Song: Save Me - Nicki Minaj (DON'T OWN THAT EITHER!)
Jazmine tossed and turned in Cairo's arms as they slept in her bed. Her closed eyes squeezed and twitched frantically as she sighed and gasped. Her naked, smooth skin rubbed up against his asperous torso trying to find comfort. She kept shifting and shifting until she violently parted herself away from him and onto her side of the bed, where the still-damp sheets and pillowcases cooled her twitching body. Cairo didn't exactly let her have the audacity of drying off after her shower. But whatever affairs happened afterwards, were taking a negative toll on Jazmine as nightmare braced itself upon her.
Images of Wuncler's assassination kept replaying in her head. It was like she was reliving the whole thing all over again. But the feeling was 10x more intense. She looked down at Wuncler as she drove her sword into his chest, more violently and savagely. As she stood over him, the doors busted open. There stood Huey Freeman, looking at the scene and criminal before him, except this time he didn't look so afraid, more angry and determined.
"You're gonna pay for this Jazmine," he growled. She froze where she stood. How did he know it was her?
He lunged out at her and tackled her to the floor. She kicked her leg up as he flew over her and into the wall. She lunged out at him and tried punching him but he blocked every one. He grabbed her arm and swung her into the wall. She grunted in pain as the wind was escaped her lungs. He plunged his fist deep into her torso, causing her to lose even more breath, and he back fisted her to the floor. She landed with a loud thud. She tried to breathe but was unsuccessful. He walked over to her defeated body and knelt down to her face. He reached by her side and drew out her sword and put it up to her chest.
"You betrayed us," he snarled. "You don't deserve to live for what you did."
"Fuck you!" Jazmine spat. "You betrayed me! You never loved me! You wanna kill me? Go ahead and do it! You ain't got the guts!" She gave him a cocky smirk.
Huey glared as he put more pressure on the blade. But his face softened and he let go of the sword. She took advantage of the opportunity. She kicked him off of her and did a series of moves on him, each one successfully impaling him until he hit the floor. She took out her pocket knife and held it to his throat.
"You may think you have a power over me" she whispered in his face. "But you are dead wrong! I am more powerful, more strong, and more dangerous than you will ever be."
"Hurting and killing people you once loved is power?" Huey pointed out. Jazmine put more pressure on the blade.
"I never loved anyone. And I certainly .YOU!" she screamed. "Any last words Freeman?"
"Yeah...wake up," he said kicking her off of him. Jazmine looked at him questioningly on the floor. "Wake up Jazmine...wake up! WAKE UP!"
Jazmine woke up to Cairo kneeling above her, shaking her.
"Jazmine! JAZMINE! WAKE UP!" Cairo shouted.
She sat up with a start, breathing hard and gently sweating. She looked up at Cairo who still had his hands on her shoulders. She pulled up the covers above her chest trying to shield her nudeness. He looked at her confusedly.
"Jazmine, you were kicking and screaming in your sleep," he said softly. "What's going on?"
Jazmine just looked up at him with watery eyes. She didn't want to tell him about her nightmare. It would just bring up drama about how she is not over Huey. She DEFINITELY didn't want to mention that Huey was at the scene where she killed Wuncler. She claimed she did not love Huey and that he was in her past. But something about him was haunting her and was causing her to lose her mind. God! Not this again! She didn't know what to feel anymore. She thought about what she saw in Master Shadow's office, the files and files of all the assassinations he has sent his apprentices to fulfill. She remembered the photo of Huey and how she would probably be assigned to do away with him. Her eyes watered even more at the thought of it.
"Jazmine?" Cairo asked again.
Jazmine just dropped her head and threw her arms around his shoulders, bringing him close to her. He jumped but hugged her back as she sobbed in his chest. He laid them down in their previous position with her head on his chest and his arms still wrapped around her as she cried softly.
"Oh Cairo, what am I turning into?" Jazmine whimpered. She lifted her head up to look him in his eyes.
"What do you mean, Jazmine?"
"I feel like I'm losing my mind about this. Like I'm turning into a completely different person, or not even a person...a monster."
"Jazmine, you are NOT a monster." Cairo said holding tight to her.
"But Cairo, what I did to Wuncler...and Darell" her voice got caught in her throat as she started to cry again.
"Jazmine, they had it coming to them." Cairo reassured. "Think about all the pain they caused you. They deserved the punishment you gave them. You feed off of the pain and hurt they impaled on you which makes you stronger. And in the end, it was you who came up on top and sent them straight to the bottom."
"But Cairo, they aren't the ones who..." her voice was silenced by his lips. He rolled them over with him on top.
"Jazmine, you are stronger than you think. I know it's hard. It's all a question of if you are worthy to move on from it." He said softly. He bent down and met his lips to hers. He positioned himself in between her legs and the kiss got more heated. But Jazmine was still a little shook up. She wasn't exactly trying to get into that right now. However, her body may have been showing otherwise.
"But Cairo..., that's... the thing," she whispered in between kisses.
"What is?" he said starting to get aroused.
