Chapter 21: Surprising Exit
The final chapter for this episode! I would suggest looking at the title for this chapter, since it is a bit more complicated than just a surprising execution.
Toady: The sentence you mentioned about Paratroopa, he was actually being sarcastic. Well, I guess Paratroopa just screams suspicious to you. XD Everyone has their own suspects, so I understand why you don't suspect Rosalina and Daisy. But as the numbers shrink down, the possible Mole suspects shrink down, that's also one of the most troubles a Mole author has. But everyone has different Moles, so they will all act differently. XD The sirens could be activated by anything, so there are so many possibilities! XD And yes, you have told me that you don't suspect the princesses before in your previous reviews.

"Oh, my god." Rosalina gasped. "Are any of you going for the exemption, I wonder?"
"Yes," Paratroopa said confidentially, "I don't want to get out at this stage of the game, my Mole suspect has gone last episode too, so I'm a bit blank."
Rosalina: I can clearly see that Paratroopa isn't confident for the quiz, so he will probably try his hardest to get away from the cops, which would be 10000 coins already gone. Daisy wasn't that certain, but she said that she doesn't really want to lose any more money for the team since it is obvious that we are not doing so well with the pot, what shall I do?
Daisy ran off to find the cops in order to get 10000 coins into the pot, Rosalina and Paratroopa were left there, standing together. "Are you going for it?" Paratroopa asked, "If they come, I will scramble away as fast as possible."
"Um…" Rosalina found it hard to make a decision, "Maybe… A coin would help?"
Paratroopa: Really? Rosalina, you don't decide if you are going to waste 10000 coins for an exemption by flipping a coin, that's ridiculous. On the other hand, Daisy doesn't want it while I wanted it, and we have all made up our minds completely.
"You know what, go for the exemption, it is a nice choice, we can both get to the next episode with ease." Paratroopa offered.
Rosalina: Is he trying to persuade me? It is very obvious that he is trying to sabotage, or does he want an exemption genuinely? Gosh, everyone is a suspect. I cannot focus on one person and not care about the rest, however at this stage of the game… It's time to make a decision.
Rosalina nodded, "Yes, I will go for the exemption, however if the cops do capture me, I will add the money into the pot gracefully."
Boomerang has run into Daisy, "Aren't you going to run?" The former asked.
"No, I will add the money into the pot." The latter replied.
Daisy: I have made up my mind, we need the money, and I am going to grant the team the money we need. I could win this game and I would prefer to be 10000 coins richer instead of poorer, wouldn't you agree?
"Why not taking it?" Boomerang continued, "Our coalition, that way it would have more chances surviving."
"For one, I don't really care about it." Daisy sighed, "Just get me, I want the money."
Boomerang closed his eyes, "Fine."
Boomerang: She has made up her choice, and I am going to respect that.
"Daisy has been captured." The audio came through.
Toadiko looked up in the sky, "That's one."
"Two more to go." Junior stated, "Should we split up?"
"No, don't leave me!" Toadiko complained.
Junior sighed, "I don't know if you think about it, but your physical ability isn't the best around, no offence, you are pretty smart."
"Thanks… I know that I always lag the team down during physical challenges, go ahead, I'll catch up." Toadiko decided.
Junior smiled before running ahead.
"Quick, Rosalina!" Paratroopa and Rosalina ran behind her to another pathway.
Toadiko spun around, "Huh? Junior, they are here!"
Toadiko: Darn it! I know that they are trying to pull a trick, but this one is plain dirty. Sneaking behind me? You will not lose me without a chase… Even though I'm not confident about it at all, Junior, save me!
