Chapter 19: Illegal Activities
I will probably try to finish the entire episode by the end of this month since I got everything planned out and knowing how to write it. So enjoy the chapter!
Toady: Oh, does that mean THE Mole's instincts are activating?! XD Sorry about the reference to a forum though, but I feel like quoting it. So you have interpreted a few clues that points at Paratroopa, I see. Might your Mole prediction and how Boo went be right? We shall probably find out in the reunion episode. XD *Shot* This mission is kinda based off the treading water mission from The Mole US 2, so it's not that new. XD Toadiko hid in what she thought was a corner but it was actually a turning that only goes to two sides, how will she perform in this challenge? You are about to find out. XD

Daisy sprinted down the route as she tried to get away from all the footsteps, but she made sure to be quiet at the same time as well.
Daisy: We are the timer. I have no idea how everyone else is going right now but from the looks of it, the three of us are avoiding the people quite good. I am probably going to be the last one to get caught, Toadiko isn't the best one for this challenge and Rosie… She just doesn't seem like the type to me.
"Gods, I just can't remember…" Paratroopa banged his head on the table, trying to remember Dixie's lucky number.
Paratroopa: Yes, I have indeed socialized a lot with Dixie. She has told me about a lot, but when I think she was about to ask for a coalition… She just had to be executed, the sadness in my heart that night was kind of unbearable.
Paratroopa remembered the number as he wrote down Dixie's lucky number before getting on with the next question.
Junior: I don't even know when we will get the phone call from Paratroopa. I'm seriously bored, sitting in a swinging chair and doing nothing, this is just sad. Toadiko, Rosalina and Daisy are probably in so much more action than we are right now.
"Got anything interesting?" Junior wondered, staring into space.
Boomerang looked freaked out at Junior's eyes staring at him. "Whoa, calm down, this is getting very uncomfortable for me."
Boomerang: I admit, Junior staring into me is not very comfortable. If he's going to do that for the next 20 minutes or so, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna freak out totally and want to escape from this place.
"Oh no!" Toadiko scrambled away from a toad cop, the one that came from Rosalina's direction as she ran the other way and turned right.
Toadiko: I'm pretty sure I am the very first person to be discovered, damn it.
Rosalina ran to her from the opposite side. "What has happened?"
"Run! Just run from this place!" Toadiko ran past her, Rosalina gasped lightly before making the decision to start running as well.
Toadiko saw a crossway. "Let's split up!"
"That might be wise." Rosalina nodded.
However both of them turned left.
"… Oh." Toadiko realized, "Well, next time I'm gonna go right."
Rosalina: Toadiko and I are probably going to laugh because we both turned to the left without realizing it even though we agreed to split up. However, 20000 coins are at stake and there is a cop behind us, not a very good situation to be laughing, wouldn't you agree?
"Yes!" Paratroopa picked the walkie-talkie up. "Hello? This is Paratroopa Glides!"
"I can hear you." Junior said in a deadpan voice.
Paratroopa continued, "Dixie's number is 65428395. Hurry up, we don't know if any of our timers has been caught yet." He referred to Toadiko, Daisy and Rosalina.
"Toadiko has been caught." The audio came through.
"Crap! I jinxed it!" Paratroopa cursed.
Boomerang quickly got to work. "Alright, 65428395 it is." He successfully unlocked the first layer of passwords. "Yes! We got one!"
"What's the next question set?" Junior asked, Paratroopa seemed to hesitate for a moment.
Paratroopa then replied. "Waluigi, I don't know anything about him."
"Ugh, do you have a way to have a shortcut?" Junior groaned in frustration.
"Well, yeah, but-"
"Use it then!" Junior snapped.
Junior: Obviously he is sabotaging and lagging time, why wouldn't he use that shortcut to answer the questions? This is just suspicious.
Paratroopa: Yes, I am hesitating whether or not to open the treasure chest or not.
Rosalina looked behind her in wonder as the cop decided to lead Toadiko out first.
Rosalina: Toadiko's physical abilities are poor, and her performance in those challenges that requires physical abilities are completely not acceptable. The challenge hasn't even begun for 10 minutes, yet she already got caught. I think it is a bit suspicious.
She decided to take turns to try to lose the cop which is still leading Toadiko out.
Rosalina: If she actually is trying to sabotage, Mole or not, she could only sabotage if both Daisy and I gets caught, and I am fighting until my knuckles are bloody before getting caught. I will not let her sabotage if she wants to.
Paratroopa slowly took the treasure chest ashore as he opened it.
Paratroopa: If I never open it, we will earn no money, however if I sacrifice 1000 coins, we can still win 1000 coins, it's pretty much a win for us, I mean, at least 1000 coins is better than nothing, I guess.
"Junior, I got Waluigi's number." Paratroopa said into the walkie-talkie.
"So my questions are next in the list?" Junior asked as another 1000 coins went into the pot, "My lucky number is 4."
Junior: Monty never said that we could share our own information, however at the same time, he never said that we are not allowed to share information. So I guess it is alright with the rules by telling Paratroopa the answers to my questions.
"Darn it! Birdo's questions are next!" Paratroopa shouted from the other side.
Boomerang raised an eyebrow as the third transmission of money went into the pot. "Don't tell me that you volunteered as the one knowing the most about the group while you don't know it at all?"
"Only Waluigi and Birdo." Paratroopa replied in a deadpan voice. "Junior, should I open another treasure chest?"
"Yeah, go ahead, if we wanted to get something done, you go ahead." Junior replied back.
