Chapter 15: Rescue Plan
Sorry about the long break in between this fic! I'll try to update this story as often as possible as well… Maybe I really am managing too many stories at once.
Nerd Club Purple Coin: Err… Thanks? Is this a fanfiction rating club of some sorts?
Alpha: Teeheehee! There are always things that seem dangerous on The Mole, but it is always 100 percent safe! Bird Resort… I guess I could be quite weird with my ideas sometimes in my stories, just like this one… ^^'
FFWS: So you suspect Paratroopa the most now…? Did you find a clue pointing to him or something? I'm a bit curious, you know… ^^'
Omega:
Chapter 13 review: I think the idea of a second challenge with the costumes does sound quite nice! It is certainly a nice suggestion to use for future seasons or stories! :D
Chapter 14 review: I'm always in for OCs! I can accept it, there are so many OC fics with me, or maybe I could just put them as a major character in other types of fics such as this one. ;)
Toady:
Chapter 13 review: Birdo isn't the most suspicious around, so I guess so… ^^' So I take it that you think the Mole this time around is a more obvious, but still subtle?
Chapter 14 review: The clue (?) is quite good! However it points at multiple contestants at once… But is it actually a clue I put in? I guess it is pretty hard to find out until the finale! :D
Anonymous: I have read about many, many failures in challenges such as this one, I guess it is pretty easy to think that it will fail epically. But you can never be sure in a new season with the almost same challenge. ;)

Monty continued on with the mission. "You are actually not allowed to go onto the panel to rescue him, you have to ask Junior himself to come over to the edge, which he cannot proceed any further onto the ground in front of him. He could stay on the panel the entire time if he wishes to, however."
Rosalina: It seems very curious to me, that Junior, being on a death panel, has a choice to come off the panel or stay on it for a long time. Might there be a second side to this challenge with Junior?
"You will separate into 3 groups according to the dishes you ordered last night." Monty continued, "Daisy and Rosalina, you two have to travel on a helicopter, inside there will be a key and a telephone that you have to find sometime during the trip. You can call Junior but no one else with that certain phone that you find and the key will unlock the chain in his legs, but it might be suggested to unlock his mouth and arms first to allow him to speak."
"Oh my gosh…" Rosalina gasped in surprise as she learnt the details of her part of the mission.
Monty wasn't bothered by her comment as he went on, "Toadiko and Boo, you two will be travelling on a van to the place, you will also be provided with a phone and a key hidden on there, also, the key that you have will unlock his mouth. In order for you to get there without too much troubles, you will also be provided with a map hidden somewhere on the van marked with the position of where Junior has been held at."
Toadiko sighed without a word.
"Finally, Boomerang and Paratroopa, you two will be on the boat. Same goes for you with the key and the phone, but your key will unlock his arms. You might want to get there fast as well to guide the helicopter team to their destination because you will be provided with a GPS that will start as soon as the van team arrive and unlocks Junior's mouth. In order for you to win, Junior must have no more restraints on him in any way, he is also the only one allowed to speak on the phone but he could see the GPS and map if he wishes to. If he goes onto the ground with any of the three restraints on him, you will fail, and if the phone and detect anyone else than Junior's voice on Junior's side, you will be penalized. Are you ready? All the three vehicles are parked outside waiting for you. Also, this mission costs 20000 coins." Monty finished off with the explanation and all of the players dashed out.
Boomerang: In my opinion, in order to get Junior out alive and win the challenge is to arrive in an order and if anyone doesn't arrive, we will fail. Junior doesn't have any idea where he is held at and Paratroopa and I should arrive second out of the three teams. Toadiko and Boo must arrive in order for us to have a nice sense of direction first.
Junior watched in fear as he struggled to speak, but only gagged noises could come out of his mouth. The panel had slowly moved back, making less room for him each second, but not by much. He knew the challenge has begun as he backed off to the corner of the board.
