Hey everyone! Here's chapter 20! Thank you for all the favs, alerts, and reviews!

The next three chapters are going to involve some pretty dramatic and shocking stuff. This chapter (especially the ending) was pretty tough for me to write, and you'll see why. I hope I don't lose viewers/have people hate me for some of the stuff that's going on. The next three chapters' titles (Including this one) are lyrics from The Scientist, which was in The Break-up in last season of Glee. So that means you probably know what's going to happen.

Warning: There's alcohol usage/underage drinking in this chapter.

I don't own Glee. I only own the characters Cory, Lila, Skylar, Olivia, Jack, and Jeff.

Enjoy! And once again, don't hate me.

"Lil, you look good..."

"I just told you, don't you dare! Don't talk to me or anything like that!" Lila growled and shot up from her seat and became face to face with her ex. Rachel had forgotten how tall her friend was compared to her.

"Lila, please, calm down, do you want our daughter -"

"Our daughter? Skylar Adams, not Skylar Warwick, is my daughter! Did you hear that? My daughter. My current boyfriend, Bryan, is the man in her life that she considers her father. She's basically my carbon copy, while all you are is a sperm donor," she screamed.

"Get out of my boyfriend's face!" Olivia exclaimed. All Lila did was turn her head over to the brunette and slap her in the face.

"I hope I knocked some sense into you!" she screamed. "Wait until he gets you pregnant and abandons you after saying he'll support you and stay by your side, then you'll realize what kind of mistake you're making."

"Mommy...?" Skylar got up from the floor and walked over to her mother, grabbing her leg. "Why are you yelling? Yelling isn't nice."

"I know honey, and I'm so sorry," she got onto to ground level so she could look the four year old in the eye. "I was only yelling to prove a point, but sometimes that doesn't work. Are you ready to go home?"

She nodded, and lifted her arms and wiggled her fingers which indicated she wanted to be picked up. "Isn't your cup in the kitchen? Maybe Uncle Finn will go help you find it."

"C'mon Skylar, let's go," Finn instructed the little girl towards the kitchen and they walked away from the commotion.

"She kinda looks like me, you know that Lila," Jack whispered while looking at the floor.

"And I don't care. Like I said, Bryan is her father. She doesn't even know who you are, and she doesn't even care. Just like I don't care about you. You could drop dead right now; it doesn't matter. You don't matter to me."

"Mommy! We found my cup!" the little blonde girl shouted from the doorway.

"That's great, honey." she grinned. "Goodbye Jack. If I ever see you again, you'll be sorry." She said bye to everyone else before leaving, and once she left the house their was a stillness in the Hudson household.

"Well, than went well," Jack said, and his girlfriend bumped his arm with her elbow.

"That didn't go well at all. I can't believe you didn't tell me about her. You didn't even tell me you had a daughter," she growled.

"I never thought I'd have to tell you about her. Hell, I never thought I'd see her again. Plus I didn't know she had a girl," he tried to defend himself, but it wasn't working out too well.

"Let's just discuss our project, please," Olivia sat herself down on the floor, and Finn, Jack and Jeff gathered around in a circle. Rachel took Cory back into her room to entertain him in there so he wouldn't' distract anyone.

-more-than-words-

"That was interesting," Rachel said from their bedroom as Finn was getting ready for bed in the bathroom. It was around eleven, and due to school they started going to bed earlier.

"Today? Yeah, it was," he said jumping into the bed carefully. "Who knew that I'd end up being friends with the father of your friend's baby?"

"The odds are very slim, but yes it can happen. Still, in a way I think you should have to me you were bringing them over, that way even if they didn't know each other things wouldn't have gotten awkward," the brunette pointed out while looking at Finn.

"I...didn't know this group project was going to be assigned. If I did I would have told you."

"What I mean is you could have texted me or called me or something to let me know you were coming? I could have waiting to invite Lila over at another time. Surely you would have had time during the day since English is your first class," she continued.

"I'm sorry, ok? I'm sorry that my life is a little busier than yours," he snapped.

"Wow, good job Finn. Good job and goodnight. Can you please drop Cory off at the daycare tomorrow please? I know it's like I don't do anything around here, but I need you to for me," Rachel scooted down farther into the bed since it was hard for her to lay on her side now. Anything could set her off now at this point. Well, mainly ever since he had started school and she was at home.

Everything just felt different, and it wasn't a good thing.

"So, what did you and Rachel gossip about last night after we left?" Olivia asked as her and Finn walked towards the daycare center on campus. On Tuesdays he had a forty minute break in between classes, so this was the perfect time to go visit Cory.

"We thought thing were...interesting," he said. "But we got into a little disagreement about something and we haven't really talked since last night."

"If it's something that Jack and I did, I'm so sorry," she said as Finn held the door for her.

"No, it wasn't you or Jack. It was probably me who started it anyways," he decided. They made their way into the toddler room, and he checked in to the sign-in/sign out sheet so the staff would know who he was. He smiled once he saw his some.

"Daddy," Cory said while walking over to his dad.

"Hey there buddy, how are you?"

"Toys," he pointed over to the red toy truck that he had just been playing with.

"That's a really cool truck. Why don't you bring it over so I can see it?" and he trotted back to the the toy to go get it.

"You're really good with kids," Olivia commented while smiling.

"Thanks. I think that's one of the reasons why I want to become a teacher," once Cory came back over to them, they played with him for awhile before it was time for them to get lunch. "So, where's Jack today?"