Junior's footsteps were heard as Toadiko chased after Paratroopa and Rosalina.
Rosalina struggled to make a decision. "Are you sure that we should keep on running?"
"Yes, go! It's one of the only chances in the game!" Paratroopa encouraged her.
Rosalina: Then the thought came into my mind, maybe it is time for an exemption, I will be selfish instead of selfless for once. I wanted to secure my spot in the final five, and this is the chance to do so. But I do here vow, I will not do it again.
"Ugh, I lost them!" Toadiko grumbled in defeat as Junior caught up.
"Very well, let us be off." Rosalina continued to walk on.
Paratroopa looked at her, confused, "Aren't you going to be the team player?"
"I will accept the offer and be selfish for once, however I swear it will never happen again, now, let us go ahead." Rosalina began leading the way.
Paratroopa: Err… She's just suspicious, if you would ask me. She switched from one to another in an amount of time so short that I couldn't even believe how quick she made her decision. A perfect Mole sabotage, wouldn't you say so?
Boomerang wondered around, not knowing where the two other exemption players could be hiding.
Boomerang: It isn't very surprising how Para decided to go for the exemption, however I was more surprised at Rosalina, she don't seem like the selfish type, does she? I think she might be hiding something under her mask this whole time.
After he passed the area, Paratroopa whispered to Rosalina okay as they sneakily went behind him without him noticing.
Paratroopa: Damn, we're good at this.
"This is hopeless." Junior plopped onto the ground, sighing. "It's been 20 minutes at least already and we didn't spot them once after they have gone missing again."
"Yeah, this is pretty much hopeless." Toadiko also sat down.
Then that's when Paratroopa and Rosalina zoomed right in front of them, closely followed by Boomerang, "What are you two doing?!" Boomerang shouted angrily.
"I stand corrected." Toadiko stated, "Let's go!"
Toadiko: Junior and I might share a laugh at this situation. However the two people that we are hunting each worth 10000 coins now, would I let this chance go? No, it would also be a disadvantage for me if I let them go.
Paratroopa and Rosalina ran at their fastest speed, "Only 1 minute left, keep on going!" Paratroopa shouted.
Rosalina nodded as she panted, "I'm not used to this!"
Rosalina: The two of us are escaping from all three cops at once, we have been doing quite a good job so far, and I don't want to ruin it now.
Boomerang gritted his teeth, "Guys, quick!"
"Right behind you!" Junior screamed.
Toadiko was nowhere to be seen.
Junior: And she fell behind… Again, she's hopeless at physical activities.
"Paratroopa, Rosalina, you two has successfully avoided the cops for 30 minutes. You have both earned an exemption for yourselves." The audio came through.
Paratroopa and Rosalina cheered as the two cops plus Toadiko who caught up after a minute was whining a bit at their loss.
Monty was in the hotel, the players all standing in front of him. "Let me review this mission. Paratroopa and Rosalina, these are yours, however, it did come at a cost for 20000 coins. Do you two have an excuse for taking these exemptions?"
"Yes, Boo, my prime suspect has been executed last episode, and now I'm not a bit confident in myself." Paratroopa stated.
Rosalina concurred, "I'm not very certain with my choices either, but I do promise this will be the only time I will sacrifice money from the pot in order to earn an exemption for myself."
"Very well," Monty nodded, "Since Daisy was caught, 10000 coins will be added into the pot, you have finally reached the 100000 coin mark!" He congratulated them as they half-cheered.
Daisy: I know for sure that if Rosie and Paratroopa decided to not take the exemption, they will make up richer, but what's done is what's done, I can't change it, neither can they.