Junior: I should first decide the fact that am I going to cooperate or not in this mission. I mean, I have an exemption offered to me, if I just lose this mission for us, then I guess I could go to the next episode without too much trouble…
Rosalina and Daisy boarded the helicopter through the door with the Mole thumbprint.
Daisy: I'm totally pumped to do this mission! To me, every single mission is a new start to our team pot, and every win is an achievement. Come on, people, we are heading out!
"Do you know how to control a helicopter?" Daisy asked her partner for the mission.
The space princess shook her head slowly, "Right, then I'll control the helicopter while you try and find the phone and the key."
Daisy started the helicopter as Rosalina took a seat first.
Daisy: I told Rosie to try and find the key and the phone, but she didn't even move an inch until we are very high in the sky. Does she have a second motive in her action?
Rosalina: It wouldn't be a wise move to walk around a helicopter while it is just flying up, besides, I'm not good with wobbly things.
The sun was blazing on the no-cover boat, Paratroopa decided to drive the boat and Boomerang was trying to find the items.
Paratroopa: Why can't I be in the helicopter team? This is madness, I'm a helicopter pilot, people! I'm literally losing my job right now. But I guess a boat is fine.
"I think I found something." Boomerang told Paratroopa, who turned around as Boomerang held up the phone. "Isn't this the phone?" Paratroopa nodded at the item in question.
Boomerang checked the phone, the phone's name is Fish & Chips and the only contact in there is the Piranha Salad.
Boomerang: I think that the names of the dishes are the groups we are in, clearly like Monty said, we are only allowed to call Junior, but I guess that he cannot talk without him yet because the challenge barely started and I highly doubt if Toadiko and Boo had already arrived.
Boo was driving the van as Toadiko looked at the map she found a few minutes ago. "Where should we go?" He asked.
"Um…" Toadiko stared hard at the map, "I think… Turn left?" She then stared at the map harder, "No, wait, turn right, no, left?"
Boo: Toadiko performed very well during the baggage challenge in the first episode, maybe she is just not good with a map? That would be quite ridiculous.
Boo decided to turn left as Toadiko screamed. "What now?" Boo asked in confusion as he covered his ears.
"I think we turned the wrong way." Toadiko said, "Um, turn right and maybe we will get back on track."
Boo made a right turn, "Are you sure that this is it?"
"Left?" Toadiko asked, uncertain as Boo took another turn according to her directions.
"Just let me see the map," Boo parked the car somewhere on the street.
Toadiko: I'm not the best with a map, besides, there are no road names on the map. I just know that I must be making things worse for the team.
Boo sighed, "We were supposed to go straight on the first turning."
Toadiko gasped, "Really? I'm so sorry!" She apologized.
"Err… Maybe we could try to find where we are right now?" Boo wondered, "I forgot did I make a left or right turn just then, or the few turns before."
Boo: Ugh, we are lost. Toadiko guided me left and right, and I don't even know which way I turned! Maybe she was just trying to confuse me. For the first time in the game, I thought that maybe a coalition that you make in the first episode might be with the Mole. I now have doubts with Toadiko.
Rosalina picked up the phone inside the helicopter. "Should I try to call Junior?"
"Maybe you should? I donno." Daisy replied.
Rosalina calmly selected the only number inside the contacts.
Daisy: Rosie is doing everything here really slow, I think she is up to something. I would like to know what and why, but I'm pretty sure that her motive is not beneficial to the team.
"No response." Rosalina sighed, "No one is holding up the phone for him, I mean, he is locked up and restricted, right?"
Daisy also sighed, "Maybe you should go to a window and see if there are anything that looks like a piranha plant?"
"Nice suggestion." Rosalina smiled before turning to the window, she gasps seconds later. "Look, Daisy, is that…?"
Rosalina: I am pretty certain I saw some red and white spots moving in the distance, not far away from us. But I'm not all that certain… Where are my glasses when I need them?
Boomerang found the GPS and the keys a few minutes ago. "Para, stop going so fast, I'm getting nauseous."
