"You know Grace"
"He doesn't deserve you, someone as small and fragile like you need someone strong to protect you"
"And that idiot is far from being capable of protecting you"
"After all, your still with me aren't you?"
"He hasn't been able to get you back"
"Weren't you supposed to be his girlfriend?"
"And yet he has doneto contact you"
Grace hugged her knees tightly against her chest as she cried "P-lease stop it Julien" she sobbed.
Julien inwardly smirked, but made sure to keep a serene face as he sat down next to her on the sofa. He gently moved her to his lap ignoring her struggling and wrapped his arm around her waist with measured strength. Grace tried to grab at the armrest of the sofa, but Julien's grip on her limited her movements.
Next morning
Grace dug her face deep into the pillow trying to recover some of the sleep that she had failed to get thanks to Julien. Her face contorted in pain as she thought about her 'boyfriend'. She hadn't seen Moose for so long now, she had tried countless of times to contact them, but she was always stopped by either Julien or one of his crew members. Were they still together? Was he looking for her?
Her last attempt to look for him had led her directly to a beyond furious Julien, who then punished her by locking her in his room for two days now.
Grace twisted around underneath the bed sheets, but her body was suddenly pulled to the center of the bed by a pair of two strong arms that wrapped themselves around her delicate body. "Stop moving around Grace" the owner of the arms mumble against her nape. She had always dreamed of waking up to something like that, snuggled in the warm bed with the arms of her beloved around her.
But sadly, Julien was nowhere near being her beloved, he had just forced her to share a bed with him.
"Did you give them back the vault?"
A deep sigh dripping with irritation escaped from the males lips. "You just had to ruin this perfect morning didn't you love?" he drawled before turning her around so she was facing him. He stretched his arm behind him reaching for his cellphone at the night table. "7:42 am, I guess I can call the bank right now"
A sudden feeling of relief spread through Grace's body as she listened to Julien ordering- rudely might she add- some unfortunate bank worker to start arranging the papers to a contract. This legal transaction officially left the Vault on the hands of her brother, and it would once again be owned by the Pirates.
"Are you done? Cause I don't have all the time of the day" Julien sneered at the banker. Grace couldn't hear the man's reaction, but she knew that he would either be really irritated, or intimidated. She gently grasped the wrist of the arm with which Julien was holding the phone against his ear trying to catch his attention. Grace parted her lips slightly whispering to him.
"Don't be rude Juli-"But before she could finish, she was silenced by Julien's hand covering her mouth hastily. "Ok then, that's all I need" he quickly added before hanging up and throwing the electronic device back to where it was previously.
Julien firmly grabbed Grace's chin and with a simple flick of his wrist, he had her face right in front of his, with their noses barely gracing each other.
"Don't you dare do that again" his eyes pierced right through hers with underlined rage "Don't interrupt me and more importantly-"
"Don't tell me what to do"
Grace briskly pulled herself free from his grip and carelessly got out of the bed. She rubbed her incoming tears away before she ran from the room ignoring Julien's calls. She hurried inside the bathroom and locked herself in.
While gazing through the mirror, Grace noticed that her face looked pale and that slightly dark rings were starting to form around her eyes. These last days were starting to take a toll on her.
Grace cleaned herself before sneakily fishing clean clothes from the drier machine and running back to the bathroom before Julien catched her. She wanted to breathe and be free from him for even a couple of minutes, and if her newly formed plan of escape didn't work, then she would be doomed forever. She even promised to herself that if she did manage to get out of the house, she'd come back after a few hours.
So after an hour being locked inside the bathroom, Grace was now wearing a simple dark blue summer dress and a pair of sandals. She hesitantly opened the door and peaked outside, noticing the absolute silence that consumed the place. "Did he leave?" Grace murmured to herself. She slowly walked through the hallway and silently went down the stairs. The house looked to be empty except for her.
Grace ran to the kitchen. She knew that the main door would be locked, so if she went out through it, she wouldn't be able to close it because she didn't have the key. She didn't want someone getting in and robbing the house. She also knew that the window by the kitchen was big enough for her to fit in, and it led right to the backyard which had no fence that obstructed her from getting to the front street.
So with her plan in motion, Grace packed only her cellphone and some saved money before slipping out of the window and closing it as silently as possible. The house may seem empty, but she had to be careful just in case she wasn't right.
And just like that, Grace realized she must be really dumb to be caught in her previous attempts of escapes. But then again, she was scared of what would happen to her if she managed to get away just to be found by Julien; she knew he would give her a severe punishment, which was the reason why she had to return to the house after a couple of hours of freedom. She knew he would be beyond furious at her for leaving the house, but maybe he would lighten up even a slightest bit for the fact that she came back.
Grace had left the house at 9 am, and in the laps of five hours, she found herself in front of an amusement park. "It's been so long since I've been here" she murmured. She remembered that the last time she had walked into a place like that was when her parents were still alive. Once the Pirates were founded by her and her brother, she had dedicated herself on helping around the Vault and had never taught about coming back to this side of the city.
"I just wish I didn't come back here under these circumstances" Grace walked around, watching the children laughing and running around, hoping into rides and sharing cotton candy. It made her feel quite lonely. But it didn't stop her from buying some of that pink cotton goodness for herself. She kept on walking around, enjoying her brief freedom.
Until she bumped into someone. Grace gripped the cotton candy's cone as she stared right straight to the eyes of Jacob.
"JACOB!" Not a second after, she found herself hugging her longtime friend and also the second-in-command Pirate. "Grace?!" his accent came out strong as surprise overcame him. "We have been looking for you all over the place!"
"What are you doing here?" she asked him.
"The Pirates have been practicing in the storage room of one of the buildings here at the amusement park" Jacob explained.
Grace then remembered what had happened that same morning. "Wait! I got the Vault back for you guys! Julien finally made the papers so it would be transferred under Luke's name!" Jacob stood there, paralyzed at what he had just heard. "That's what you've been doing during all this time you've been gone? How did you get to convince him into giving it back?" Grace's smile disappeared instantly. "It was a deal actually" she whispered.
"A deal you say?" Jacob stepped away from her in confusion. "What did it consist of?"
"I had to leave the Pirates and go live with him at his house in exchange of the Vault" Grace fiddled with the hem of her dress in shame. "It was the only way I could help the Pirates" she murmured.
Jacob sighed and looked at her with disappointment. "I know you wanted to help everyone Grace"
"But didn't you think we care about you more than we care about a building?" Grace's eyes widened at his rhetorical question. "And what about Moose? Aren't you two together?" her heart twisted in pain as she remembered the boy she had she had started to fall in love with. "You know what? Why don't we just go see your brother? He has missed you the most" Jacob recommended before guiding her through the amusement park, straight to the place where she knew, she would have to face her brother, and also the curly haired boy. Both of whom would surely demand an explanation of her disappearance.

How hard can writing a chapter be? Well then F*** THIS WORLD! Because it is as hard as explaining my dad how to use facebook for the first time [he forgets every single instruction that I give him, and then days later, he makes the same question again].
So yeah. This is the chapter! I hope you enjoy it! If you do not enjoy it, then I apologize, I've been lacking inspiration lately.
