Chapter 18: New Maze
Alright, now I'm mainly trying my best to finish Tricky Enemy, had it started a long time ago and planned it out a long time ago, but I didn't bring myself to writing it. How about a word from our final 6?
Rosalina Galaxer: Yes, it is quite a pleasure to be in the final 6, I have no other comment but to ask you to finish this faster.
Junior Koopa: I guess it is pretty good to be in the final 6, I expect myself to be eliminated already, but yeah, I guess I am still here, playing the game.
Toadiko Toadlina: Well… I don't exactly what to say, it is very scary every time when my name was entered into that screen… So I'm pretty glad to still be here.
Paratroopa Glides: Wow, I can't believe it's already the episode with the halfway mark! After this one, we only have the half amount of players that we started with.
Boomerang Flitaly: I hope that the producers should update the thing more often, but I guess at least they would finish it. Alright, I'm ready for action!
Daisy Saraoral: Yes! I have made it into the final 6! I would really like to make it into the final 3 though, but I guess if I was eliminated, it is the trust and I have to accept that.
Toady: Sorry, I actually swapped Boo, who was supposed to be the runner-up and the supposed fourth eliminated was swapped with Boo. Same with the winner, 7th executed and the winner, however I swapped them once, then again, so… XD But I am really wondering why you are suspecting Paratroopa as time goes, is there a reason?
Last time on The Mole: Tricky Enemy:
The players were up for a task, which would take them around the place and try to locate Junior.
"Err… Maybe we could try to find where we are right now?" Boo wondered, "I forgot did I make a left or right turn just then, or the few turns before."
Boo: Ugh, we are lost. Toadiko guided me left and right, and I don't even know which way I turned! Maybe she was just trying to confuse me. For the first time in the game, I thought that maybe a coalition that you make in the first episode might be with the Mole. I now have doubts with Toadiko.
Junior ultimately decided to use the could be earned money for an exemption for himself, and in the next challenge, Toadiko also made an offer. However as both players were exempted, a malfunction occurred.
Rosalina stared at the walkie-talkie in her hand. "Hello? Boo? Junior? Anyone there?" Nothing came.
Rosalina: Someone said in a deep voice which I cannot recognize whose it is, to tell Boo not to dig around the slope, right away the walkie-talkies died out of nowhere, what could've happened here?
The final challenge became the first challenge with everything going well as the team added the money into the pot.
However, that night, someone was taken by surprise, after the exempted players faced green screens, the first actual name entered made the screen bleed.

Paratroopa: Boo was my prime suspect, now that he left, I don't even know who to suspect anymore… I knew that as time goes on, I had to find another suspect, this is it, and I don't know where I can head to anymore.
Daisy: I was really surprised that Boo was eliminated yesterday. He was one of the smartest out of us all. Now with everyone so smart leaving, I think this game isn't exactly up to intelligence anymore.
Boomerang: I guess with two of the smartest gone in a row, Birdo and Boo, they all suspected the wrong person as the Mole. Either that I am actually on the right track, or that all four of the eliminated people so far are on the wrong track, and I kinda doubt if the latter would actually be true.
Toadiko: Only one more episode to be in the second part of this game! I do have an idea on who the Mole is now, and I don't want the chance to win the money gone. I wonder sometimes yesterday, if Junior and I don't have our exemptions, might we be eliminated instead?
Junior: Yes, Boo, Toadiko and I's coalition partner has left, therefore either he made the wrong choice, or the entire group made a wrong choice. I really thought about it last night, because if either Toadiko or I failed to get our exemptions, might he still be in the game rather than us?
Rosalina: Yes, I belive that I am somehow on the right track. Since if I'm actually not on the right track. I doubt if I'm still here right now. However I cannot let my guard down, anyone here could be the Mole.
"Where are we going, Monty?" Toadiko asked with curiosity as the group headed onto a cruise ship.
Monty winked to them, "New episode, new location."
Rosalina: So far, we have visited Mushroom Kingdom, Koopa Kingdom, Spanpa Town and Dry Dry Desert. All of these places are different, a peaceful kingdom, a kingdom spoken badly but is still nice, a quiet Spanish town and a desert. I wonder where we will be heading next.
"Players, this ship actually isn't heading to the Mushroom Kingdom." Monty told them, "As you have noticed, it is a cruise ship. This episode shall be all on an island nearby. The island is very famous for its large hedge maze, and the island's name is Maze Island. We shall have our execution this episode on the dock, but I guess that is in due time. For now, let us assign everyone to rooms."
"We don't get to choose?" Daisy wined.
Monty winked, "Yep, you don't get to choose."

Room 001: Daisy and Rosalina
Room 002: Toadiko and Junior
Room 003: Paratroopa and Boomerang
Boomerang gritted his teeth at the list.
Boomerang: Now, I'm not always dumb, I know that Daisy and I are in a coalition and Para is definitely not in a coalition. I wonder what I would do if Para was to ask me for a coalition while Daisy wants me to meet her somewhere.
Toadiko: By all chances, I'm roomed with Junior, my coalition partner as Boo left. Well… I guess Junior isn't that bad, by all chances. I am pretty happy to room with him, let alone having another person to work with in the game.
