Again I didn't write the first three chapters GalacticDragonfly did so when reading this sucky chapter remember i am not a good writer as he is. and please rate and Review please but only constructive criticism and praise.

Chapter 4: Ace of Spades
-The Park 12:37PM-
Gumball watched as his gleeful girlfriend drove her long switchblade towards the screaming tubby masked man who quickly rolled away from sharp blade.
"Stay still jackass!"
Yelled Jamie as she raised up for another attack
Gumball was ignoring his sister who was now desperately trying to get her brothers attention quickly changing her mind about killing the man that had hurt her so.
"Gumball please stop" she whispered in vain
"No he deserves this!" Gumball screamed at his sister then sensed something with cat senses that he couldn't quite place but he chose to ignore it and egg on jamie who was chasing the man with her knife as he pleaded for his life.
"Please don't kill me, please!'' He screamed hoping his attacker would spare him.
As Jamie raised her knife for the killing blow she heard the sound of a gunshot that echoed in her ears
"Jamie!" Gumball screamed thinking that she had hit. Anais panicked thinking more kidnappers had come but realized that Jamie wasn't even hit.
Jamie was motionless as she was now holding a bladeless knife handle.
Gumball quickly pointed his gun in the direction of gun shot but was interrupted by a soft deep voice.
"I wouldn't try it kid."
Gumball turned to find a well dressed white falcon pointing a pure black 9mm glock at the preteen.
The tubby man took this opportunity to make a run for it but was stopped by the pink blue eyed donut holding a 12 gage shotgun.
"Where do you think your going Dickhead!'' said the donut pumping his shotgun.
"You can come out now Spade." said the white falcon towards the origin of the earlier gunshot.
Gumball watched as a white cat wearing a fedora and a perfectly tailored black pin striped suit approached the group. Gumball then saw him put his 44 magnum revolver in its holster concealed behind his black coat as he approached.
"Thanks Archer; Sheriff could you detain the gentleman in the mask please."
The Doughnut didn't waste any time handcuffing the fat blob of man escorting him to his cruiser.
Anais who had been quite finally spoke ending the awkward silence.
"Who are you" she asked shyly hiding behind Gumball
"Who me?'' the white cat said pointing at himself "Why I'm detective Spade and the falcon over there is my partner Archer and were handling your case now would the blue cat kindly give the gun to Archer."
Gumball handed his gun to the falcon who put it in an evidence bag. Archer then asked for all there names.
"Gumball Watterson" said the Blue cat
(Editorial note I had to make up a last name for Jamies family so when I'm horribly wrong forgive me.)
"Jamie" Said the gray ox
"What's your last name?" Said a calm Spade a calm that said he already knew the answer.
"Grace!" Jamie said almost yelling it which caused even Gumball to raise an eyebrow.
'Even I didn't know her last name' Gumball thought
"All right then, now what were you kids doing here today" Asked Archer
Anais then quickly explained how she had been kidnaped again and how Gumball and Jamie saved her leaving out the part about them trying to kill her rapist.
*huh* Spade sighed pushing up the brim of his hat.
"Well seems like a clear case of self defense to me, how 'bout you Archer?"
"yep."
"Alright I better get you kids home, Archer could you get Judge Taylor to sign some self-defence papers for Gumball and Jamie please" Said Spade.
"Sure."
"Thanks."
The partners reached a silent understanding about what happened that night and went their separate ways.
Spade then herded the kids into his black Crown Victoria
He let Anais sit in the front and Gumball and Jamie sat together in the back.
Spade put his key in the ignition and turned around to face Jamie.
"The phone you took from him please." Said Spade casualty.
"W-What?" Said a scared Jamie.
"The phone you took from the kidnaper when you saved Anais." Said Spade irritated that he had to explain.
She knew then that the detective knew everything without even him saying.
Gumball gave her a nod even though he wasn't sure himself his cat instincts told him Spade was trustworthy.
"So you knew the whole time?" Jamie said while handing over the phone.
"Yep I saw you two save Anais just like she said it happened" said Spade with a wink.
He then turned back to wheel and started the car and Asked where the kids lived Surprisingly Anais answered first.
"44 street" she said with her head down as she was on the verge of tears.
-44 street 12:41PM-
As Spade drove the kids home he got a call from Archer so he pulled the car over and took the call outside.
"What's up Miles."
