Chapter 20: Cell Break
I'm back now, last time we left off at the part where the players that were unlucky are heading to the jail cells, from the chapter title, I guess you could see what type of challenge they will be facing! XD
Toady: The mission was indeed quite uneventful for the boys, but they actually had the money earning role of the game, haha. It's not really that some people are Mole candidates while the others are just people that don't scream 'Mole' to people, everyone is a candidate for the Mole. XD Everyone in the final 6 does have their own sabotaging moments of the game, but I will not tell you who the Mole is. XD

"Ugh, this is going perfect." Daisy growled as she walked around in their cell, all four of them are in quite a large cell. Inside the cell, although it is quite large, but four people have to fit inside and all there, are a small bed and a bench.
Junior shook the metal bars in his cell. "It's no use." Toadiko told him with tears in her eyes.
Junior then punched the bars, "Get us out of here!"
Paratroopa: Everyone's in such a panicky state! This is going perfect, I'd better stay quiet and let them argue, I don't want to get involved, right? I don't see any bad in letting them argue, I think. Well, they are not really arguing, they are mainly… Complaining, yes, I would say that.
"Do you still remember about the mission Monty mentioned?" Paratroopa asked as the three panicked people settled down.
Daisy rolled her eyes, "Yeah, 20000 coins…"
"Oh, what's this?" Junior wondered as he opened a trapdoor. "Hmm… A slingshot, a few marbles and a long robotic hand?" He looked at the slingshot.
Paratroopa picked up some of the marbles. "Do we have to shoot them somewhere?"
Daisy: Those threesomes are being quite weird right now. Toadiko isn't suggesting a thing that I expected her to nor that she really moved at all and tried to think at all. Paratroopa is being quiet, well, he is pretty quiet, but still. Junior, he is the one I'm the weariest of, how the heck did he manage to find those things out of nowhere?!
Toadiko pointed at something hanging off the wall outside. "Look, a key!"
"But it is held up by a bubble of some sort." Junior said as he tried to connect the dots.
Daisy facepalmed, "I can't believe you people, we are supposed to escape by using that key, which has to be shot down from the bubble thingy!"
Toadiko: All thanks to Daisy, we realized our task, our main task is to try to escape with what we have, of course, it's not going to be that easy with all of us being inside here and I guess the slingshot and marbles are for that purpose.
"There are four marbles here, how about we all take a shot each?" Paratroopa suggested.
Daisy nodded in agreement, "That wouldn't sound too bad."
"How about I do it? I mean, I have studied archery before." Junior suggested.
Daisy doesn't sound convinced, "Well, it would be easy for you to get off if you were the Mole."
Toadiko caught something from the corner of her eye, "Junior, you were leaning against the wall before you found that trapdoor, right?" Junior nodded. "Then why does this map appear here, all scrolled up?" She unfolded a map of the entire police station.
Junior: Huh? There was a map behind where I was standing the entire time? I didn't notice at all! How did it get there, because I don't recall the event of seeing this scroll when I decided to lean against the wall there.
Paratroopa put a hand to his chin, "Let's get to it, so we all take a shot at it each, right?"
"Yep, let's do this, guys!" Daisy cheered as she took a marble and the slingshot, "I'll go first!" She aimed for it before releasing the strap on the slingshot. However she missed completely and the marble shattered into pieces against the wall.
Toadiko: Daisy tried to aim for the wall poorly, that's something I'm not going to let go. Is she actually trying her hardest to sabotage? This is definitely a suspicious moment of hers, but it's just so confusing, did she do it on purpose? Did she not?
Toadiko took her shot next, "Ladies first," She smiled before carefully aiming, "This isn't going well…" She released it and missed as well.
Paratroopa: Toadiko on the other hand had a better aim compared to Daisy's. The 'bubble' was extremely small. I wonder if there is another way out of this situation rather than using the key on the wall.
"I'm doing it next." Paratroopa quickly grabbed the stuff, not being very confident, with an aim, he let go. Only to face bad results yet again.
Junior: I'm the only one with a shot left, even though I have done archery before, I'm not that confident. Let's just say that I'm not going to get it to get some pressure of me, but since I've already stated the facts, it's impossible to change now.
Junior calmed aimed and let go.
"Darn!" Daisy growled.
