Chapter 24: Tasty Sushi

As the title might suggest, this is a challenge involving food, and I am dying to write about this one because it is going to be G-R-E-A-T! Enjoy people and happy Mole hunting!

Toady: I thought it's fun to have Peach as Junior's relative, I mean, I think there should be more fics involving their relationship. XD Rosalina could be purposely trying to sabotage, however she does not seem to be the type to like places like stadiums to me. XD

"Oh my god, what a fancy restaurant!" Daisy laughed with glee as they arrived at a Japanese restaurant.

Daisy: Usually, I do not have any good comments about fancy restaurants. However, it is a lovely place to be in! I bet I sound like Rosie or Peach right now, I guess? Nevertheless, if we are in a restaurant, I fear for our so-called 'mission' right now.

Junior growled a bit. "You know, I haven't had any breakfast like Monty told me to, let's have something good for today's lunch."

"Something good." Toadiko repeated, "I hope so too."

Toadiko: If this challenge required eating a lot, do not depend on me at all. I am dead serious about that, I am not a big eater at all.

"Oh my, this will be the first time witnessing a challenge live!" Peach clapped her hands together.

Paratroopa sighed, "If you ever compete in these challenges, you will know what's gonna happen then. It's not fun all the time."

"Indeed! This mission is called 'Sushi Route'!" Monty jumped as everyone suddenly jumped a bit.

Paratroopa: The loved ones of everyone's are not exactly getting the point. I think this game is torturing us sometimes, but not that bad in my opinion. Just look at that name of the mission and how Monty arrived, it is a heart attack.

"Now, as you may have guessed, this restaurant has a sushi route, but we broke it off." Monty made a gesture towards the sushi route, which is from the chef's window to a bin. The conveyer belt is about 20 meters long and is in a curvy shape. "Welcome to lunch, players, first, I'll talk about the loved ones' lunches." He pointed to a table in the corner. "The loved ones will be ordering and having their lunches there. Take your time, because we have 1 hour for your meal. For the players, different types of sushi are going to appear from the chef's window onto the conveyer belt. Your mission is to not letting a single sushi fall into the trashcan at the end of it. Including the plates. Any traces of sushi on the table will automatically disqualify you as well. However, as you might have guessed, you have to keep it up for 1 hour straight. If you are successful, 30000 coins will be added into the pot."

Junior: 30000 coins! That is huge! I say that we work at our hardest for this mission and let the money into our pot. Since this will really raise our pot by a heap. If every mission is like this from now on, I love this game.

The loved ones sat down at the table, told not to be able to help the players eating but could remind them about plates that are going to fall off.

"I reckon we should split up and eat everything we could." Junior suggested.

Rosalina shook her head. "As you can see, there are big eaters in the room, while some aren't. Like me and Toadiko, for example."

Rosalina: I tried to bring up Toadiko's name because then if she is the Mole, which I believe she is, she will have pressure and maybe not sabotage. However, since this challenge is one of the hardest in some ways, I guess it is easy to say that everyone will have difficulty.

"I'm ready for it!" Junior smiled as he ran down to the front of the chef's window.

Daisy scratched her head. "I feel like we are playing that tower game right now with us destroying the enemies."

"Good luck guys!" Luigi cheered from the side, followed by the other loved ones before ordering their own food.

Monty smiled as he sat on a separate table, his own lunch in front of him. "Ready players? The challenge begins now."

As if on cue, which it is, a plate of sushi came out.

"Eww, cucumber." Junior swatted it away.

Daisy took it and chomped it down. "Stop being picky! We must eat as much as possible for this!"

Daisy: It is unbelievably sad how Junior is not taking anything he likes. I know that he is a bit fussy with food. It definitely is not the possible scenario if he does not eat anything, which will surely result in a loss for us.

Paratroopa took an avocado one as he stuffed it inside his mouth. "Quite good." He commented.

"I feel like that the speed is getting faster. Not to mention that I'm starting to get full." Toadiko sighed.

