Huey laid in his bed, thinking about what she said to him.

"I mean, that if you try calling me again…I will…KILL…YOU!" he remembered.

He has never heard her talk like that. She sounded so dark, hateful, and ferocious. Wherever she was, or whoever she was spending time with, was not putting positive ideas in her head. Huey didn't want to admit it, but he was pretty scared of Jazmine. He already was scared of her, but in the friendly challenging kind of way. But now, he was frightened of her.

He had to find a way to make amends with her. But he couldn't do it with her threatening him like this. He had to find her soon, and fast, before he lost her completely, or worse, before she lost herself.

But how? He didn't know.

He hadn't felt this hopeless since his parents died in that car crash so long ago. That day changed his life forever. That day was the day, his heart emptied itself of love, affection, and sincerity. That is, until the day he met Jazmine. But now she was gone. He got the same knot feeling in his stomach thinking about the comparison between Jazmine leaving and the untimely leaving of his parents. He got misty eyes as he reminisced that dreadful night.

Five year old Huey sat in the back seat of the automobile, playing with his stuffed monkey that hung on the back and attached at the neck. 3 ½ year old Riley was on the other side in his car seat sleeping with a tiger striped keychain gripped tightly in his hand. But how could anybody sleep from the loud thunderstorm happening outside?

They had all just left The Chicago Zoo. They spent ALL day there. It was almost 8:30 pm by the time they had left. Then out of nowhere, a dangerous thunderstorm took over the city. The rain beat down on the car so hard, it sounded exactly like thunder itself. The couple couldn't see within a yard of the car.

"Don't worry, it'll let up soon," Mr. Freeman said to his wife, who was tensed up in the passenger seat.

"I think we should pull over until it does hon'," she insisted. "This is pretty bad."

"Don't be ridiculous," he shrugged off. "It's just a harmless shower."

She just sighed and turned around in the seat to look at their beautiful children. She smiled at Huey who was laughing away at his new stuffed animal friend.

"Yeah! Monkey!" he exclaimed tossing it in the air and catching it by the head.

"Did you have a fun time honey," Mrs. Freeman asked sweetly. Huey nodded excitedly as he smiled a toothy smile.

"Yes, mommy," he said in his meek little voice. He looked into her light brown eyes. "I love you Mommy," he said more calm. "I love you Daddy."

Mrs. Freeman chuckled heartedly, as did Mr. Freeman.

"I love you too honey,"

"Love you too Huey," they both said together. Huey giggled again as he continued playing with his monkey.

Then, in a flash, of what seemed to be lightning, everything went blank.

Huey woke up in a large white bed. He opened his eyes until they were just half-lidded. His eyesight was awfully blurry. He tried to move, but was unsuccessful. He could hardly move anything, let alone feel anything. He tried moving his head. He turned it to the left and saw someone sitting there by the foot of his bed. He couldn't make out who it was. He let out a weak groan. Within a second, the head lifted and got closer to the head of the bed.

"Huey?" Granddad asked in a shaky voice. "It's Granddaddy. I'm here son, I'm here."

"Br..brotherr," Huey said awfully weak in a whisper.

"He's here," he said assuredly and convincingly. "He's right next to you."

Huey tried turning his head a bit more. He saw Riley in what seemed like a more crib-like bed. But Riley had an awful lot more tubes and bandages around him. If Huey could feel his face, he would be giving a scared and worried look. He turned his head slowly back to Granddad.

"Gr..Grand," Huey tried whispering, before Granddad interrupted.

"Don't speak Huey. It's okay son. He's okay. You're okay. You both are okay," he informed.

"M-mommyy..Da..Daddy," Huey got out.

Granddad couldn't hide his face. His eyes immediately watered. He just sighed and took Huey's petite hand.

"You go back to sleep now," Granddad's voice cracked.

Huey just relaxed and closed his eyes, falling in a deep slumber.

And that was it. The marking period of Huey's hatred for the world. Huey laid there in his bed, tears streaming down his cheeks, remembering the last look he got at his beautiful mother. He held onto that beautiful smile, those hypnotizing eyes, and the sweet voice saying, "I love you too honey,".

