whispered back. He stepped backwards out of the room and out of the door frame, the two never breaking eye contact.

Jazmine closed the door and pressed her back to it. She palmed her forehead and groaned.

"What's wrong with me?" she groaned.