Junior bit another sushi. "Stop talking, more eating!"

"Yes dad." Toadiko rolled her eyes sarcastically before grabbing a plate.

Rosalina stuffed one inside her mouth. "It's true, it is getting faster."

"How long do we still have left?!" Daisy screamed practically as she kept on stuffing sushi into her mouth.

Luigi checked his watch. "About 40 minutes, I guess."

"This is much better than watching back at home. I love live TV!" Parakoopa grinned.

Paratroopa glared at him. "This is what we get when loved ones comes?"

"I think they are just enjoying." Daisy concluded.

Paratroopa sighed. "I was being sarcastic."

"Oh." Daisy realized.

Junior and Toadiko were seen stuffing food into their mouths.

Junior: Our loved ones are watching this as a comedy show to me. But I don't care. We want the money, so we are eating. I see that Toadiko was with me on eating everything we sees, that's good, but one thing I could say though is that we are slowly getting full. Not to mention that the speed is getting faster.

Rosalina sighed. "Let us return to the work, everyone."

"Good idea." Daisy and Paratroopa went back to the food.

Toadiko choked as she coughed. "Need a cup of water?" Toadbert asked from the side.

"It's allowed." Monty smiled.

Toadiko laughed in a way that she is being on her last straw. "Next time, tell us earlier." Toadbert then went back to get a cup of water for Toadiko.

"Oh my god, this is much easier." Daisy admitted as she put down her bottle of water, Luigi was patting her back as she tried to get the sushi completely into her stomach.

Paratroopa stuffed another sushi into his mouth, "Quick, that one is about to fall off!"

Junior quickly grabbed the sushi in question. "Good thing you reminded us about it."

"Oh my god, this is so good!" Daisy suddenly realized the latest sushi is made out of her favorite type.

Rosalina stared at her in horror. "I thought only boys have unlimited stomachs?"

"Not for her." Luigi smiled as everyone on the loved ones shared a quick laugh.

Paratroopa stuffed a sushi inside his mouth. "Oh my god, you guys should do this for us."

Paratroopa: Some people like Rosalina and Toadiko are having troubles in this mission. The loved ones are watching and laughing, I have no problems with that, but I doubt if it would be the same if they were the ones eating. My stomach is so full that it's hurting now!

Toadiko: I was looking at Daisy, and oh my god, I never thought that someone could be wolfing down any sort of food like she is doing. Look at her, she's telling everyone to leave them all for her and she's eating them at superwomen speed. Her stomach is so big that mine is nothing compared to hers.

"Oh, this one tastes like s***" Junior swore as the newest ones came.

Rosalina suddenly felt the urge to throw up. "Spoiled fish, this is disgusting."

"Delicious!" Daisy stuffed the sushi into her mouth.

Rosalina: You have got to be kidding me. This is spoiled fish, yes, it is spoiled fish. How does she manage to eat all of them? Either that she likes spoiled fish or that her tasting sense is not working one bit.

Paratroopa sighed. "How in the world?"

"I don't know." Junior concluded.

Daisy: I'm the superwoman of the challenge! Haha! I know that I like fish. I don't care if it's spoiled for anything, but it is really good that we actually have food to eat. Imagine what it would be like if we were left without food, I'm actually grateful.

"Only 20 minutes left." Monty smiled as he checked his watch.

Toadiko smiled. "Finally it's the end!"

"Are you sure?" Every raised an eyebrow at Monty's remark before realizing that the final 20 minutes will be full of all types of disgusting things mixed together.

Daisy jumped in excitement. "More food!" She ran into the conveyer belt with joy in her words.

"Obviously, the producers cannot stop her under any conditions." Peach sighed from the side as the other loved ones agreed with her.

Paratroopa: Do we even need to do anything else? Daisy is literally shoving all things that were served down her throat. What's gonna happen next? Her stomach explode or something?

"Her stomach will explode after this." Paratroopa shook his head as he took a drink of water.

Junior picked out a nice plate of sushi and began eating. "I know right? Her stomach is bigger than all of ours combined."

