A/N: So, I humbly bring you precious beings another chapter. Don't hate me, please, it's bad enough that Kaname and Zero do.
Speaking of our dear boys, let me fill you in a bit. Yes, they are now bonded. It's part of Kaname's whole 'break Zero' shiz. Because neither of them have taken any action to adjust or suppress the strength of their bond, they can read each other's thoughts. Obviously, because of the different schedules, plus the mutual dislike, this is an inconvenience.
Review Replies:
Guest 1- Kaname bound Zero to make him suffer, by knowing that even his mind depends on Kaname. Um, no M-preg. Sorry. :) But, at the moment, Zero is neither his slave nor his lover. At the moment.
Guest 2- Kaname is a sadist and he gets off on Zero's pain. ;3 However, I think even my Sadist Kana-Senpai views Yuki in too much of an innocent light to dream of doing those things to her. Zero, though,... Well, we'll see. And don't worry about Zero, he does that kind of stuff to me too. He won't really hurt you... Much.
Guest 3- Here you go! Keep Reading!

On with the story.
"What the hell did you do to me?!"
The hunter was panting in anger, teeth gritted in frustration. It was obvious that he was going to shoot Kaname if he didn't get some answers. This made the pureblood want to groan in frustration.
"Kiryu, it's highly impolite to wake someone in such a brutal manner. Twice," Kaname admonished.
Zero growled in reply. "Then tell me what the fuck happened! Why the hell are you in my head?! If it's a joke, it isn't funny! Cut it out, or I'll do it for you!"
Silently admitting defeat to himself, Kaname sat up, letting the sheets pool around his waist. He looked the silverette dead in the eyes. "It is not something I can simply 'cut out' as you put it. This problem with the both of us is known as a blood bond." The pureblood glanced up at the gaping hunter. "Now," he continued, " before you interrupt, allow me to explain. A blood bond is created when blood drinking is performed mutually between more than one individual. It causes a link to form, one that is soul deep. In short, our lives and sanity are now tied together. And you cannot break a blood bond."
Shock and rage warred on Zero's face very openly. It was almost as if his heart couldn't decide whether to stay alive so he could kill the pureblood, or to stop beating so the hunter could get out of this situation. Finally, embarrassment won out. His entire face flushed scarlet. "What the flying fuck?! Kuran, you better be joking about this!"
Kaname resisted the urge to laugh. "I'm doing no such thing, Kiryu. I wish you would lower your voice and stop using foul language. I'm fairly sure fucks don't fly, so to speak. Why is believing in a simple blood bond difficult for you?" A single brow was to arched in amusement as the tired dorm President watched the prefect turn even more red.
Soon, however a gun was jammed into the brunette's head. "Fix this," came a low growl. "Fix it now, Kuran, or I will blow your brains all over those silk sheets. I'm serious. Fix. This. NOW!"
Each word was punctuated by the gun pushing against his head a bit harder. If the pureblood hadn't been so amused by the hunters antics, he might have taken offense to the threat.
"Didn't I tell you already? There is no breaking a bond once it is formed. Besides, I actually did you a favor. You should be thanking me."
This made Zero snarl. "And what favor would that be? Why should I thank you for binding me against my will? Stupid leech."
Kaname let Zero vent a bit before grabbing Bloody Rose and ripping it away from the hunter. He threw it across the room and looked after the gun as though it was a poisonous snake. "Zero," he hissed, irritation growing. "I believe we've been through this scenario before. You threaten me, I take your gun, bad things happen. Now, if I recall correctly, Einstein stated, 'madness is repeating the same action multiple times and expecting different results.' If that's the case, you are quite insane."
Zero was livid. "That's the second time you've ripped my holster! Do you realize how long it takes to sew leather?!"
The pureblood couldn't resist a low laugh at that statement. "Kiryu... You can sew?" He barely managed to rein in his mirth. It was unimaginable that such a rough brute could be capable of doing something so delicate.
Face putting strawberries to shame, the younger male was beyond embarrassed. "Yes, and if you don't shut up, I'll sew your damn lips closed!"
The Dorm President managed to sober up slightly. "Do you want me to answer your question or not?"