Daisy: Does Junior seem suspicious? Hell yeah! He said that he has done archery before, but clearly from what I could see, it isn't what he said, this is plainly sabotage in his part. Of course, it's time for more suspicions on him.
"So, what now?" Toadiko asked, hopeless.
Paratroopa rolled his eyes, "Let's wait here or something?"
Rosalina and Boomerang were in the dining room of the cruise ship. "How do you think the others are going?" Boomerang asked as he took another bite out of his food.
Rosalina quietly ate, "It has come to my attention that there isn't much stuff here around that we could see. So I would cheer them on, if I know how to."
"I hope there isn't in the challenge that we missed." Boomerang admitted.
Boomerang: I guess it isn't the most pleasant feelings when you are sitting there and eating with a friend while your teammates are working hard for the money you could earn. It's going to be pretty unfair if Rosalina or I won, because then we would've earned some money that we don't deserve in the first place.
Rosalina: I have suspected that we have our own parts in this challenge before, however, facts has proved me wrong. Junior, Daisy, Paratroopa and Toadiko are all partaking in a challenge, it's pretty sad to know that they are trying to earn money into the team pot while you are there relaxing.
Paratroopa spotted something outside, "Guys, I think I found something." He pointed at another key right next to their cell, pinned onto the wall.
"Well, our attempt earlier was useless." Daisy laughed.
Daisy: All this time we didn't notice that there is a key pinned right next to our cell, would you call this a fail on the parts of the players? I would.
Junior passed Paratroopa the robotic hand, "Try to get it." He told the other koopa.
Paratroopa stood on his toes as he reached for the key, trying to hook the rubber band off the nail.
Paratroopa: They own me so much after this challenge. I mean, I was the one that told everyone that there is indeed a challenge here, I even spotted the other key and was the one that retrieved it! This is plainly horrific since they are giving me all the work, I think.
"Yep, I got it." Paratroopa smiled as he got the key off its nail.
Junior took over the key, "I'll just open it…" He tried twisting the key in the keyhole. "Huh? It's not working."
"Err… Really?" Daisy questioned with suspicious eyes. "Let me try." She went to the door and opened it in an instant.
Toadiko: Since Junior is my coalition partner at the moment, I do not want to suspect him at all. But in this situation, I cannot bring myself to trust him. His actions so far in this challenge are so weird that I don't even want to think about it.
"Anyhow, we are able to get out of here." Paratroopa stated, "Let's get out."
Daisy: Paratroopa is definitely our leader in this challenge. He did most of the work, so I won't take any credits from him. But still, it's a bad feeling to leave all the work to someone and slack off yourself, I will try my hardest every challenge, like I already did.
Paratroopa led the group down the hallway and passed some cells. "Let's go this way, there seemed to be a room for the cell guards here." He sighed.
Suddenly, a booming noise came through. "Eeep! What's that?!" Daisy screamed.
"Attention everyone, the prisoners from The Mole cell has escaped." The audio came through.
Junior: Err… Hearing this, should I be worried now?
"Run, just run for your lives!" Junior screamed as he ran down a corridor.
Toadiko gasped, "Wait, Junior!" She chased after him.
"Don't just stand here, go after then!" Daisy screamed again as she prepared to run.
"There they are!" A cop pointed at them in the distance.
Daisy flailed her arms around, "Crap!" She ran down another corridor.
Paratroopa decided to chase after Daisy.
Rosalina sighed as she placed a hand to her face. "I would like to at least know what they are currently doing."
"Yeah, I guess that would be the best, but we don't." Boomerang stated plainly, the two are currently in the pool again for a night swim.
Rosalina: It would be nice to have Monty here to tell us what they are doing, because since I'm not in a coalition, it would be deadly if I don't know what is happening. There are bound to have questions on this particular challenge that we have to answer.
Monty arrived, "Wow, we are just talking about you." Boomerang said as he stopped to look at their host.
Rosalina nodded, "Yes, it would be a coincidence if you have appeared here out of nowhere."
"Well, what can I say?" Monty grinned, "Let's see how the others are doing. If they manage to escape from the place before 12 AM, they win 20000 coins, however if even 1 of them gets caught, they will lose."
Rosalina looked confused, "And I wonder if we have our own part in this challenge?"
"Not at all! I just came here to inform you of the basic aspects of the challenge, but what happened, is what you will have to find out yourself." With that, the literal mole walked away.