When Huey and Riley had fully recovered, Granddad had solemnly told them about their parents. Lightening had touched ground right by the road they were driving on, right in front of their car, knocking down a huge tree that landed across the whole road. They ran straight into it. Mr. Freeman flew through the windshield and died instantly. Mrs. Freeman's head flew to the side and hit the window forcefully. She was alive for a while, but died in the Ambulance truck on the way to the hospital. They could have survived if, of course, they had their seatbelts on….just tragic.

For a whole month, they did nothing but cry their eyes out. They stayed with their Aunt Cookie until the age of 10, when Granddad suggested that they should live with him in Woodcrest, where Huey would soon meet the love of his life, the beautiful Jazmine Dubois.

Huey looked over at his dresser, at the picture of them two. They were probably 13 or 14, somewhere around there. They were sitting on Jazmine's front porch, well Huey was. Jazmine was sitting sideways on his lap, facing him. She had his face in his hands, giving him a kiss on the cheek. His face, of course, was a dull scowl looking at the camera.

He sat up on his bed and grabbed the picture frame. He looked down at it even sadder. He stroked her face in the picture with his thumb.

"Huey," Riley said coming into the room. He walked around to the other side of the bed where Huey was sitting and sat down next to him. "You shouldn't do this to yourself."

"I don't know what to do Riley," Huey said.

"Don't worry man," Riley said in a cheery tone trying to lighten him up. "She'll come back."

"No she won't Riley," Huey exclaimed getting up off the bed. "She just threatened to kill me when I tried apologizing to her! I don't know where she is, what she's doing, or who she's with! I have no clue on how to find her…." He looked off into space for a moment. " I don't even think she wants to be found."

"She threatened to kill you?" Riley asked. Huey nodded. "Shit."

"Riley, I just can't lose her," Huey said softly but serious. "She is the only one I have ever truely loved besides my own family since…"

"Since what man?" Riley asked curiously.

"Since Mom and Dad died," Huey answered.

Riley stood back and froze at his answer. He wasn't prepared for that one. He may not have exactly remembered them, but he did know for a fact that he loved them. "Huey…man" Riley sighed.

"I know," Huey sighed with him. "It's just that…it feels exactly like how I felt all those years ago. And I can't go through that again. I just…c-can't." Huey said, his voice cracking.

Riley saw his brother breaking down. He did the only thing he could do. He pulled him into a tight hug. They've never hugged like this before…EVER. This had to be a moment of complete hurt and desperation for a hug like this, which it was.

"We'll get her back bro," Riley whispered, his eyes tearing up as well. "I promise."

Friday night…

Jazmine was making her way back to her room, favoring her left hip, where a black and blue bruise was forming. Raze had decided to go extra long for training today again. Believe it or not, this was the first major hit she has ever gotten since she's been there. She unlocked her door and stumbled in, falling on the cushiony chair. She was getting along with the training pretty well, awesomely matter of fact. She made Cairo look like she has been there far longer than he has…hopefully he didn't get too upset about that. But hey! She ain't one to let boys think they have more power just because of seniority or strength.

She got up off the chair, grunting as she did.

"Shit!" she cursed quietly. She made her way to the shower. She removed her training clothes and threw them in the hamper. She got in the shower and cleaned herself. As she was conditioning her hair, she went over the events that had happened the past week. Tuesday, Cairo took her out for lunch at Red Lobster, under the supervision of security to make sure nothing bad happened to them…or to make sure they didn't try running away.

"Why do they have to come with us?" Jazmine asked tearing off a piece of the butter and cheese biscuit.

"To make sure we don't run away," Cairo answered solemnly. Jazmine froze.

"Run away?" she asked. "You mean…we can't leave?"

Cairo shook his head. "Nope. Unless it's for an assignment, or he gives you personal permission, for like…say a funeral, homesickness, or just to take a break. He'll give you like a week or two before you have to come back."

"And if you don't?" Jazmine asked scared.