"Just got to the station from Taylor's" said Archer on the other side of the phone.
"Well you get the papers" Said Spade.
"Yep, and you'll never what are new guest is a part of."
"What?"
"351st"
Spades eyes got big at that comment fully aware of what that meant 'they'll chase theses families to the ends of the earth which means....' Spade thought looking at the car.
"Archer are absolutely sure?"
"Yeap he's got the tattoos and record to prove it." Said Archer
"Speaking of him could you run his phones records for me" Spade said pulling out the kidnappers phone.
"Yea whats the number?"
"Its 555-555-9514." Spade read aloud from the back of the phone.
"Ok... he made one call...at 12:35PM... to my God."
"He called God?" Spade asked
"Um no and um dont freak but he called Denise apparently shes the oxs mom but I guess they changed their last name to Grace."
"Where do the Gutmans live." Asked a furious Spade
"14th Street Road, same place the Watterson girl was abducted and denise was...well you know."
"But thats..." Spade said in deep thought
"What wrong?" Asked Archer
"I'll tell you tomorrow" Spade said going back to the car
"Ok" Archer said hanging up the phone
Spade got back in the car without a word and quickly got back on the road and in about 3 minutes they arrived at the Wattersons home where Nicole was still panicking about losing Anais again so when the Crown Victoria pulled in the driveway she didn't even notice.
As Spade observed the scene he told the kids to stay in the car.
*huh*
"Well I better get her to calm down" Spade said more to himself than anyone else as he stepped out of the car.
It was only then Nicole saw the well dressed White cat approached her she raised her winchester rifle and said "Wheres my daughter" assuming the cat was one of the kidnappers
"Hey take it easy shes safe in the car and so's your son." Spade said with his hands up defensively.
"Who are you" asked a angry nicole still thinking the he was the bad-guy
"I'm Detective Spade of the Elmore police department special victims unit and I found your daughter, son and a Jamie Grace detaining the kidnaper."
Nicole lowered her gun and looked a the detective in disbelief
"Can I see her" asked a concerned nicole
"Yes but first please put the gun in the house" Said Spade pointing at the house
She quickly ran inside and and put the rifle back in the wall of the hallway and as she rushed for the door she was meet by a curious Darwin
"Whats the rush "
"Anais is back" said an excited Nicole
"What but how" Darwen said dumbfounded because he was so sure she was...
"Some detective found her in the park with Gumball and Jamie"
"Why were they there." Said Darwin raising an eyebrow
This made Nicole pause because in her haste she hadn't even thought of the fact they were there.
"I dont know...maybe they were walking home from the party."
"You never asked?" said Darwin
"No, but it doesn't matter right now only that Anais is safe." said Nicole worrying over her little girl.
Just as she said that Spade entered the house with Gumball And Anais
" can I talk with you alone please?" Said Spade putting his hat on the hatrack next to the door.
Nicole frowned still worried about Anais and thought 'But I wanted to see Anais' but and Anais saw the frown and said
"Its ok mom I'll make it."
She forced herself to look up and give a painful smile to her Mom.
"Ok we can talk in the kitchen." Nicole said leading Spade to the kitchen
Darwin and Gumball watched them walk to the back of the kitchen before Darwin broke the silence
"What happened in the park" said Darwin slightly angry that Gumball found Anais before him.
"Its not all that impressive just found her in park with the kidnaper." Gumball said smugly
"Did you kill him." Said Darwin referring to the kidnaper his anger building at the fact that Gumball was so calm about what happened.
"No, the detective stopped us before we could." Said Gumball walking to couch
"Whose we." Said Darwin stepping in between Gumball and the couch
"Me and Jamie thats who now get outta my way." Said Gumball camly unconcerned about Darwin.
"Why. didn't. you. kill. him." Darwin Emphasizing every word Darwin himself was mad that Gumball had not only let him live but let the police arrest him so Darwin couldn't do it.
"I told yo-"
"I told him not to so both of you stop fucking fighting." shouted Anais cutting of Gumball she was mad that she had been kidnaped twice and raped and all they did was fight with each other and ignore her problems.
Darwin and Gumball looked shocked at the fact that Anais had cussed which she had never done before.
They were about to say something when Nicole and Spade came back.
"She right, now all of you get a weeks worth of clothing packed up." Said Nicole
"Where are we going?" asked a curious Darwin
"Somewhere I can keep you safe." Said Spade grabbing his hat and opening the door
"I have to pick the Grace family as well as they may be in as much trouble as you."