"Oh, please don't throw up." Paratroopa sighed, "Is the GPS on yet?"
Boomerang shook his head. "Not a sign."
Paratroopa: We must've been out here, driving the boat aimlessly around the place for no reason. Actually, the reason is that our GPS is not on yet. 30 minutes has got to passed, what are Toadiko and Boo doing?
Boomerang continued to search around the boat. "What are you doing now?" Paratroopa asked, confused.
"I'm trying to find if there is sunscreen lying around here, I must be getting sunburnt." Boomerang replied.
Boomerang: Out of all three vehicles available, I am stuck at the only one without shelter to shield me from the sun. I know sunburn will not help me any bit, could the producers be this cruel to us, not even giving us simple things for this weather at Dry Dry Desert like sunscreen?
"Gee, thanks Rosie." Daisy sighed.
Rosalina rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "Sorry, I don't have good eyesight, you know."
Daisy: Apparently Rosie led me to a sign with a large mushroom pattern on it. How did she mix that up? I have serious doubts with this space princess right now, she should've noticed at least somewhat, instead she had no suspicions.
Daisy tried to start the engine, but it didn't start. "Huh? This thing isn't taking off."
"What? Let me try." Rosalina offered as she tried to start the engine, which started perfectly. "Now, I would like to know what is going on here."
Daisy looked very confused, "Huh? It wasn't starting a second ago…"
Rosalina: Daisy… Overall, she is trying to sabotage, I think? I know the fact that she is very obvious, however I couldn't help but to suspect a little. It's practically impossible for someone else to sabotage the engine besides her and me, one plus one equals two, right?
Daisy: Apparently, the engine stuffed up and Rosie managed to fix it somehow. There is one thing that I suspected, she said before that she had no idea how to control a helicopter, but then, she started the engine like a pro! I then know the fact that she knows at least a bit about this, since there are over 20 buttons that you could press!
Toadiko and Boo are lost, that's the way to mention it, if you are optimistic. If you think of the worst, then they are probably on the other side of Mushroom Kingdom right now.
Boo: Toadiko told me to drive around and see if any of the streets looked like things on the map. We've been going for a long time and she concluded with that she doesn't recognize anything here. Well, I guess I'm also to blame for not going against her in the suggestion.
"Um, I think we are outside of the map's range." Toadiko told Boo, who stopped the car a little while ago.
Boo's eyes widened, "Serious? This map covers at least 50 kilometers!"
Toadiko: I now know the situation is very tight, for gods' sake, we are outside of the range. This is serious, even worse, we don't know when will we get back or which way, or where the heck are we from the hotel we came from anyways.
"Should we go the way back?" Toadiko wondered.
Boo rolled his eyes, "Do you know which way we came?" Toadiko shook her head. "Exactly, there's your answer."
Toadiko sighed for the umpteenth time since they got lost. "This is horrible, we might need rescuers."
Boo: Apparently, we are lost, it's not a good thing, I hope that the other two teams manages to get there before we do, at least then Junior can provide clues for us.
Paratroopa pointed at a figure in the distance. "Boomerang, look at that…"
Paratroopa: There is a cliff, and a suspicious thing is down there with a figure on top, that's Junior, isn't it? Our GPS never activated, hinting that we got there before the van team? I guess this is all dumb luck.
Boomerang nodded as both of them hopped off the boat. "Let's go! I think we are the first team to arrive!
Boomerang: I guess this is what you call dumb luck, huh. Boo and Toadiko definitely haven't arrived yet, since our GPS never turned on and came into any use.
"Ugh, please tell me that this will not go out of fuel." Daisy complained.
Daisy: I've noticed how the helicopter will get harder and harder to control the more buttons I press. I suspect that it is running out of fuel. Clearly, we have to get there, but we can't without any fuel left since that would get us nowhere.
Rosalina held up the phone, "Should I call now?" Daisy nodded.