"Rosie, I'm getting seasick." Daisy complained.
Daisy: Ever since our new rooms were released and I'm not roomed with Boomerang, my mood isn't that good, let alone getting seasick. This episode's rooming is just horrible in so many ways that I lost count.
Rosalina put a hand to her face. "Daisy, please stop, you are giving me a headache."
Rosalina: Yes, Daisy has been whining childishly the entire time. I believe there is a better way than to complain. Her talking has got me unfocused, and I am trying to figure out what we will be doing at the 'Maze Island'.
Daisy stood up, "I'm gonna go to the deck, I bet it will be better there."
"Then I shall go for a lovely meal at a restaurant I passed by a while ago, would you like to tag along?" Rosalina kindly offered.
Daisy shook her head. "Nah, I'm fine."
"Very well then, maybe I could get someone else to enjoy the food with me." Rosalina smiled before heading out, Daisy quickly dialed Boomerang's room number on the phone.
"Hello, it's Paratroopa." Paratroopa's voice came through.
Daisy gritted her teeth, "Paratroopa, I'm just wonder does Boomerang wanted to go to the deck to enjoy some fresh air with me?"
"Sure, I'll ask him." Paratroopa said before some silence, after that Paratroopa came back. "Yeah, he said he'll come."
Rosalina quietly knocked the door on Boomerang and Paratroopa's room. "Excuse me, I am wondering if you or Boomerang would like to have lunch with me at a lovely restaurant I passed by a while ago."
Paratroopa: Gee, Boomerang left 10 seconds ago and then suddenly Rosalina popped out of nowhere and asked me to dine with her. Could this place get a bit busier? I'm wondering how nice it would be if we were allowed a day's rest.
"Yeah, sure, I'm pretty hungry anyways." Paratroopa smiled and came out before locking the door.
Rosalina proceeded to Toadiko and Junior's room. "Toadiko, Junior, I am wondering if you would like to have some lunch with me." Rosalina asked.
"Sure, doesn't sound bad." Junior turned back to get Toadiko.
Toadiko: Junior and I briefly went over Boo's execution last night, and we decided that maybe Boo had actually gotten through if it wasn't for our exemptions. Just when we thought that we might want some food, Rosalina came with a wonderful invitation, talk about luck!
Daisy and Boomerang went to McToads, "You kidding me? They went to a fancy restaurant and we dine at McToads?" Boomerang laughed as he took a bite from his hamburger.
"Well, I guess it's alright, I don't like fancy food too much, do you?" Daisy asked as she forked another vegetable from her salad.
Boomerang: Personally, I would prefer McToads than fancy restaurants like Fancy Shell. I mean, what's the point? We could dine here and Daisy is wearing a tank top and shorts and I'm wearing a sleeveless hoodie, they on the other hand are probably wearing fancy clothes.
Daisy laughed at his response. "I wonder how the other 4 are going right now, if Rosie was the one that picked the restaurant, then I bet it is Fancy Shell."
"I did see one on the ship, like this McToads." Boomerang laughed with her.
Meanwhile, true to the other two, Rosalina has decided on a Fancy Shell restaurant. In order to enter a restaurant like this, everyone had to wear formal wear. Rosalina decided that she will not come in sport uniform and changed into her normal dress and high heels. Toadiko is wearing a dress as well, but flats instead of heels. Junior wore a white shirt and a vest over the top and Paratroopa came with a short sleeved white shirt which is considered 'casual wear' for the restaurant.
Rosalina started to cut her roasted fish, "Rosalina, don't you like meat?" Junior asked as he ate some of his pork stake.
"Not really, I prefer fish over pork, beef or lamb, but I'm not vegetarian or allergic to it." Rosalina replied with a smile.
Toadiko growled lightly as she tried to wipe some juice off her dress. "I should've known to not order orange juice and cheese platter."
Junior: It's actually quite rare for us to dine like this and chat a little as a four. It might be the first time for me, actually. Meals like this are quality time, you could ask people about their general background and all that.
"Geez, I feel like this place is a bit too fancy for me." Paratroopa said in a whisper.
Junior laughed lightly. "Why did you only wear a short sleeved shirt? But at least it is a button-up."
"Because it is the only one I brought with me." Paratroopa replied as he fiddled with his lamp steak.
Junior sighed, "Your clothing is considered 'casual' for this place."
"Then how come you have everything?" Paratroopa questioned.
Junior smirked. "Remember, I'm a prince and lawyer."
"I should've known." Paratroopa went back to his food.
Monty smiled as everyone disembarked, but the ship stayed there. "It is not going to leave until we leave the place as well and it takes us to our next destination."
"Might I ask is there a challenge for the day?" Rosalina questioned the host with suspicious eyes.
Monty nodded, "Yep, there is a challenge going on today, anyways, hands up if you don't want to go to jail."
Daisy: Err… Is that even an appropriate question to ask here?
Junior: It's to do with a challenge, obviously. If reverse phycology comes in, then that means people who has their hands up will have a challenge that includes jail, but I don't know why they would go to jail in first place though.
"I wouldn't." Daisy put her hand up.
