AN: If the only support for fluff is 'I like' or bellyaching because my spellcheck autocorrected an e, I guess it's time for it to end. After the push all story for more Drarry and see the relationship, the sudden plummet of support the second the drama ends, confuses me.
The birthday celebration had been bigger than Harry had hoped for. He was reminded the year before, all he had was Remus and Teddy, and Oliver when he got back from a game. They hadn't known he was alive back then. And growing up, he had never had a birthday either. Hagrid giving him a cake and Hedwig was the first. He had never replaced Hedwig, he used an elf or mail owls to deliver since he had got back. He knew he would need to with time but he had been focused elsewhere. Draco had considered buying him one for his birthday but thought Harry should choose. They had a big beach party for him and they had all enjoyed. Harry smiled as he watched his family all around him and he could admit it meant the world to him. Watching Draco take both Teddy and Bree to make a sandcastle, was likely one of his favorite moments. His brothers watched Harry staring at them and knew he was such a fool. They would make him see sense, they knew Fred would want it.
A week before school started, Harry was in London. He had brought Bree with him to do some shopping before they headed to school. It was different just walking with her and not worrying about anything but enjoying the day.
Harry turned to Draco. "What are you up to?"
"Up to?"
"Volunteering to shop with me."
Draco played innocent. "I wanted the day with you."
Harry didn't buy it. "Somehow don't believe it."
Draco admitted. "I have a gift for you."
"My birthday was weeks ago."
Draco shrugged. "Well this is part."
Harry was confused. "Shopping?"
Draco handed him something. "This?"
Harry looked at the voucher. "The owl emporium."
"I knew you were ready to get a new one."
"I guess."
Draco directed the way. "Said you were ready to start moving on."
Harry had a coy smile. "Are you sure it's enough? I have expensive taste."
Draco smirked. "I will cover if not. I just needed something to give you."
"You could have bought me an owl."
"You should choose your own."
As they went into the emporium, Harry was reminded of getting Harry. She had been his life line, more than his pet, and he missed her. He had lost a lot in the war, not just his parents and his owl, but the man he loved too. But buying a new owl seemed like a good step for him. He smiled at the thought of taking Bree for a pet in a few years. Harry didn't see any snowy owls but he didn't think he would have gone for another again. Nothing could replace Hedwig in his heart and he had not wanted a similar owl to her. Instead Harry chose a dark brown European eagle owl, the same species as Draco and Severus he noted, but he did like the look. He decided to name his new owl Zephyr, for the Greek god of the west wind. Draco smiled as he watched Harry send his new owl home. He had been worried about his gift but was happy he had chosen right.
Harry and Draco did some more errands after he sent his owl home. He doubted he would ever have a bond like Hedwig, but he liked his choice. And he knew Hedwig would be happy he had a new owl. Remus had said that, but added, Fred would be if Harry found a new man.
He was enjoying the day when he groaned. "Damn."
Draco sighed. "Guess we should have known she'd be back."
Harry went to go past. "Don't wish to ruin the mood."
Draco agreed. "Maybe go for ice cream."
Ginny stopped them. "Harry."
Harry grunted. "I don't have time for you."
Ginny looked at Bree. "My niece, I am told."
Harry pulled the pram back. "You will keep back."
Ginny stopped. "I wanted to see you before I go."
"Go?"
"I am moving to Japan in two days."
"Japan? Have a craving for sushi?" Draco smirked.
Ginny ignored him. "I joined a team there."
Harry grunted. "Good luck."
Ginny asked. "Should I worry about a foreign owner?"
Harry knew what she meant. "Stay out of my life. I am done with your kind."
Ginny went to leave. "I am sorry for what my mother pulled."
Draco asked. "Do you believe her?"
"I do." Harry admitted. "At least about her mother."
He noted Ginny didn't mention her own actions. She had taken money and had dated him on orders from Albus as well. He had made sure she could not join the Harpies. He had no intention of pursuing her to Japan. As long as she remained there and out of his life, he didn't care now. Unlike Percy and Arthur who had done their best to make up for past mistakes, Ginny showed no personal remorse.
Draco tried to cheer things back up. "Ice cream."
Harry turned to him. "Ice cream."
Draco looked at Bree. "Little too young yet."
"I am sure she will soon enjoy. I wish Florean was around for one of his…."
Draco cut him off. "What do you mean?"
"I always liked him and he gave me free sundaes. I heard of his death."
Draco led him in. "He still runs the shop today."
Harry was shocked to see him. "I read his death in the paper."
Draco shook his head. "Tortured a bit, but he is pureblood, he survived."
Harry remembered others like Ollivander had. "Nice to see him back."
Florean had heard. "I could say the same thing for you young man."
Harry smiled. "I haven't been here since I came back."
The man surprised him with a sundae. "I don't believe I have forgotten."
Draco smiled as they sat outside. "Does everyone who meets you, love you? Tom, Florean, anyone else?"
Harry shrugged. "George."