Boomerang: It is pretty rare to see a challenge without me involved in it completely, this is the second one so far, the first one was the bangles challenge I didn't take part in. I was pretty glad that I could relax for real for once, but even though Monty stated it, I couldn't help but to think that we have a part in this challenge ourselves.
Junior and Toadiko stormed down the hallway they are in, the cops hot on their trails. "Where did all of these cops come from?!" Junior screamed as he dragged Toadiko by her hand.
"Slow down, please!" The toad girl shouted back to him.
Junior: I don't get what Toadiko is thinking, but I don't think it would benefit us if she gets caught. Her weak physical ability has shown during the course of the game and I wouldn't want to let her go during a challenge that involves running at all.
Junior didn't slow down, "I don't think it would be good if we get caught, or one of us at least!"
"Fine then!" Toadiko shouted back, a bit frustrated. "I'm not that fast, so please slow down!"
"Ugh, that leaves me no choice…" Junior bit his lips.
Toadiko looked confused, "Hmm? What do you mean by that?"
Junior flung her up on his back and gave her a piggyback, "This is what I mean!" He shouted as he fastened his pace.
"Um… Thanks." Toadiko replied awkwardly.
Toadiko: I wouldn't call this situation not awkward, Junior decided to give me a piggyback out of the blue, would all girls think it is embarrassing and don't know what to do? Yes, I would!
Paratroopa is struggling to catch up to Daisy as he tried his hardest to fly down the hallway.
"Paratroopa, catch up!" Daisy shouted from the front, "Don't tell me I have to give you a piggyback, only Toadiko needs that!" She shouted, not knowing that Junior did give Toadiko a piggyback.
Paratroopa panted, "Sorry," He rolled his eyes sarcastically, "I'm trying my best here, it's you that is too good, tennis coach." He referenced to her occupation.
Daisy: I know that I am a princess, but I'm also a tennis coach, so I know that my physical ability is one of the best out of the group, the other being Boomerang, the security guard. I expected myself to have good performance in physical challenges, however it doesn't seem like that I'm doing so well.
"Yeah, I guess you are pretty fast too, let's get going, shall we?" Daisy smiled as she and Paratroopa ran out of the corridor.
Junior and Toadiko are struggling as Junior started to slow down by a bit.
Toadiko: I know that we are slowing down, am I dead weight right here? I was very touched by Junior's actions, but we have no idea if we will only win if we all escape or we will win separate money, because I think that Rosalina and Boomerang might have a part in this mission as well. But if it's the former, then I cannot get caught, neither can Junior, but if it was the latter, then I could sacrifice myself in order to let Junior out of the place, thus winning more money, it's only one night in a cell… I could manage with it.
Making up her thoughts, Toadiko sprang back and got caught by a cop. "Hey! What are you doing?" Junior asked, shocked.
"GET OUT OF HERE!" Toadiko screamed.
"Someone has been caught, no money has been earned for this mission." The audio came through, "The prisoners must now spend their night in their cell."
Toadiko: Well… It was worth a try, but if I haven't done that, would we have won by any chance?
"So let me get this straight." Daisy said in an upset manner. "You decided to sacrifice yourself in order to let Junior to save himself."
"Yes, we were in the situation where we either get caught, or I get captures so Junior could escape. We were never told that the money will only be earned if all of us made it out, so I decided to sacrifice myself." Toadiko testified, "It was very sweet that Junior decided to carry me, though, otherwise I wouldn't have lasted for as long, but I do apologize for the incident."
Daisy: That settles it, we have lost this challenge. I was never there myself to see what has really happened, so Toadiko might be lying about the part where she was trying to save Junior in order for her sacrifice. Junior and Paratroopa were touched by her story, however wouldn't the Mole want us to trust them and then sabotage before getting away with it?
"Anyways," Daisy rolled her eyes, "Since we only have a bench and a bed, we have to decide who sleeps on which."
Toadiko walked away, "I won't go for any of them, since I failed the group."
"Ladies first," Paratroopa said politely, "Toadiko and Daisy, you two should occupy the bed and the bench."
"Yeah, I guess that's fine." Junior concurred.
Daisy smiled, "Well, thanks! I'll take your offer."
"But I don't really deserve those." Toadiko insisted.
Junior patted her on the back, "It's alright, if I didn't slow down, that thought would never cross your mind."
Daisy was trying to suck up, "Err… Toadiko? Would you terribly mind if I take the bed?"