Zero's face returned to a normal color and he answered with a simple glare and nod, before leaning against the bed post to listen.
"Well, this bond is the only thing that can save you at this point, Kiryu. Even drinking my blood on a regular basis can only buy you a few decades." Kaname paused, looking into the hunter's unchanging face. "With this blood bond, our minds and sanity are directly linked. Because of this, I can ease your mind away from madness and help it adjust fully to your now vampiric nature. This process will take a while but, through it, you can eventually be free from even the shadow of Level E status."
Zero contemplated the new knowledge for a moment before asking, in a quiet voice, "So ...After I'm safe, will you sever it?"
Kaname shook his head. "No. That would plunge you directly into insanity."
The prefect's eyes darkened and his frown deepened. "So I'm stuck with your self-righteous ass for eternity? No thanks. I'd rather die."
The prince almost smirked at the expected reaction. "I'm sorry, but I cannot allow that. You see, for some unfathomable reason, Yuki wants you around. She would grieve if you died, and I will not see her suffer. So as much as it pains me to keep such a pest around, I must do so. You see my point, do you not?"
Zero snarled and turned to leave, snatching up his gun and walking towards the door. "Shut up, Kuran."
Kaname smiled, deciding to tease the hunter once more before he left. " Well, it might not be so bad, I suppose. After all, that blush of yours is fairly cute, Zero," he purred, watching said color rise in the boy's high cheekbones once more.
"Pervert!"
The scream was quickly followed by a slamming door and fleeing footsteps. Kaname erupted into soft laughter, falling back onto his soft mattress and closing his eyes. Later, when he was awake, he'd brush off the comment as a result of his weariness. Still, he could not fully deny the truth of the statement that still rung in his mind.
Zero rushed to his dorm room, head down and mind whirring. "What the hell was that all about? Stupid leech," he muttered. But even with all of his anger, he couldn't make the red fade from his cheeks.
Thankfully, he made it to his room without running in to anyone. It would have been terrible for his reputation if anyone saw him with less than a glare. Besides, he had very important things to take care of.
The teenager knew he would kill himself if he was stuck with Kuran in his head for the rest of their lives. It was an issue that had to be resolved immediately. So, for his sanity' sake, the hunter dug up anything he could find concerning blood bonds. Ignoring everything and everyone, including Yuki, Zero threw himself into his research. If he couldn't break one, he needed to at least muffle it.
When he finally found all that he needed, it was well past time for patrol. 'Yuki will be fine on her own, he thought. Dragging himself over to his bed, he collapsed into a much needed rest.
Zero woke, panicked. His heart wouldn't stop racing and he was soaked in cold sweat. The same nightmares that had plagued him for years now ran through his mind, fresh and new, as if they had never faded. Blood and snow mixed in a sickeningly beautiful display of gore and murder. His parents, fallen side by side, hands clasped even in death. His younger brother, his twin, his mirror image, smiling softly at the scene, eyes alight with a twisted type of joy.
It took a few moments, but the teen managed to calm down. However, remembering it was only a dream did not help. That had been his reality, and he was incapable of doing anything to change it. Their faces haunted his mind, even now.
Despite himself, Zero began to cry.
A soft remorseful presence entered his mind. "I'm sorry for your loss..." It murmured.
Zero didn't even bother to feel surprised. "Get out of my head, Kuran. You can look at anything else, invade any other space, but do not even think of looking at those. Just stay away from that part of me. It has nothing to do with you. I will kill you if I feel you there again." His voice was weary and broken, but honest and menacing. It struck a chord in the pureblood.
Kaname withdrew his presence at the soft words. "I truly am sorry," he sent, before focusing on his class once more. "Get some sleep," he told the boy, as an afterthought. It was three in the morning, and nightmares like that could be very taxing. Kaname knew that from experience.
Immediately after he felt the older teen withdraw from their connection, Zero stood and walked over to his desk, where the notes from the night before lay. He performed the easiest rituals to seal the bond from his end, so that Kaname could not access his thoughts without a struggle, and so he could no longer hear the pureblood in his mind. Only after that was done could the boy rest easy.