Toadiko also put her hand up, "I wouldn't also." Seeing this, Junior put his hand up.
"Same here." Paratroopa raised his hand as well.
Junior: But since Toadiko decided to put her hand up, I thought, why not to give it a try, maybe it would get me out of jail.
Monty nodded, "Very well, now, please choose 1 person that knows the most about everyone in the group, including the executed, two good hackers and three lovely runners."
Boomerang: His approach seemed pretty real this time, might it be correct? Might it be incorrect? I have no idea who to nominate, just as long as it is not me, who is horrible on knowing everyone.
Paratroopa: I spent a fair bit of time with Dixie, I was going to ask her for a coalition but she was eliminated straight away when I had the thought. So I'm pretty confident on knowing Dixie, I have socialized with Boo a little and same with the others whose besides me. Waluigi and Birdo might be a challenge though.
"Might I suggest Daisy and Boomerang as the hackers?" Rosalina asked.
Daisy shook her head. "I have no idea how to even hack."
"Maybe I could do it, I have learnt a bit of hacking before." Junior put his hand up.
Rosalina: I originally wanted to see if I could eliminate Boomerang and Daisy off my list because it is quite painfully obvious that they are in a coalition. But the result of the experiment is when the experiment hasn't even begun, one of the subjects doesn't cope at all.
"We will be fine that way as well." Rosalina smiled, "Now, who would like to be the one that knows the most about the group?"
"I would." Paratroopa said as raised his hand.
Monty nodded, "Then that is settled then. Rosalina, Daisy and Toadiko, please come with me. Paratroopa, remain here waiting for a little while, same with you two, Junior and Boomerang."
Rosalina: Somehow, we got ourselves into gender groups, I am not the fastest runner here, I reckon, and Toadiko doesn't seem like the woman of the job as well. Daisy might be the best out of the three of us, wait, she will be the best out of the three of us.
"Rosalina, Daisy and Toadiko, I have reported to the police a crime that the group committed." Monty told them as they arrived at the hedge maze.
Daisy looked confused, "Wait, what we did?"
"Hacking into the bank." Monty replied simply.
Toadiko gasped, "Don't tell us that Junior and Boomerang's roles are…"
"Yes, they will be hacking into a bank into The Mole's account, which contains 20000 coins, for every layer of password they hack, 2000 coins will be moved into the pot. However, there will be a series of questions that Paratroopa will answer that will lead him into an 8 digit password for each person. Your job is their clock. In about 10 minutes, three toad police officers will come, they will chase you down, when all 3 of you are eliminated, the time is up." Monty explained, "That is all you need to know." He winked to them before walking out of the hedge maze as the door locked behind them.
Daisy turned to her teammates, "Alright, should we split up?"
"We definitely should." Rosalina said, "I think they will come out from the other end of the maze, so we do have a fair bit of time to prepare ourselves."
"Good luck guys, for 20000 thousand coins!" Toadiko said to the others before dashing off.
Toadiko: I would hate it if I were to be the first captured, that is why I am trying to run as far as I could, but I have no idea when would they arrive and start their capture. So that's why I am going to hide in what looks like a corner.
Paratroopa followed Monty onto the cruise ship's deck. "Paratroopa, your task is to use the walkie-talkie to tell the answers to Boomerang and Junior. They will solve the code, every single layer of password they solve, they will retrieve 2000 coins for the team pot, the maximum that could be earned is 20000 here. If you don't know the answer to a question, the pool over there will contain 10 chests, one for each player and there are all of the answers inside. However, if you were to open a single one, 1000 coins will be subtracted from the pot for every chest you open, understood?" Paratroopa nodded, "Alright, now I'm going to tell Boomerang and Junior their task."
Paratroopa looked at the whiteboard with a scroll of questions, each marked with a number.
Paratroopa: 8 answers for each of the players, I don't even know how much time we have. Monty never mentioned a thing about time.
"Junior and Boomerang," Monty led the two into an office like place inside a bank. "You two will be hacking into The Mole's account, which contains 20000 coins, for every layer of passwords you correctly solve, 2000 coins will be added to the pot. You have this walkie-talkie to communicate with Paratroopa, who will be retrieving the answers for you." He tossed the walkie-talkie to Boomerang, "Toadiko, Daisy and Rosalina will be escaping from three cops, when all three has been caught, time is up. Understood?" Seeing the two nodding, Monty nodded himself. "I will be off then, the mission starts now."
"Ugh, this job is not that well, actually." Boomerang admitted, being a bit uncomfortable of the mission.
Junior nodded, "I don't know if it is even legal or not."
Rosalina immediately saw a door that is open closing towards her left. "Oh my," She whispered before running back the way she came from, as soon as she turned out of the camera's view, a toad cop came into view.
"Hmm… I thought I heard something." The toad sighed before turning back the way he came from.
Rosalina: My prediction was correct, since the door was just closing, a cop is probably nearby, that is why I ran for my life and luckily, I am grateful that I didn't get caught by the cop, I hope that Toadiko and Daisy does the same as well.
Mission 1 has begun in the fifth episode! Who is the Mole? Who would the winner be? Happy Mole hunting!
