Disclaimer: I don't own Winx Club.
The Universe has a bizarre sense of humor. I complain about real life getting in the way of my writing, and suddenly real life settles down. I'm not going to question it. I don't want it to stop.
Pierce, I imagine most authors' characters have very good reason to hate them. After all, we're responsible for every single hardship, every tragedy, and every disaster that comes their way. I'd be angry too.
Miko, only two people have been through Univix twice: Allanya and Eclipsis. Both of them are extremely powerful, even if we've never really seen Allanya do much of anything. The odds of me actually letting the Classix do that are about zero. It's already hard enough coming up with things dangerous enough to be more than a nuisance to them, and if they were any more powerful I probably wouldn't be able to use them.
Let's get going. Luminé is getting impatient.
Nyssa took a deep breath, then launched into an explanation of herself, the earrings, and the events leading up to the Classix defeating her as Sasha. Meanwhile, Amelia was starting to stir.
"Wha' hap'n?" She asked dazedly. Reyva gently placed her on the ground as she came to. She slowly stood up, shaking her head to clear it.
"You broke the seal, Kobet restored the portal, and we went back to his house." Artis said.
"Then why are we in what looks like a war zone?"
"Someone tore the place apart while we were out." Dhalia said. "Amelia, I know you're tired, but we need to know if it was Eclipsis."
"Right." Amelia closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again. "It was her alright. I can feel traces of her magic all over the place."
"That's what I thought. Perdi, stay with Amelia. Reyva, Artis, and I will help Kobet." The wizard was busy sifting through the wreckage, looking for any sign of the Wizards of the Black Circle.
"Alright. We'll let you know if trouble comes."
"Good." Dhalia went to join Kobet in his search, Artis and Reyva trailing her.
"So," Perdi said as the two girls sat down, "did you know magic flows from each realm to the next?"
"Of course." Perdi stared at her in disbelief. "You didn't?"
"No, how did you know?"
"I'm the Fairy of Magic. Why wouldn't I know?"
"Um..."
"I mean, I can see it myself if try hard enough."
"Oh. Well, apparently that mountain is where Altivix collects magic."
"Perdi, I already know this. I'm the Fairy of Magic."
Perdi stared at Amelia again, mildly frustrated. She'd thought her friend would be interested in learning something knew. It was kind of disappointing to find out she already knew it.
"Is there anything you don't know about magic?"
"Not really. I don't always understand how it works or why, but I do know what it does."
"Ah."
"We can talk about this later." Amelia said, rising to her feet. "Right now, I think we're in trouble."
Luminé was advancing on the girls with a truly furious look on her face. She stalked up to Amelia and quite literally picked the girl up by the front of her shirt. Amelia would have been impressed if she hadn't been terrified. "You! You brought the worst monster in existence to my home, and you didn't even have the decency to tell me! You've endangered everyone in Altivix! And not just that, but you brought my worst enemy into my city right under my nose!" Enraged, she threw Amelia to the ground. "Tell me why I shouldn't have you imprisoned, or maybe even executed for this!"
Picking herself up off the ground, Amelia turned to face Luminé. "Because if you do the Magic Dimension pays the price."
"...I really wish you hadn't said something logical like that." She seemed to deflate, her anger leaving her. "I must return to Melivon to protect my people. You are free to continue your mission, but know this. You are no longer welcome in my city. You will stay away from me and mine, you will leave this realm, and you will take Eclipsis with you. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes."
"Good."
"Lady Luminé, we found them!" Kobet said. "They didn't make it." Three men dressed in black lay on the ground, not breathing. Shards of wood had impaled them, the fires had burned them, and their bodies had been broken by magic.
"We will take them back to the city to be buried." She turned to Classix. "You are not coming. Begone, before I lose what little patience I have left."
Without a word, the Classix fled.
"That could have gone better." Reyva said. The six fairies were clustered in a cave in a forest. A waterfall fell past the cave, shielding it from sight. Outside, the sun drifted towards the horizon.
"Yes, yes it could have." Dhalia said. "We should have told her why we were here. Maybe she would have helped us. We could definitely use some help right about now."
"We have to find Eclipsis." Amelia said. "Otherwise none of this matters."
"And then what?" Reyva demanded. "In case you've forgotten, the last time we tangled with her she wiped the floor with us! We only managed to beat her because she was weak from breaking the final seal!"
"I know."
"Then what makes you think we stand a chance against her now?"
"We've gotten stronger since then. Artis is a lot stronger, and now we have Nyssa." Amelia pointed to the sleeping girl. Being awake all night had finally caught up with her. The minute they'd found the cave, she'd gone to sleep.
"Do you think that will be enough?" Artis asked. "I know Nyssa's powerful, but is she really enough to tip the scales?"
"...I don't know. All I know is that we have to try. Everyone is counting on us."
A/N: This one's also fairly short, but writing Angry Luminé took a lot out of me. She was monumentally ticked off with the girls, and writing for a character that angry takes some serious effort.
They're on their own again, and now it's just the six girls against their old enemy. Now they just have to find her.