"*%#$ &* #&$#!" Junior spoke on the other side.
Rosalina raised an eyebrow. "Junior, can you hear me?"
"*^&#* ^#*&#^?" Junior tried to say something.
Rosalina decided to hang up. "Well, Junior answered, that means his arms are free, but since his sounds are weird, maybe either the van team didn't arrive or the signal isn't great."
"Sounds like a bad signal to me, hang on to something, I'm gonna land at that grass patch over there so you could try again." Daisy pulled a lever.
Boomerang sighed, "Junior, can you actually do better than that?"
"&# ^$&* *$#!" Junior screamed.
Paratroopa face-palmed, "He can go to the phone, but he can't speak."
Junior: I am trying my best here, honestly! But can't you see? I am gagged, therefore without the so called van team that they were talking about, I cannot speak clearly. Or should I say that everything I speak is gibberish instead.
"Come on, get here." Boomerang said as he looked upwards into the sky. "Hey, if Rosalina and Daisy pass here, won't we be able to see them?"
"Oh yeah, you're right…" Paratroopa gasped in realization. "So that's why they never got a guidance, Junior is actually the guidance, if he can see the helicopter. They're surely around the right place.
Boomerang: I feel like that even though the van team is nowhere to be seen, we still got an idea about the mission itself. Junior's vision in the sky actually does serve as their live GPS, he could guide them right here if they are in his vision, therefore making it a lot easier for the entire team.
Junior pointed at something in the sky. "$^&#( !"
"Huh?" Paratroopa looked at the direction he pointed at, "Oh… Isn't that the helicopter? Why did they just rise from the ground?"
"Not to mention they are in a fair bit of distance." Boomerang commented.
"Oh, bother." Toadiko gritted her teeth. "I don't know what the heck is happening here now."
"Wait, are we even in the map's range?" Boo asked, clearly not getting anywhere and is still driving.
Toadiko: From what I could see, we are not getting a bit of work done. Heck, I can't even find where we are!
Boo sighed, "You know what, you drive. I feel like that we are going in circles, literally."
Toadiko and Boo switched places as Boo face-palmed as soon as he saw the map. "You are kidding me! We are literally 2 minutes away from the hotel we started at!"
"Huh?" Toadiko stared out the window, "Oh… That building looks like the hotel…"
"What are you waiting for? Get going! We are almost out of time!" Boo gritted his teeth.
Boo: Somehow Toadiko never noticed the hotel, and I'm pretty sure that she wasn't staring at the map all the time. I stared at it while the van was moving, and instantly I got dizzy, this is a very suspicious act.
Toadiko: You can't blame me for all of it! I mean, let me explain. Even though I did stare out of the window and somehow missed the big words written on the hotel. But you have to suspect Boo as well, he is onto something for sure. I mean, he is going in circles around the hotel and didn't even notice, however when we switched places, he noticed all of a sudden!
"Ugh, it's not that then…" Daisy sighed as they were high in the sky again.
Rosalina put a hand to her face. "We are kind of getting to nowhere. Maybe we should head that way." She pointed at the opposite side to the cliff.
"Well, I guess that's only fair." Daisy nodded as she controlled the helicopter.
Rosalina: Well, I guess we are getting nowhere, why not fly around and see if there is anything that resembles something around Junior.
"Hey! They are going the opposite way!" Paratroopa pointed at the helicopter.
Boomerang grabbed the phone. "Quick! Junior, call them!"
"Hello? Is this Junior?"Rosalina asked from the other side.
"^&$*# !%$#*&!" Junior tried to say.
The opposite party hung up.
Junior: I know that I always sounded silly, but… It's really hard for me to make a simple sound of a vowel or something.
Rosalina sighed. "Clearly, this is not working."
"So, do you want to continue on?" Daisy asked, Rosalina only nodded in reply.
Daisy: I have a feeling that we are going the wrong way, but Rosie insisted about going this way. So I decided is better to follow a smarter person than me. Although I might not be the smartest around, I will be the best around finding the Mole.
