Hi everyone! Thank you for all the favs, reviews, and alerts! No one has figured out who Jack is, but at the end of this chapter you'll find out who he is. There's a chance I may or may not get around to posting another chapter this week or not, because I have finals on Thursday and Friday. And next week I have an all new schedule so I'll need time to adjust to that, but there probably won't be as much as a workload next week so I may or may not get one or two chapters up. We'll see!

I don't own Glee. I only own the characters Cory, Jack, Olivia, Jeff, Lila, and Skylar.

Enjoy!

"I think this is a really nice blue color. It's not your typical baby blue, but it's still bright and child-like," Rachel said as her and Finn walked out of Home Depot. They had just bought some paint and brushes so they could paint the nursery. Carole and Burt were watching over Cory for the day while they did it so he wouldn't starting touching everything and possibly hurt himself. She was carrying a bag of brushes while Finn carried three gallon paint cans.

"Yeah, this nursery is going to look like a nursery, unlike when he brought Cory home," Finn commented when he ignited the car once they got inside.

"Well we can't really blame anyone but ourselves with that one," she added while looking at her stomach. They arrived back at home about ten minutes later and rushed into the room to begin painting. She had to wear a mouth mask so she didn't inhale any of the chemicals from the paint, but she only did so because she didn't know what it would do to the baby. She gently stroked the paint on the wall, and was overall pleased with the color. Rachel continued to paints the walls until she felt something hit her back. The brunette turned around to see a smirk on Finn's face and the paint brush angled her way.

"Finn Christopher Hudson! What did you do?" she asked while trying to look at the back of her maternity dress.

"You should have changed into a old t-shirt and sweatpants for before painting" he said nonchalantly, which caused her to get a big blob of paint from her can and fling it at him. And it landed right on his shirt.

She laughed once it hit his shirt. "That's what you get!" He flinched forward, but continued painting the wall after a moment of silence. She was expecting him to continue the paint splatter fight, but instead he went back to his original task.

"What? No more throwing paint?"

"Nah. I want to get this done so I can do some of my homework," it was mid September now, and both of them had adjusted to school at different rates. Rachel found it more difficult to juggle college and raising a two year old at the same time, and Finn really didn't find college that much different from high school.

"You've been acting very mature lately since you've started college," she pointed out while painting the wall.

"Well, this is some serious stuff. Besides, Jack says you shouldn't joke around, that's why he's repeating Freshman English for the second time."

"Who's Jack? You've never mentioned him."

"He's this Junior who's really cool. I talk to him and Olivia in class the most," he didn't take his eyes off the wall.

"Like I said, I hope Olivia doesn't try to pull something with you," she sighed.

"Well, she hasn't yet, so she probably won't do anything," this time Finn looked at her.

"You should invite her and Jack over sometime then. They seem like good people."

"Well, we'll see what happens."

"Hey you two," Finn greeted Jack and Olivia as he approached his seat in English. He usually sat by them since the class would get boring after awhile. Since it was the start of a new week the class had no idea what they were doing.

"Hey Finn," Olivia grinned before looking back at Jack. "How was your weekend?"

"Good, Rachel and I set up the nursery so that's one more thing out of the way," he smiled. "And how was yours?"

"It was good too. We spent all of yesterday at my apartment just doing nothing," Olivia planted a small kiss on Jack's cheek, and Finn knew it was true. He figured they had started dating a couple weeks ago, but he didn't want things to get uncomfortable or something if he asked them. While she spoke, he noticed her boyfriend was in a bit of a daze.

"Hey Jack, you ok?"

"H-huh?" he snapped out of it pretty quickly. "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about something."

"You okay baby?" Olivia asked, wrapping her arm around his shoulders.

"Like I said, I'm fine," he snapped. The other two shrugged and took a seat next other friend. Their professor came walking in about five minutes later, and started to write stuff on the board. Finn wrote down what it said in his notebook. He glimpsed at the clock, and saw that the class was almost over with.