As they had ice cream, he told Draco about the summer before third year. He had spent two weeks living here before school. Tom had kept an eye on him and he had often studied here at the parlor. Florean had helped him with homework and given him free sundaes. Harry seemed to have the same effect on shop owners as he did elves and others. Draco picked up Bree when she woke up, and thought Bree would be the same one day. Harry enjoyed his sundae and smiled as he watched the two of them together. He was still amazed how good Draco was with her.
Harry shook his head when Draco asked about visiting George. "He is in Scotland signing the papers."
George had finally done what he had been trying to get Harry to do, move on. He had found out his wife was pregnant, and it seemed to be a sign. He found out Zonko's was for sale and he bought the second shop. Lee was happy to run it, he had worked for George in London, since the war. He was a quidditch commentator too, but most of his games were up north. With some extra funds from Harry, the store was soon transformed. Harry was a full partner, though he would only take half ownership, in the name of Bree. Bree was the Potter heir. Though the Potters were very wealthy, and he had four homes in the UK and two abroad as well as the ruins, nowhere near the wealth of the Blacks. Combined with her shares from Fred in WWW, it was extensive. Harry hoped to have more kids if he moved on one day, or Bree would inherit Black as well.
Harry, Bree, Remus and Teddy settled into school. Though officially they had two sets of apartments, their sitting rooms were open to each other. Harry was definitely not ready to not be with Moony, even as an adult. But Bree settled into school and Harry found he loved to teach there.
On Halloween Draco came. "Leaving already?"
Harry reminded him. "The party was yesterday."
"Too early for trick or treating."
"Bree is a bit too young."
"Running away from home?"
Harry laughed. "Going to the hospital for George and Angie."
Draco remembered. "Their ultrasound."
"I kind of hope for twins."
Draco smirked. "Not sure Angie would agree."
Harry shrugged. "Fitting, the third generation."
Draco thought. "Well George is the only twin who…"
Harry assured him when he stopped. "It's okay."
Draco looked at Bree. "Cousins for her."
Harry was happy for the change. "Now Victoire is in France."
Draco thought. "Better be one boy, two girls now."
"Three." Harry said quietly.
Draco motioned. "Let's not think on that."
Draco actually accompanied him and Bree to the hospital. Rose had been settled in with Hermione's parents and seemed to be thriving. Arthur saw her often from what Harry knew. Percy and Penny were expecting a little boy they had found out, so one grandson on the way already. Angie had not found out till mid-August but she was just over three months pregnant. She had been pregnant during the stress of the trials and more. She had passed off the symptoms as stress from everything going on during the time. They were all happy with the real reason. Percy's son, just learning the gender a week ago, was due in March. George's baby was due a month later in mid-April, weeks after Bree's first birthday.
George and Angie were happy that Draco had come as well. Harry and Draco were growing so much closer, but they were not dating yet. The brothers were teaming up to work on that. Severus had even been noted to say, that the two were fools not to see it.
The healer surprised the couple. "It seems you are having twins."
George was shocked. "Twins?"
Angie had tears. "Merlin help us."
Charlie agreed. "Imagine if they are both boys."
The healer said. "Bit too early to tell."
George kissed his wife. "Blessings either way."
Angie looked at Harry. "We thought Fred if a boy."
Harry assured them. "Seems fitting."
George hugged him. "And he will of course need you as godfather."
Harry motioned. "We should go out and celebrate."
Angie agreed. "Me and the baby…twins are hungry."
George laughed. "Never say I argued with a pregnant woman."
Harry suggested. "Why don't we go to Grimmauld?"
Angie smirked. "Maybe we forget to invite you after all."
George smirked. "How do I know you are up to something?"
Harry looked innocent but he was up to something. They did find a small dinner party waiting for them at Grimmauld. Angie's parents had come. Viktor and Oliver, Katie and Alicia had all come as well. They had failed to set up Harry and Draco so far, but it seems they had not failed with two other targets. There was no missing that Oliver and Viktor were dating, when they arrived at the dinner together.
Harry spotted it. "Got into some prank candy gum."
Oliver turned. "What are you going on about/"
George agreed. "You two are stuck together."
Viktor smirked. "Fine, you were right."
Oliver added. "Worried you'd keep trying to set me up with Charlie. Self-defense."
Charlie snarled. "Not my type."
Viktor pouted. "The only reason?"
Oliver kissed him. "Maybe a few others."
Harry laughed. "Will have to tell Fleur we both succeeded."
Oliver put him in a head lock. "Fair play you know."
Viktor agreed. "May be harder."
George shook his head. "Plenty of help."
Harry blushed a bit. "Have no idea what you speak of."
George nudged Draco. "But someone else does."
Dinner was a happy event and Harry was happy that Draco had joined them. Harry could admit to himself at least, he was seeing Draco in a different way. But he doubted that Draco could ever see him as more than a friend. Draco had been a constant playboy in school, and before he came to Canada. Harry doubted that he could ever see dating a single dad. Harry though was not the only one with the comments in his head. As he took Harry back to school later, Draco decided he needed to broach the subject. The plotting of the friends and family was not missed.
Draco admitted. "They are not wrong, I am attracted. I thought maybe you'd let me take you out for dinner on the weekend."
Harry was surprised but he could admit, happy. "I'd like that a lot."