Boomerang: I sense the entire mission is going a bit out of control. Toadiko got out less than 10 minutes the challenge started, Para doesn't even know a thing about what he's doing and Junior is insisting on removing money from the pot in order to… Err, add money into the pot?
"Oh my, what a chance was it to meet you here." Rosalina gasped lightly as she saw Daisy from the corner.
Daisy flailed her arms around, "Rosie! I'm being chased."
"Well, let's turn back this way then, I don't think I am being- AHHH!" Rosalina screamed suddenly out of character, Daisy knew what was going on as she rolled backwards, sliding under the koopa cop's legs before running.
"Ugh!" Daisy screamed in frustration, "Rosie, you just had to scream!" She noticed both the toad cop and the koopa cop is hot on her trails.
Daisy: Rosie suddenly gave our position away by screaming. She is usually calm and collected, don't tell me she's acting it out? Anyways, since I was lucky enough to get away, I will run for my life, but Rosie is already out because I don't think she'll get out of the situation of being cornered.
"Rosalina is out." The audio came.
Paratroopa panicked as he quickly opened Birdo's chest, adding only another 1000 into the pot instead of the possible 2000. "Guys! We have to be quick!"
"Who's next? You have to be quick, Boomerang is long done with the money here!" Junior shouted from the other side.
Paratroopa: I remembered, Boomerang is also there, he never said a single word during the challenge, or so I think. Might he know some things about Waluigi and Birdo? That way we might've earned 2000 more than what we earned, so… Suspicious behavior, he's never this quiet before.
"Boomerang, are you there?" Paratroopa asked, being a bit suspicious of him.
Boomerang took the walkie-talkie, "Yeah? You need me or something?"
"The next sets of questions are yours." Paratroopa replied.
After another 2000 made its way into the pot, they have finished half of the questions, however, they have only earned 8000 so far.
"I know the next ones." Paratroopa said from the other side.
Junior raised an eyebrow, "Huh? What do you mean by that?"
"They are my questions." Paratroopa deadpanned from the other side.
"Oh, right." Junior laughed.
Junior: Yeah, I fail sometimes in so many ways.
Daisy kept on running, "Crap!" She saw the final cop, the monty mole running towards her.
"Ha! Now we have the final one right here! Let's attack her! Mushroom, you're my special agent, go ahead!" The literal mole ordered.
The toad cop sighed, "Fine, I'll get her out." After corning Daisy, the toad cop tagged her.
"Oh no!" Daisy sighed, "I thought I would last longer than 30 minutes…"
"Only 20 you lasted." The koopa cop laughed at her.
Daisy: The three 'clocks' of this challenge failed, badly in this challenge. I have no idea what I did wrong, but Rosie's scream and Toadiko's poor physical abilities did not help us one bit. This part of this mission is a disaster, if you would ask me.
Everyone was at the cruise ship, the players are somewhat disappointed with themselves as they tried to relax in the pool.
"How did it go there?" Daisy asked with a sigh as she took a sip her straw in the orange juice.
Boomerang was drinking from the other straw in the cup. "Not very well, I think we only got 10000 coins out of the possible 20000."
"Better than nothing, I guess." The princess replied.
"That looks a bit wrong." Junior commented on the side, drinking from his own coke.
Paratroopa took a drink from his own coke as well, "Err… Let's think about the mission for now."
"I heard that you solved 6 questions, however, how is it possible when you only earned 10000?" Toadiko asked with suspicious eyes as she sipped her strawberry juice.
Rosalina nodded on the inflatable mat, "Yes, I do wonder what happened there? Did you get a penalty or something?" She took a drink of her water.
Rosalina: Enough with the penalties, but it is very curious that they solved 6 questions, each worth of 2000 coins, yet only 10000 coins went into the pot according to them. I hate no idea what has happened, but I guess I'll have to find out.
"If we don't know the answer to someone's questions, we can get the answers for 1000 coins. I used 2 of those chances for Birdo and Waluigi's questions." Paratroopa told them.
"Ah," Rosalina smiled, "Now I get it."
Monty approached the group, "Players, I have come to inform you of your results. The runners lasted for 22 minutes and 53 seconds, however within that time, only 6 questions were solved. So that would add 12000 coins into the pot, however, Paratroopa decided to open 2 treasure chests to find out the answer to 2 sets of questions, so I shall subtract 2000 coins from that, leaving you with a whole 10000 coins."

Boomerang: We are almost at the 100000 mark, however I would wonder if it wasn't for the runners that got out fairly quickly, would we actually answer the rest of the questions and get all of the other 8000 coins still available?
Monty then smiled, "This morning, I asked you who would like to not visit the jail, Paratroopa, Toadiko, Junior and Daisy, you four said that you wouldn't. The police has found out about the theft from the back and unfortunately, I said your names because it came to mind first, so you four would have to spend the night in jail."
"… What?" The four people asked in confusion.
Rosalina and Boomerang tried to hold their laughter. "Good luck with that." Boomerang said with his face red.
"But it also has a good thing with it, because you four will participate in a mission that costs 20000 coins tonight and try to add some money into the pot, but for now, please head to the police station." Monty didn't drop his smile as he guided the players out.
Junior: This game is downright sad right now.
*Shot* Sorry guys for this really short chapter! However I was so busy with Bowser Party 1 this week and this challenge doesn't take that much of words to write about so I decided to leave it off at around here. You can expect a longer chapter next time, as I said, I'll try to finish this episode by the end of this month if I could, or at least upload another challenge or so. I have already planned out how to write the rest of the story so it wouldn't be that much of a trouble.