"I agree with that, and she's not even the biggest one here." Toadiko concurred as she ate a sushi she liked.

Rosalina struggled to eat more as she took another drink of water. "Sorry everyone, but I don't think I can go on."

Toadiko: Rosalina is an absolute joke. We have all survived the food for about 45 to 50 minutes now and no one is yelling about anything. Except for her, of course. She had been saying that she couldn't eat too much more and she never decided to eat after this.

"Whatever," Toadiko rolled her eyes sarcastically, "With Daisy on our side, no one could sabotage."

"I completely agree with that." Paratroopa concluded.

Paratroopa: I was wondering throughout the challenge that if we actually left Daisy by herself, could she actually win this challenge singlehandedly? Then again, I doubt it if she could eat this much sushi.

"5 minutes left." Monty advised from the side.

Daisy continued to munch down sushi.

"Aren't you full in any way?" Junior pointed out.

Daisy shook her head. "Leave some more for me! Daisy is coming for you, sushi!"

Junior sighed and face-palmed.

Junior: This is ridiculous, if another food challenge comes up, we might just as well as leave Daisy on her own for this.

"Stop!" Monty called, "You guys are amazing during this challenge! No traces of sushi, nothing in the bin, so 30000 coins goes into the pot!"

"Thanks Daisy!" Toadiko acknowledged Daisy the most for this challenge as she hugged her.

Daisy: Being the heroine for this challenge was pretty good. I could eat a lot normally, but I usually don't do it. However if I am forced to, I will eat like there's no tomorrow, just like I showed just then.

Team Pot:

154000 Coins

"Come on, Mole, we are skyrocketing lately!" Paratroopa cheered.

Rosalina: I couldn't help but to gasp as Monty informed us of our newest amount of coins inside the pot. It's amazing how we are already on board for the 200000 coin mark. Just with these two missions this episode… we brought the pot up by the amount we brought into the pot in the first episode, twice as much, I could say.

Toadiko sat down at a chair at the side. "Finally this is over, do we get a break now, Monty?"

"Yep, there's going to be a challenge tomorrow in the morning!" Monty cheerfully replied as most of the players groined.

Toadiko: Yay, at least we don't have to do anything for this afternoon. I don't think I can run for at least 5 hours now, considering how much sushi I just ate. I'm more worried about Daisy though, she really needs a break.

Daisy happily jumped. "Sweet! C'mon Luigi, let's go and have a practice of baseball! Anyone else that wants to tag along, meet us at the Mario Stadium!" With that, she dragged Luigi and ran out of the place.

Toadiko: I stand corrected.

"Good day to you, Daisy." Polari laughed as he and Rosalina walked into the stadium, where Daisy and Luigi are playing ball.

Rosalina laughed lightly. "I thought it would be nice to see baseball once in a while. I never knew how to play baseball."

"It's really easy!" Daisy replied as she waved to them. "You throw it and hit it then run!"

Rosalina looked confused. "I doubt if it is actually like that…"

"Baseball is fun! Here, I'll teach you!" Daisy laughed as she dragged Rosalina onto the court.

Luigi smiled, "Sorry, she's a bit out of control."

"Is she high on sugar?" Rosalina inquired.

Luigi shook his head.

"Strange, I guess she is hyper by default." Rosalina sighed but accepted Daisy's offer to teach her anyways.

Paratroopa and Parakoopa hopped into the hotel lobby, where the others are having a conversation.

"Hello there Paratroopa, Parakoopa." Peach smiled as she greeted them.

Toadiko didn't look up from her magazine. "How is Daisy's little group going? I heard that Rosalina went to check on her."

"I think she will be dragged into Daisy's sporting activities." Paratroopa admitted, "She's Daisy after all."

"I don't get this." Parakoopa said plainly.

Junior sighed. "You haven't been living with these people for a few weeks now, so I don't blame you."

"Does anyone want to join them for a little baseball activity?" Peach asked as she sipped her tea.