"I understand please hurry." Nicole said as Spade left the house he simply noded knowing she understood what he told her.
Jamie watched silently a Spade entered the Crown Victoria and started the car.
"Where do you live" Said Spade already knowing the answer but she didn't know that and Spade knew she was better off that way for now at least.
"14. Street road, third house down." Jamie said looking worryingly at the white cat pull out of the driveway and took a left going south.
"A-are you going to arrest me?" Jamie Stuttered who now was worried about going to jail not because prison scared her because she thought if she did Gumball would leave her.
No, and I'll tell you why." Spade Said turning on to the freeway.
"If I had let you kill him I wouldn't have lost any sleep but I would of had to arrest you so I stopped you so I didn't have to bring you and that Watterson boy in." Said Spade driving down the freeway
"The turn is just ahead." Said Jamie who didn't care but was relieved that she and Gumball were safe.
It was about five minutes until they arrived at Jamies house it was just about 12:48PM meaning her sisters were fast asleep but what Jamie and Spade didn't know was that Denise was wide awake.
As Spade and Jamie Approached the door Spades cat Senses told him not to go inside he trusted them enough to know to be careful. Meanwhile Jamie pulled out her house keys and unlocked the door.
"Jamie were the hell have you..." Denise yelled before she watched Spade enter the house
An awkward silence fell upon the three until Denice spook up
"You what are you doing here." Denise said in almost annoyed voice and as Jamie looked in her mothers eyes she saw three emotions
anger, which isn't surprising self-loathing, but the most surprising was relief but it seemed to be more than that almost like...
longing.
Jamie was stunned by her conclusion but snapped back into reality by Spades response
"Oh thanks for asking how the last 4 years of my life have been how 'bout sweet cheeks." Spade said angrily.
Jamie look in disbelief no man ever said those things to denise and lived to tell the tail but her mom just sighed like she was used to it.
"Spade why are you here." Said Denise
"I don't only found Jamie and the Watterson boy in the park about to kill one Leo's goons." he said Sarcastically.
"How do you know it was Leo." Denise said looking shaken
"Because he has the tatts of 351st hon'."
"If my day couldn't get any worse." Denice muttered under her breath.
She then looked up at Spade and asked "Well what do you want me to do if he has the gang backing him theres no way I can stop him."
"Well you could stay here and wait for him to come kill you and take the kids or you could come with me and as soon he's in jail or otherwise you could come back like nothing ever happened." Spade said.
"Like last time." Denice said not buying his nice act.
Spade didn't hesitate to get in her face and say "You know damn well last time was your fault I did everything I could to throw that asshole in jail but you decided to run like always and tak-"
"Stop it!" Jamie screamed on the top of her lungs.
"Who are you what do you mean last time!" she said pointing at spade.
Spade smirked like she had just given him the ammunition he needed. "Well Denice what do we mean by last time because you obviously haven't told her."
Denice was about to say something back but she was stopped by Princess small voice.
"Mommy whos that." She asked while rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
The adults seemed to soften up at the sight of the four year old.
"He's a um."
"A detective." Spade offered
"Yes he's a detective he um found Jamie in the park."
"Well I be on my way then have a go-" sade said grabbing his hat and coat but was stopped when Denice grabbed his arm and said with a stern look on her face
"Spade We'll go but you have to promise that once this is all over that you stay out of our business from now on."
Spade looked directly at Princess when he answered.
"I already do that hon' me catching Jamie was a fluke so I promise."
But when he said promise Jamie detected a little hurt in his voice.
"I better get the Wattersons because like it or not Leo's after them too."
Alright just…just ..be back quick please and uh be safe."
Spade nodded and left to retrieve the Wattersons.
Meanwhile at the Wattersons house.
Richard was asleep upstairs next the phone where he was since he called Gumball.
Nicole sighed when she saw her husband sleeping she wanted to be mad at him but she couldn't bring herself to she loved him to much to hate him.
'He is cute when he's asleep.' She thought.
"Honey get up." She said softly shaking him awake.
"Huh Nicole what's wrong." he said rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"Nothing get packed were leaving to go somewhere safe ok." she said with a loving smile.
*yawn*"Ok dear." He said trudging off to pack for him and Nicole.