Cairo didn't answer. He just looked down at the bread appetizers. "You get beaten…severely…" he paused. "I tried running away once…" Jazmine looked at him curiously. "I didn't think I could handle this place. They found me within 2 days, brought me back, and…" he stopped.

"I'm sorry," Jazmine said placing her hand over his. He flinched at her touch but relaxed and interlaced their fingers. He smiled at her and she smiled back. "But enough of bad memories," she shook off. "Let's just have fun tonight."

Cairo chuckled and agreed.

They joked, laughed, and flirted the whole night. Jazmine remembered after dinner and after going out for snow cones, they were driven back to their secret underground cave headquarters. Cairo walked her to her room. But before she unlocked the door, Cairo softly grasped her wrist and stroked it.

"I had fun tonight Jazmine," Cairo said. Jazmine looked into his eyes and smiled.

"Me too, Cairo," she said back. "Thanks for tonight."

They stayed looking in each other's eyes, hands interlocked. Jazmine snapped out of it first.

"Umm…we should probably turn in huh?" she said. Cairo chuckled and nodded. Jazmine was about to turn around, but not before Cairo gave her a peck on the cheek.

"Goodnight, Jazmine," he whispered. Jazmine's heart was literally racing.

"G-goodnight," she said turning around and quickly unlocking the door. When she stepped in and turned around, she closed the door slowly keeping eye contact with him until it completely closed.

Jazmine had gotten out of the shower. She put in leave-in conditioner and hair mouse in her now curly hair and slipped in her comfortable PJ pants and a sleeping bra and a spaghetti strap tank top. She brushed her teeth and put on some lotion. She turned on the radio and just relaxed on her bed. She was so ready to just spend this whole weekend sleeping and chilling out.

She closed her eyes and was about to doze off before a knock came at her door. She got up and walked to it, opening it all the way. Of course, there stood Cairo, looking sexy as always in his sleeping attire. The two completely forgot to talk because they were too busy taking in each other's sexiness. (kind of a blunt word I know lol but I didn't know what else to choose haha) Jazmine spoke first.

"Yes, Cairo?" she asked trying to sound attractive.

"May I come in?" Cairo asked. Jazmine nodded and let him pass. She closed the door behind them. She sat down on the bed and he followed.

"Is something wrong?" Jazmine asked.

"Yes..and no," Cairo said shuffling his hands. "I don't know how to say this."

"Just speak your mind," Jazmine said softly.

"Jazmine I…I can't stop thinking about you. Whenever I'm away from you, you are ALL that is on my mind," he started. "You are most wonderful, strong, independent, and beautiful young woman I have ever known in my life. Ever since I've been here, I didn't know what love was. Being the only apprentice here for nearly 8 years, has made me a loveless person."

Jazmine listened almost shaking.

"But then I met you, and you turned my world upside down. I can't help but have huge feelings for you I've never had for anyone. You are very special to me and I couldn't go any longer without telling you. Spending time with you this week has meant more to me than my whole life," he said.

Jazmine sat there with a look of awe in her face. She tried to say something but all that came out was air.

"Say something," Cairo said.

"I…don't know what to say," Jazmine meekly said. "Cairo, you are an amazing person and trust me when I say that. You have no idea what I feel for you also." she gulped for what she was going to say next. "But I don't think I'm ready for this step."

Cairo got a disappointed look. He sighed and looked away from her.

"No no no Cairo just listen to me!" Jazmine tried pleading holding onto his arm.

"You're still in love with him," Cairo said getting up off the bed pulling his arm away.

"I never said that!" Jazmine defended.

"But you still have feelings for him!" Cairo argued.

"No!" Jazmine argued back. She got up off the bed also and stood next to him. "I never want to even think of him again Cairo! He's nothing to me! Nothing!"

"Then what's the big deal?" Cairo asked.

"Because my heart is still broken Cairo!" Jazmine shouted. "I have known him ever since I was 10! He acted like he loved me only to hurt me in the end. My heart is still sore and I can't take it! I just can't go from one man to the next in a single week!"