"He skipped, and he's been in a pretty bad mood since yesterday. I can tell Lila hurt his feelings, and there's a part of me that thinks he still liked her," she explained. "He's at my place now since he didn't want to deal with his roommate. Should our group get together tonight to work on the project?"

"It'll just be the three of us then; Jeff woke up this morning really sick and he's pretty sure it's contagious."

"Alright. Do you want me to pick you up or something?"

"That'd be great, thanks," Finn said while texting Rachel what Olivia and him just planned.

-more-than-words-

"Rach, we're home!" Finn exclaimed as he held his sons hand while they walked in dining room. Rachel was sitting there on her computer while writing down some stuff on a piece of paper.

"Hey," she greeted without taking her eyes off the screen.

"Mommy!" Cory screamed, and when he called her she turned her body so she could give her a hug. He then patted her stomach and said "Hi baby bwothew."

"Hi Little Cor, and the baby says hi back. Why don't you go to your room for a few minutes?" she asked politely.

"Ok mommy. Bye baby," and he walked away into his room. Once he was in his room Finn could tell Rachel was preparing to say something.

"First off, thank you for telling me what you were going to do tonight instead of just coming home late and not telling me why. If only you could have done that yesterday."

"Like I said, I'm sorry," he pleaded. "Why can't you forgive me?"

"I can't forgive you because you've been acting different ever since college started. And it hurts me because it feels like we've been growing apart. Maybe I should have gone on campus instead of doing the online school..."

"You shouldn't blame yourself for this, but you also can't protect me and keep me off limits. I -"

"We're engaged Finn! Do you not remember proposing to me? We're supposed to be committed to each other! And if we aren't able to commit now, then how are we supposed to do that in the future?"

"I am committed! If I wasn't, then I would have left a long time ago!" he exclaimed. It seemed like she stopped breathing once he said that.

"You flirted with Olivia when you met her in June, and even after I said you should stop talking to her you continued to! You're such an idiot!" when she said that, he simply turned his back and walked away from her. "That's right! Leave! See if I care!"

When he slammed the side door shut, he could hear a faint crying inside the house. Right before he got in his car, he swiftly dialed Olivia's phone number to talk to her.

"Hey. You don't need to pick me up, I'm on my way."

-more-than-words-

Finn knocked on the door of Olivia's apartment almost like it was a punching bag. He was so furious right now he couldn't take it. Moments later, the door opened and Jack was there instead. "Hey..."

"Heeeeeey there Finny-winny," he chuckled.

"Can I come in?" what was up with him?

"Of course, c'moooooooon down!" he walked in slowly, and noticed a couple of beer cans thrown on the floor. Olivia was standing in the kitchen holding a glass of water. He walked over to her with a confused look on his face.

"Hey," she whispered.

"What's going on with Jack?" Finn jumped to the question he had been wondering for seconds.

"He's drunk...When I got home he wasn't here, and when he came back he came home with two six-packs of beer," she explained with a frown.

"What? Why are you letting him do this?"

"He's 21, he's legally allowed to drink, and he won't stop. He said he'd stop when I'd have some...and so far I've fulfilled his request."

"What? Are you kidding me? I thought you were better than this. And plus, you're underage!" maybe Rachel was right, maybe they weren't a good influence at all on him.

"I love him, and I just want him to stop...Besides, I not going to drink anything above the legal limit for anyone under 21. " Olivia let out a sigh while taking another sip of beer.

"Finn!" he heard Jack shout from the couch. "C'heeeeeere and have a beeeeeeeer. Ha! That rhymed."

"No thank you, Jack. I'm not into that stuff," he rejected the offer quickly.

"But it's so goooooooood. My mind just so completely numb now and I just don't even care about that Lilly on Lila girl...I can't even remember her name right now but I don't care about her. Liv tooooooold me you got into a fight with Raquel yesteeeeerrrrrrday. Wanna talk 'bout it?"

"Well, we got into another fight half an hour ago, and now we're mad at each other. She called me an idiot, and I don't blame her," he explained, feeling guilty.

"Don't feeeeeel guilty, be happy! If you want to feeeeeeel more relaaaaaxed than when someone gets a...a thing where they massage you...have a beeeeer," Finn really couldn't respond before Jack threw the bottle he had been drinking from into his hands. He looked at Olivia, then at Jack, and took the bottle to his mouth.

It was 10:00 now, and Rachel hadn't heard from Finn since their fight. She hoped he was ok and wasn't lying in a ditch somewhere. She shouldn't have called him an idiot, but at the same time she was happy that she everything she wanted to say off of her chest. Should she call him? Maybe he was busy working on the project with his group.

Rachel decided to let him be until morning, but right when she was about to turn on the TV her phone went off. She looked at it, and noticed she had gotten a text from Finn. Her heart fluttered, hoping he wanted to talk. She went to her messages to not find a next, but a video. Wondering what it could be, she pressed play and watched it begin.

And once it started playing, her heart broke into a million pieces. Tears started to stream down her face, and by the time it was over she was bawling. So many questions were racing through her mind she couldn't focus. She had to call someone now before she'd have a mental breakdown.

"Hello...Y-yes I know I'm crying, but I need you right now. Y-you - you - ha-ave no idea how much I need someone right now."

So what was on the video? Who does Rachel call for help? And what will happen to Jack, Olivia, and Finn?

Coming up in chapter 21: Something happens that shakes people to their core.