"I don't know... if I have moved on from..." she paused. Maybe she's said too much.
Cairo stopped. "Moved on from what?"
"From...uhh.." She got a worried look on her knelt up and had a look of disbelief on his face. "I'm sorry, I just..."
Cairo flung his legs over the bed and got up obviously angry.
"No, no no. Cairo please listen to me," Jazmine said about to cry again.
"I don't need to listen to this anymore," Cairo growled as he got dressed in his pajamas. "So what am I to you then hmmm?"
Jazmine quickly slipped her Vicky's on. "Cairo, you're my..."
"Your rebound? Your little fuck toy? Your pity sex?" he said harshly.
Jazmine was starting to cry. "No, Cairo! You're my friend!"
"Please," Cairo said in disbelief. "You can miss me with that."
She walked up to him and tried to grab his arm but he shook it away from her. "Please Cairo! You have to just trust me!"
"Why should I trust you when you can't trust me?"
"I do!" she shouted.
"Then tell me what's going on!" he shouted back.
"Cairo...I just can't!" she flailed her hands. "You won't understand!"
"Whatever," He sighed harshly and shook his head as he left, slamming the door behind him.
Jazmine just stood there in her room on the verge of screaming. She turned to the nearest wall and punched a giant hole in it.
I drove for miles
Just to find
You and find myself
All these screams
All these voices
In my head
You gave me strength
Gave me hope
For a lifetime
I never was satisfied
Fuck! She grunted. She pulled her hand out of the hole where her knuckles were bleeding and starting to swell.
She went to the bathroom and turned on the sink faucet to a comfortable warm. She stuck her hand under the faucet and rinsed it off. She gently stroked her hand under the water as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She looked at herself as if she were looking at a stranger randomly staring right back at her, confused and uneasy.
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
The dream started replaying in her head as she stared. You're gonna pay for this Jazmine! You betrayed us! You don't deserve to live!
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
She tried shaking it off but to no avail. When her hand stopped bleeding, she turned the faucet off and dried her hand off. She turned back to the mirror and looked at herself again. What has she become? She didn't know. This was all too much for her. She couldn't take it anymore. She needed someone to save her from this, to save her from herself!
It's not your fault
I'm a bitch
I'm a monster
Yes I'm a beast
And I feast
When I conquer
But I'm alone
On my throne
All these riches
I came this way
All this way
Just to say hey
She looked at her disheveled hair, her athletic torso and limbs, and her soft face, now hardened and permanently scowled. She imagined his face as hers, how it always remained that way except for when the one he loved wiped it off with a slight grin, her. But, the thing is, who was it that would put a grin back on hers? She started seeing Huey's reflection in the mirror. He smiled back at her as he put his hand up against it. Jazmine only half smirked as she put her hand up against his as well.
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
Jazmine snapped out of it as she pulled herself away from the mirror. She was seriously starting to lose it. She kept seeing him and hearing him in her head over and over and over again. She couldn't shake it. What was going on with her? She always talked about how she hated him, how she never loved him, and never will, but now...something has changed?
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
She looked at herself again. Ughhh! She couldn't stand to be in her own presence. How could she do this to her friends? Her Family? She has turned into the enemy. But who could blame her? She was hurt too! But was she taking things too far? She was so confused.
I'm givin up baby
I'm givin up baby
(feels like I've been driven for miles)
She grabbed fistfuls of her hair as she squeezed her eyes shut and crouched down over the bathroom floor weeping. She didn't know what to do. She was too blind from hatred and pain to see what she was really doing and now there was no going back.
I'm givin up baby
(and I can't seem to silence these voices in my head)
She needed someone who always got her out of bad situations.
This time won't you save me
(please save me)
Someone who has always been there for her.
This time won't you save me
(please save me)
She needed Huey back.
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
Just the thought of needing him again made her lose it. She collapsed on the ground and curled up in a ball sobbing. She felt so guilty betraying him like this, but at the same time she didn't. He was in the wrong and she was too. But who's to say? She just needed him now, like he's always been there.
This time won't you save me
This time won't you save me
Baby I can feel myself givin up
Givin up
She pulled and tugged at her hair as images of him and her together happily tortured her brain. She couldn't take it anymore. She had to get out, before she was sent on a mission she would regret forever. But how? Well...only one person could help her.
Huey held his caliber protectively pointed at the ceiling as he stared out the window drapes like he did when he was 10. There was too much on his mind for sleep. He was too focused for the coming hours to sleep. Riley and Cindy were sound asleep on the living room couches with their equipment ready in bags for the mission.
He would not get a wink of sleep until the woman he loved was back home safe and sound. He couldn't help but think about last night. God! He had never been so terrified in his life. Maybe he would be for a different criminal, but for Jazmine? That was what was most terrifying. He new the power she possessed before, but something or someone triggered something inside her that unleashed the ULTIMATE power within her.
All he had to do was reel her back in and confront her. But he didn't know how successful that would be. One could only hope...
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!
He looked at his watch which read 7:30 a.m. He looked back out of the drapes.
It's time...