"Have you forgotten that I have known him since birth?" Cairo shouted back. "We were best friends too Jazmine and has hurt me as well! Now look at me! A lonely apprentice who KILLS for his master only to fill that hurt with more hurt!" Cairo shouted. Jazmine's eyes were starting to water. "Don't you make me pay for his mistakes!" Cairo said angrily. "And I won't make you pay for his from my broken heart."

"Cairo…I can't!" Jazmine angrily said.

"Tell me you don't love me! And I will leave you alone! It will be strictly friendship between us!" Cairo shouted.

Jazmine didn't know what to do! She froze where she stood.

"Cairo…" Jazmine said meekly about to cry.

"Just say it," Cairo said softer closing the space between them. "Say it."

She looked down at the floor. "I…"

"You what?" He stepped even closer, now within a centimeter from her, their bodies nearly touching.

"You want me to say it?" Jazmine asked looking into his eyes, stepping forward and leaning their foreheads together.

"Yes," he whispered onto her lips.

"I… I love you," she whispered into his mouth.

That was it. They closed in and locked lips for the first time. Jazmine stood up on her tip toes as her arms flung around his neck pulling his head close. Cairo wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her in close also. Cairo tilted his head to the side and deepened the kiss meeting her tongue. Jazmine's tongue danced with his. He pushed her to a wall, where he ground his hips into hers. She let out a moan into the kiss, as she wrapped a leg around his hip. They started making their way to the bed, knocking into the wall, the dresser, and the couch, still locking lips. Jazmine flung back onto the bed and pulled him down with her. Their lips met again as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. He got in between her legs and pressed his pelvic area into hers. Jazmine separated from the kiss and let out a gaspy moan as she felt his hardened member through his pajama pants, which was leant up directly into her sex. Cairo attacked her neck, growling as he did. Jazmine inhaled through her teeth in his ear, letting him know she liked it. He slipped his hand slowly up her tank top, savoring the feel of her silky smooth skin. His hand traveled up her shirt and under her sleeping bra. He grasped her left breast, massaging it softly. Jazmine's back arched, giving him more of it. Her hands slipped under his shirt as well, tickling his back. She felt wondrous muscles along his sides and spine, just wishing she could dig her nails through it. He rose her bra and tank above her head, exposing her goodies. Jazmine blushed as Cairo stared at the beauty he has been aching to see all week. He leaned back down on her and kissed her still massaging her breast.

"You are so beautiful," Cairo whispered in her ear.

"Don't you think we should even up," Jazmine teased. She smirked at him as she helped him rise the tshirt above his head. There before her was a body of pure heavenliness. She just stared at his abs and chest, licking her lips.

"Like what you see?" Cairo said smirking. Jazmine bit her lip lustfully and slowly parted her legs. She made a come here motion with her index finger.

"Come here and you can find out," she said in a low moan.

Cairo didn't hesitate.

He laid back on her and sucked her collar bone. Jazmine moaned loudly as he did. His hand made its way down her stomach and to her center. Jazmine's back arched higher and higher, the closer it got. He kissed her back on the lips, trying to get her to moan for him again. His hand slipped underneath her pants, then underneath her panties, and RIGHT when he got there, a knock came at the door.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me," Cairo said. He got off of her and let her out. She picked up her tank, and slipped it on. She answered the door to see Raze standing there.

"Why good evening Ms. Dubois," he said pleasantly. "Might I be interrupting something? I thought I heard a noise?" he asked knowingly.

"Umm. No nothing at all." Jazmine lied. "Can I help you?"

"Master Shadow would like to speak with you," Raze said. Jazmine froze where she stood.

"Umm o-okay," she stammered. "Give me a sec ok?" She closed the door and quickly put on her bra under her tank.

"What is it?" Cairo asked.

"Master Shadow wants to see me," she answered. "I'll be back okay?"

Cairo nodded. Before she grabbed the door handle. He got up and grabbed her by the waist, giving her a passionate kiss.

"Don't be long," he whispered smoothly on her lips.

Jazmine gave him a lustful smirk, then turned around and left the room.

"Ready?" Raze asked. Jazmine nodded and followed him to Shadow's office.

"I did interrupt something didn't I," Raze teased.

Jazmine just blushed.