Toadiko shook her head as she closed her magazine. "No thanks, I don't want to be dragged in either."

"Come on, I think we could manage with some workout after this meal." Junior agreed with Peach, "Especially after how we were force-fed that much food."

Paratroopa rolled his eyes. "I wouldn't use force-fed, I would use ask to eat."

"Yeah, it was optional." Parakoopa yawned as he agreed with his older sibling.

Toadbert closed his book. "By boogity! Money was on stake, 30000 coins."

"I do agree. I'm glad we got it though, I don't want to eat all that for nothing." Toadiko deadpanned as she put her magazine back as Toadbert packed his book up.

"Siblings are siblings." Junior commented as the paratroopas almost fell asleep and the toads started getting new books.

Peach smiled, "Well Junior, mind for a practice tennis match at the hotel tennis court?"

"You're in!" Junior cheered.

Everyone was having breakfast in the breakfast buffet the next morning, waiting for Monty Mole's arrival.

"Is it just me or does anyone else feels like that Monty is going to pop up from nowhere again?" Parakoopa brought up.

Luigi shuddered, "I would hate it if anyone creeps up to me."

"Sadly, that's everything in this game. If you want to be a player honey, you have to get used to it." Daisy applied some butter onto her toast.

Polari yawned, "I don't think anyone had too much dinner last night, so I think we should all have a big breakfast."

"I'll pass," Junior nearly fell asleep in his cereal. "Last night was so tiring that I could barely eat because of the sushi and I could barely walk because of my sore legs."

Peach rolled her eyes, "I agree with you, I shouldn't have dragged you out for that tennis match."

"Nah, it's alright." Her adoptive son replied.

Daisy suddenly slammed her hands on the table, causing milk to splash into Junior's face. "Did I just miss out on tennis, out of everything?!"

"Yes, you did." Toadiko deadpanned as she handed Junior a cloth to wipe his face, how all woken up. "But you were in the stadium at that time."

Daisy smiled, "Ha! Rosie could barely even lift the bat!"

"Watch your mouth, please." Rosalina sighed lightly as she sliced her pancakes.

Polari sighed with her. "I do agree, milady isn't the strongest around, but that didn't leave you with anything to joke about, young lady."

"By boogity! This is getting awkward." Toadbert decided as Toadiko decided to try to calm Daisy down now. "We should be happier at times like this."

"Even more awkward." Parakoopa deadpanned.

Paratroopa nodded, "I agree, bro."

"Then again, we should be happier. It's a game, isn't it?" Junior suggested as he casted a glare to Daisy, who knew she was responsible for his grumpiness.

Monty suddenly popped up at the head of the table. "Yes, we definitely should try to be happier at times like this!"

Toadiko suddenly started coughing as she choked on her orange juice.

"PFFT!" Paratroopa spat all of the soda in his mouth onto Rosalina's face by accident, "I'm so sorry!" He apologized as he tried to wipe the soda away from his lips.

Rosalina tried to smile as Polari looked stunned while handing her a towel. "Don't worry, it always happens."

Rosalina: There we go again, all the way back to episode 4 when Boomerang spat juice on my face, now Paratroopa with soda?

"This is actually kind of sad that we are having these troubles." Parakoopa concluded.

"Grumbi! Now I'm all woken up!" Luigi snapped awake as Daisy laughed at him.

Monty looked confused, "I don't get what the big fuss is. Now, does anyone want a challenge?" He asked everyone, changing the subject completely.

Everyone looked at him in confusion and interest as he put 5 books down.

Treasure Hunt

Silent Maid

Teaching Problems

Science Facts

Increasing Security

Junior: All of these books… They are references to the executed players who have left us already…

"Yes, this challenge is partly about the executed players. Welcome to the final mission of the sixth episode, Horse Carriage." Monty smiled.

Yes! I have once again reached the 3000 word mark! I'm not getting too lousy now! The next mission, I could tell you now, that the executed players will NOT come back for it. But there are references to their occupations as it said there. It's going to be fun, don't tune away!