Rosalina pointed at something back at the cliff's direction. "Wait, don't you think that is actually the cliff they are talking about?"
"Well, you told me to go this way, and I did." Daisy remarked, "If you want to turn back, that's quite alright with me."
Rosalina thought for a moment before giving out her answer. "No, keeping going the way we are going."
"Ugh, we are doing just fine just then. I feel like that we were so dumb and now we are so smart." Toadiko rolled her eyes.
Boo sighed as he motioned to go left. "We are doing fine because I'M the one who is controlling the thing. By the way, we are almost there."
As the cliff came into view, Toadiko opened the window. "Hey there! We are here right now!"
"Hey! Look at that!" Paratroopa dragged Boomerang to the edge of the cliff.
"It's them! They are finally here!" Boomerang shouted as Junior turned around. "We can finally talk to Rosalina and Daisy now!"
Junior: Yes! I can finally talk now! I hated talking like an idiot, but I had to for the team, you know? However there is one problem. If I manage to get talking, I could try for the exemption since I could fool the two somewhere else.
Rosalina picked up the phone, expecting gibberish again. "Hello, if this is gibberish, please don't say another think, I shall hang up."
"Wait! Don't hang up yet! The gag is removed from my mouth! We are waiting for you now!" Junior shouted.
Daisy: From what I heard, it's pretty obvious that Junior is waiting for us. I'm just waiting for the instructions to follow them.
"Now, please tell me the direction I should go in." Rosalina smiled as she decided to trust Junior's directions.
Rosalina: Junior would gain nothing but fear if we never arrive, unless he has something to gain from the fall, he will not take the risk. I should follow what he says, it will be the most logical option in this situation.
"Let them turn back." Boo instructed as Junior nodded.
Toadiko: I'm watching Boo instructing Junior to let the plane fly back, I'm pretty sure that there isn't too much time left so they would definitely have to hurry. However at the same time it's easier because Junior can at least mutter proper speech. I heard from Paratroopa that it was a mess before we arrived.
Junior thought for a moment before smiling. "Yes, you are heading the right way now. Go on, don't turn back, I'm only 2 minutes away from you right now." He then looked down, the platform is almost out of space for him to stand onto.
Junior: I'll go for the exemption, it's a chance for myself since I didn't take the last one that was offered to me. If I fall, I'm pretty sure I won't die, right?
"No! That's not right!" Boomerang suddenly shouted as chills ran up Paratroopa, Boo and Toadiko's spines.
Paratroopa: I recall one of the rules being that the phone isn't allowed to have another voice other than Junior's going through his end. Wow, I bet that's penalty.
Paratroopa clamped a hand onto the koopa's beak as he realized what he did. "Do you want to be penalized?" Paratroopa asked as the taller koopa shook his head.
Boo: Perfect, I thought that I might break up the coalition with Toadiko earlier because I kind of no longer trust her, but my current prime suspect is giving all of us a heart attack with his shouting!
Junior then decided to hang up as he tossed the phone onto the platform. "That way, you can't get it."
"Why would you do this?" Toadiko asked, a bit mad at his actions.
"I was offered an exemption." The other four looked at his with sudden interest at his words.
Boomerang: I guess if it was an exemption… Then anyone would've taken it like I did…
Rosalina took the phone away from her ear. "Hey, did I seriously hear… Boomerang's voice?" Daisy asked.
"Yeah, I think so too, that's a penalty… Right?" Rosalina wondered as she stared at the phone.
Rosalina: I am very suspicious about the directions Junior game us. Boomerang suddenly shouted 'no, that's not right' after Junior's instructions. So I guess either that Junior really is lying, or something was wrong.
An audio sounded from the corner, surprising both of the players. "The challenge is over, you have lost."
Daisy: Yeah… I guess that we are kind of out of time… Heck, I don't even know where I'm heading right now, I'm just listening to Rosie! Not my fault, I think.