Paratroopa: I can see why Daisy doesn't really want to sleep on the floor or the bench, she's royalty, after all. But she never complained a bit about not luxury since we have got here except for the cell and all that, so I would let her use the bed.
"Sure," Toadiko replied, "I would like the bench, but if any of you two would like it…"
"Nah, I'm good with the floor." Junior shrugged.
Paratroopa nodded, "Take it, Toadiko, it's yours."
Rosalina and Boomerang are happily dining in the breakfast room the next morning. "Hello there, players." Monty greeted the two of them.
Rosalina bowed in her seat. "Good morning to you, Mr. Monty Mole."
Rosalina: I am a bit nervous about the results last night, Boomerang and I never heard a word about what happened, so I guess we were left in the dark by a little. But since the others are not here midnight last night, I assume they failed.
"By the way," Boomerang swallowed the food in his mouth, "How did it go? I mean, last night of course."
"Yeah, they failed." Monty replied casually.
Boomerang: We have just lost 20000 coins and he brushes it off as nothing? That is kind of ridiculous, same with our pot. If it doesn't rise today, then we wouldn't reach the 100000 mark at all. I think there is still a mission left for this episode, but for now as we are at Episode 5, I wouldn't consider us as successful.
Monty then smiled, "But anyways, let us have Toadiko Toadlina, Junior Koopa, Paratroopa Glides and Daisy Saraoral back to us!"
Toadiko, Junior, Paratroop and Daisy entered the room and took their seats, immediately, they dug into the food and ate like there's no tomorrow.
"Um, may I ask what happened during the mission?" Rosalina inquired, but the foursome is still eating since they had bad sleep (The bed is without a mattress, only a wooden board) and skipped dinner. "I wouldn't get any information like this…"
Rosalina: It isn't very polite that they dug into the food as if they would die if they don't eat at this moment. Boomerang and I have more important things to do rather than drinking our coffee. I don't really think this is going alright for the two of us. Besides, I would scold them for their childish table manners but… Since they have only suffered through something, I will be kind and let them go for this once.
The group arrived at the huge maze that was used for the first mission of the episode. "Now, please select 3 people that deserve an exemption." Monty told them.
Daisy: I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard the word 'exemption', it would be nice to have an exemption in my possession, but I bet it will remove money from the pot, and our team in desperate for the money.
"I would nominate the three that haven't used an exemption yet." Boomerang suggested.
Junior nodded in agreement, "That would be fair."
"So… Paratroopa, Rosalina and Daisy?" Toadiko confirmed.
Rosalina gasped, "Oh no, you don't have to."
"Chill, take the offer." Boomerang smiled at her.
Rosalina: I am very touched by how everyone is offering me to get the exemption, but I couldn't afford to waste can-be-earned money for the pot for my little exemption. I was really focused on not getting into an awkward situation for this, but now is time to have a decision.
"Okay then, thank you for the offer, I shall take it." Rosalina smiled.
Daisy: Yeah, take it, why not? Mole, well, at least in my opinion Rosie is still my Mole choice. She would like to use the mask she is using, but look at her! She still agreed!... Not like that I didn't take it, I did too, hehehe…
Monty then approached them, "In a minute, I will lead Paratroopa, Rosalina and Daisy into the maze, the other three will be the 'cops' as the mission. In the Maze Hunt, you have to capture all three of the 'exemption players' in order to win 30000 coins, one for each person. However, as the role suggests, the exemption players will have the choice to go for the exemption and try to avoid the cops, each successful exemption player that avoided the cops for 30 minutes will earn an exemption for themselves, whilst the ones that were captured will earn 10000 coins into the pot. Your pot is a bit low right now, so it could use this boost, but there are three exemption players, so three of you can have your exemption, that leaves only 3 people available for execution tonight. Rosalina, Paratroopa and Daisy, please follow me."
Toadiko, Junior and Boomerang made their way into the place, deciding to capture all of the exemption players.
Boomerang: I would like Daisy to have the exemption if it is possible, that way our chances for surviving will increase coalition-wise. But she doesn't seem to be the greedy player, so maybe she would decide to get captured on purpose.
"Ready? Go!" The audio came through and all three cops dashed off into different directions.
Yay! I'm done with another chapter! Now with only 1 chapter for this episode left, who will be executed, and who is the Mole?