"Alright, class. I know you've only been in school for a few weeks, but I am going to give you your group project for the semester. The papers I'm passing out will give you all the instructions you need in order to get a good grade on this. Once I pass these out I'll assign you your groups," he passed out the packet of papers filled with instructions quickly, and immediately went back to his desk to look at the group list. "The first group consists of...Jack Warwick, Finn Hudson, Jeff McKenna, and Olivia Holter. Olivia, I hope you don't mind that you're in an all male group. I-"

"It's fine, sir. I don't mind," she interrupted him. All he did was nod his head, and after about two minutes all the groups were announced and they all got together to talk. Jeff came over from the back of the room towards the other three. He seemed like a shy person, because he approached them hesitantly. Finn greeted him with open arms though to make him feel more welcome.

"Geez, you're tall," Jeff responded.

"Yeah, genetics are weird," he replied.

"So, we should probably meet up somewhere after school today to talk about what we're doing," Jack said while writing his name on the packet.

"You can come over my house if you want. We can hang out in the living room, I'm sure Rachel won't mind. Do you need me to pick up any of you after school?"

"Jack and I could use a ride, if that's fine. Jack lives on campus and doesn't have a car," Olivia mentioned.

"Alright. Do you Jeff?"

"No, I'm good. Here's my number and just text me the address," he ripped off a piece of paper and wrote his number on it. The bell rang, and everyone got up from the seats and casually left the room to go to their other classes.

-more-than-words-

"Thanks for coming over Lila. I wanted to ask you something and I didn't want to bother Dr. Chin with any of my questions," Rachel plopped down in the chair after getting her friend some iced tea. Her daughter, Skylar was on the floor watching a show both her and Cory agreed to watch.

"Sure, shoot," the blonde was always so straight-forward whether is was a question or an answer.

"Were you sensitive to smell too? I wasn't with Cory, and they say that every pregnancy is different...so..."

"Oh yeah," she rolled her eyes. "Even if I smelled flowers, they made me want to puke."
"I'm glad I'm not the only one," they both laughed. "How's Bryan?"

"He's good. He's been going to the therapy, and we celebrated out anniversary a couple of months ago. Skylar just loves him," Lila answered while staring at her daughter. Skylar was a mini-Lila; back when she met them two years ago, and now two years later. Just then, Rachel heard the door open and shut quickly. "That must be Finn. Finn! We're in here!"

"Hey, grab something from the fridge if you'd like," she heard him whisper. Who was here? He came walking in with a grin on his face and kissed his fiancee on the lips as his greeting.

"Hey," he said. "I brought some friends over. We got assigned with a group project and we're going to discuss what we're going to do with it."

"Oh, that's fine. Are they staying here for dinner or...?

"We'll see," he answered. The brunette then saw another brunette girl walk in with a glass of water. "Rach, this is Olivia."

"Nice to meet you Olivia," was all she said. "This is my friend Lila."

"Nice to meet you too," she ignored Rachel and shook her friend's hand, but quickly came back over to Rachel. "Finn talks about you and Cory all the time. Based off what he says I better see you on Broadway."

"I will, I promise you that," she smiled. Finn was right, she really didn't seem like a bad person.

"Liv! What did you get to drink?" a voice came from the kitchen, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Lila stiffen. Rachel's head turned to the other side, and it looked like she was paralyzed with fear.

"Water!" the other girl shouted. "Sorry, Jack can be a little nit picky sometimes."

"D-did y-you just say Jack?" Lila stuttered. While she spoke, her eyes were as wide as tires from Burt's shop and they didn't even blink once. Before Olivia could answer, Jack walked into the living room, taking a huge gulp of water down before looking at the atmosphere.

"Wow, this house has good..." he stopped when he looked at Lila, and her expression completely changed. "Lil..."

"No, don't you dare. Don't. You. Freaking. Dare," she growled. How did these two know each other? Rachel tried to think back to when they first met and they exchanged each other's pregnancy stories. She talked about some guy who asked her to the homecoming dance, had sex that night, and a week later after Lila told him that she was pregnant, he ran off. After looking at both of them one more time, and then looking at Skylar, it hit her.

Jack was Skylar's father.

I bet you didn't see that coming. Well, at least I hope you didn't.

Coming up in chapter 20: I'm only going to tell you two things about this chapter. 1. Don't hate me after you end up reading it. 2. Remember, Finchel is forever 3