Junior smirked as he landed safely on an outstretched rock below. "Thanks guys." He laughed before going through the tunnel.
Toadiko: I was a bit mad at Junior, he ruined the entire challenge for us at the last second when we could turn the thing around, but no! He had to ruin it.
Paratroopa: I don't really blame Junior for this. I mean, I would've taken an exemption at this stage. Toadiko and Boo are also at blame. They arrived really late, if only they arrived earlier, Junior will be able to take freely earlier and we might be able to talk him into not taking the exemption.
Monty approached the 7 players seated at the dining table for lunch as they all looked somewhat disappointed at their performance. "Now, as you may already know, Junior was offered an exemption if he actually fell down the cliff. Would you care to explain about it, Junior?"
"Well, I didn't take the one that was available last episode." Junior started.
Daisy cut in with an angry and accusing voice. "But last time you win money by taking it, this time you lose money by taking it!"
"But for me, an exemption is an exemption. I would like to take it." Junior continued on.
Junior: Yes, I am the one at blame for this. So I did prepare for any insults and all that before coming here. I lost the coins for us, so I never wanted to explain myself, instead try to comfort myself, but that doesn't seem to work for me as the guilt never went away.
"Continuing on," Monty stopped Daisy from more angry words. "Rosalina, you had a very interesting guidance for Daisy, who aimlessly drove the boat like a machine, not even thinking twice before doing it."
Rosalina closed her eyes, "I guess I did make some weird decisions. I shall accept any blame."
"I… I thought that Rosie might know her way, but clearly not." Daisy protested.
"Not only that, you two wasted time on going to pointless places and stopping the helicopter several times." Monty continued as Daisy stopping saying things and Rosalina still sat there with her eyes closed. "Moving on, Paratroopa and Boomerang, you two found your way there quite fast without guidance. Even faster than Toadiko and Boo who had a map in their possession and not even following the most logical route, in the end getting themselves lost. Toadiko said a bunch a weird things and constantly changed her mind on which way to go, but Boo forgot which way he came from as well."
"Um, I guess we went off the mark a tiny bit?" Toadiko bit her lips.
Boo only sighed as Monty continued on. "Well, the final thing is, Boomerang, there was evidence that your voice was heard from Junior's side. The rules said that it was not to be done so I would have to penalize the team by removing 5000 coins. Not only the team didn't earn 20000 coins they would, the team lost 5000 coins. Please see me at 2 at the top of Mt. Rugged, we have another challenge coming up soon."
Team Pot:
54000 Coins
Rosalina: Everyone was at least a bit suspicious in that mission, myself included. Our little mistakes or sabotages were added up in a pile, ultimately becoming the removal of 5000 coins.
Boomerang: I never shouted on purpose, I swear! I really just had an instinct of shouting it so that I could try to correct Junior. But the money is gone, all because of me.
Toadiko: I was on the edge of crying for most of the mission and when Monty accused me. I can't take too much pressure, if Boo really thought that I'm not good enough… I'm pretty much screwed without an alliance.
The players walked to Monty, who is at the top of the mountain. A flag planted next to him with a green thumbprint on it. "Welcome players, to your next mission." Monty smiled as he approached the players himself. "Now, this mission is called Coin Treasure, by the name, please select two players, a supervisor and the one that deserves an exemption the most. The one that deserves an exemption the most will be offered an exemption that doesn't remove or add any money into the pot, however will affect the next mission mission-wise, not coin-wise though."
Daisy: The exemption sent a chill of excitement up my spine. Free exemption without anything affecting how much coins we can earn is just what I want. I will not get a suspicious moment if I were to take it, but at the same time.
Paratroopa: I have no idea what does the so called 'mission-wise' for the next mission means. It may mean that the person we elect has a special role for the mission because it didn't add or cost us any coins, or it could mean that the mission would change by a little bit. For now we have to wonder what it going to happen.