"Tonight, the dreaded fifth execution will commence outside next to the maze after the dinner, one of you will leave the game tonight, in one way or another." Monty smiled before going away.
Junior: His sentence has got me raising an eyebrow, I literally had no idea what he meant by his words. Gee, Monty's speech is already pretty weird, now it's even weirder.
After the dinner, all players had to face the 10 question quiz, one of them shall be executed that night, all basing on this simple quiz.
Rosalina sat strongly before the laptop, carefully going through her selections.

I had no chance to change my suspects, but Toadiko has risen by another margin, because this episode was quite physical based, and her performance was once again, unacceptable.

Boomerang took a shaky breath as he clicked on an answer.

Boomerang: I'm not suited for a brain game like this in my opinion, but I do know that I suspect Junior the most. I have heard from Daisy that he was ridiculous during Cell Escape, which is sabotage there, plainly for people to get.

Daisy: Rosie is a suspect I won't let go. Her decision to go for the exemption has removed 10000 coins from the pot. I do suspect her a lot for that, since I don't think she would go for it at first, but clearly, she did.
Toadiko went onto her quiz with uncertainty, knowing she's not safe this time.

Toadiko: Paratroopa and Rosalina were so sneaky during Maze Hunt that I feel like that I failed my part worse than I thought I did. It was a bit of a letdown for me, but I'm not going to give up, he's still my suspect.
Junior bit his lips in thought as he clicked on an answer.

The cool breeze was making the players cold outside the maze, everyone came in with jackets or sweaters. Monty was still in his cheerful self, as always. "Players, I welcome to your fifth execution, the cold hearted Mole will take away another player's life in this game under this cold, windy night. But for today, you don't have to fall victim to the Mole, instead, to yourself." From under his table, he took out a briefcase. "Here is 20000 coins, you can take these and go home tonight instead of facing a red screen. Paratroopa and Rosalina, you can even take it, it's a nice thing to take home when you don't really want to play anymore or when you are losing confidence. Just stop me anytime during the execution, and this offer will only be up this once. Good luck to you all."
Toadiko: Before my eyes are that briefcase, just an okay will get me that money. It's so close that I can stretch my hand, but is this worth the price of my game? I can get execution tonight, next episode, anytime, my odds of winning the game isn't good.
"Paratroopa, please bring me your exemption." Monty commanded, Paratroop handed his card to Monty, who slid in inside the card slot. The koopa glanced at the briefcase within his reach as he waited for the screen to turn green, knowing he can walk away with that instead of nothing if he wishes to.

The space princess went over to Monty, hesitating on the bribe as she handed Monty her lovely green card.
Rosalina: I know that I'm safe tonight, but I'm not confident for the next few days, neither are the others, so I think maybe it wouldn't worth it, but would it really?

Junior: I don't know, I want the final pot, but this doesn't look half bad. Although I'm not really lacking money, I really want to make it further, however this is a very smart choice too. I have no idea what to do now.

"Are you sure?" Monty looked at them.
The person nodded, "Yes, I am very certain about my choice."
"Very well, let's see your quiz results for tonight before we head off, you might have made the right choice." Monty grinned and let the person see their results.

"I'm not very confident for this game and I never will be, let's go. Good luck everyone, the Mole, you never got me." Boomerang gave everyone a thumbs-up before heading out with his bag.
"Wow…" Was all Daisy could mutter, "Toadiko and I are the only ones left, who could get the boot?"
Toadiko shook her head, "I am very glad that Boomerang took the bribe, thank you so much, I was having a heart attack there."
"But whatever he thinks, he will be missed." Rosalina said sadly.
(Flashback of Boomerang uncovered as the thief)
Junior sighed, "He made a smart choice, and he never fall victim to the Mole."
(Flashback of Boomerang wearing the ball and the chain)
"He will be missed greatly among the group." Paratroopa concluded.
Boomerang boarded the small plane ready to take him home, "Boomerang, are you regretting the choice that you took the bribe?" Monty questioned.
Boomerang shook his head, "It's more like a smart choice for me, probably the smartest move I've made for the entire game."
"Very well, what is the favorite moment?" Monty smiled.
Boomerang hesitated. "Well… Maybe the physical challenges, I love them."
"Alright, Boomerang, I wish you a great trip and you will be missed." Monty waved him goodbye.
"See ya Monty!" Boomerang waved back before heading onto the plane.
Boomerang is out of the game, one way or another.

The players get to reunite with their families for this episode only, happiness, right?
"Where is he?" Rosalina panicked.
Everyone is enjoying sushi! Have a nice meal, everybody!
Paratroopa stuffed another sushi into his mouth, "Quick, that one is about to fall off!"
Everyone has to catch a horse carriage within the time limit at different locations, will they do it?
Daisy tried to run after the monty mole in charge of the carriage, "Hey, may I get on? Pretty please?"
Another person will fall victim to the red screen this time, for real.