"Hey, who do you think deserves an exemption the most? I already used one two episodes ago, so I won't ask for another one." Boomerang broke the ice.
Boomerang: I wanted to play fairly, so that's exactly why I don't want to use another exemption. My greed that time caused the loss of valuable coins and my careless actions last challenge also paid its price. I will not take another exemption, I have to redeem myself.
Junior nodded, "Not me either, I've already got an exemption, I think we should pick Rosalina for this."
"Wait, no." The space princess closed her eyes, "I would prefer if I don't use an exemption, I would like to play my game fair without anything helping me, which is what I have come here for. I would like to test myself, however, if I may, I would like the position as the supervisor."
Rosalina: I came here for experience and I don't really want an exemption. I would want to play to my best and never make an act that would cost the team. However the position as the supervisor does sound quite attractive, I performed poorly during the last mission, and now is the time to redeem myself.
Daisy agreed with Rosalina. "Rosie should be the supervisor, she is very smart, after all. Is everyone alright with that?"
"Yeah, I guess that would be fine to me." Boo agreed.
Toadiko rolled her eyes in thought as she nodded.
Toadiko: We have 7 people here, all eligible for an exemption without any cost of coin if we were elected. Boomerang and Junior gave up on it straight away and Rosalina refused the exemption chance. Now I have a 1 in 4 chance for that exemption.
"Now, who would like the exemption?" Daisy asked suddenly.
Monty checked his watch. "If you can't select in 3 minutes from now, I will penalize the team yet another 5000 coins and the offer will be gone."
"I really, really want the exemption." Toadiko begged as she looked at the other three that haven't given up yet.
Paratroopa glanced around, "Well, I don't really want to give up the chance on an exemption, but… If we will be penalized again, I guess I'll just have to step out for it." With that, he joined the other 3 that didn't want to take the exemption.
"Quick! We don't have much time!" Daisy gritted her teeth.
Boo bit his lips. "We need to make a choice, but all three of us here are very hungry for an exemption."
"Duh, it is gold at this stage!" Toadiko shouted as she panicked.
Boo: We can't reach an agreement about who to give the chance to. Daisy is literally on the edge of killing for the exemption, and Toadiko doesn't want to give up. If neither of us steps out, we will be penalized. I guess it really is time for that old saying, ladies first.
Boo walked out of the group of three, "One of you can take it. I don't want us to be penalized again."
"Right, only 90 seconds remains, you two have to come up with a selection." Monty warned them as he checked his watch.
Toadiko held back her tears as Daisy gritted her teeth even more. "Can't you two decide? Hurry, 5000 coins at stake!" Paratroopa said from the side as he panicked.
"How about this, let's decide with a coin toss." Boomerang said as he took out a coin from his shell.
Daisy looked at Boomerang, then Toadiko. "Yeah, I guess we have to settle this with that if we don't want to be penalized."
"Right, let us do this." Toadiko nodded bravely.
"60 minutes remaining." Monty continued to watch the group.
Boomerang looked at both of them. "Heads or tails?"
"Heads." Toadiko said as she bit her lip.
Daisy rolled her eyes. "Then I'll be left with tails."
Boomerang flicked the coin up and as it went down, he slammed it on the back of his hand. "Ready for the results?" He asked them, not knowing the result himself.
Toadiko nodded, holding back her tears.
Toadiko: This is it, my game might depend on this coin toss. I've already agreed with the idea, now it is way too late to back out of it.
Daisy nodded as she glared sharp at the coin covered by Boomerang's hand.
Daisy: If it is heads, then so be it. I lost it fair and square. But if it is tails, I would like Toadiko to also accept the truth. This is a bet, there will be a winner and a loser, we can't both win.
Boomerang removed his hand on top of the coins, letting everyone see the results as everyone gasped as one of the girls cheered while the other one look down in disappointment.
Woo! Finished with this chapter! There is an exemption at stake, but who will win it? Daisy or Toadiko? Who do you want to win the coin toss (although I've already decided)?
