"… What do you mean?" Toadiko asked, very confused with the mission.

"This mission is called 'Horse Carriage'." Monty repeated, "Would you like me to explain it?"

Daisy gritted her teeth. "Duh!"

"Alright," Monty eyed the books. "Each of you will take a book and read through it, there is a line in each of these books spoken by one of the players. It could be publically or privately with another player. If you think you found the page with the quote, rip that page out and hand it to me. If it is correct, I will give you a ticket, and then you have to go to that place and board the carriage. The boarding passes are at different stations and different times. As the elimination order goes, Waluigi's ticket will be first, Dixie second, Birdo third and so forth. If all five of you are on board when the carriage comes to the dock, I will add 25000 coins into the pot. However, if even one of you is missing, this challenge will be considered a lost. The loved ones are not allowed to help you at any stage of the game. Please assign yourself to a book each."

Rosalina: The concept of this mission is quite complicated. However, if you look at us individually, our main missions are to find a line spoken by a player throughout the game and rip that page out. Hand it to Monty, if that is correct, then we will be handed a ticket. We have to board that carriage in time at the right place. Not a single one of us can miss their ride, otherwise it would be considered a fail.

"I'll take Birdo's." Rosalina volunteered as she grabbed the book.

Paratroopa took Dixie's. "I'll take this then."

"Anyone mind if I take Boomerang's?" Daisy asked as everyone shook their head, "Thanks."

Toadiko: These three are hopeless in covering up their coalitions. It is very obvious that they took these because they know more about the person than anyone else. Oh well, I might as well as take Boo's, following the trend.

"May I have Boo's? You were together with Waluigi during the baggage mission, I remember." Toadiko offered to Junior, who shrugged carelessly as they took their books.

Monty smiled, "Now, please go ahead."

Daisy: I think that the quote would be a memorable quote, and the mission that Boomerang really stood out in was the thief mission. Let's see if there is a quote that has something to do with it.

"The treasure hunter…" Junior flipped through the pages, trying to locate the occupation of Waluigi's.

Junior: Waluigi is a treasure hunter, so I guess his quote could be something to do with his occupation. I mean, the book titles spoke for who they are referring to because of the occupations we located in the title. So my bet is that the occupation has something to do with this quote as well. However, Waluigi was the first player to go, which means that I don't have too much time to use.

Toadiko bit her nails as she flipped through the pages. Trying to locate a quote that was spoken by Boo at some stage during the game.

Toadiko: I don't know… I think I spent the most time with Boo out of the entire group, but one thing for sure is that I never really paid any attention to what he said. Each of these books is at least 150 pages each. So I have no idea which page could the quote be located at.

"Where could a quote be?" Junior wondered aloud.

Rosalina peeked over her book. "Well, I think that paragraph over there seemed to have a line that I recall Waluigi saying." She motioned for Junior to look at a paragraph.

Rosalina: Monty never said that other players can't help, so why not? Besides, I've already spotted the quote. That was the one where Waluigi tried to flirt with me on the first day. I assume.

Junior decided to read the paragraph out aloud.

The treasure hunter never hesitated to ask the beautiful woman out. "Oh come on, let's go to the café!" He joyously told her.

The mysterious woman returned his word with a harsh slap. "Never shall I head out with a peasant like you!"

"Yep, sounds like it." Junior concluded.

Rosalina rolled her eyes, "I doubt if that was the actual words I used there…"

"Anyways, moving on." Junior ripped the page off without warning. "Monty could this be it?"

"Page 37… That is correct!" Monty smiled as he handed Junior a ticket.

Junior jumped as he saw the time. "Crap! It's in front of the Ferris Wheel in Yoshi Park!"

"When is it?" Peach asked from the side, turning her attention from her conversation with the loved ones.

"In 10 minutes." Junior responded before running out.

Paratroopa bit his lip. "I should get working as well... Err… Bro, does this look like it to you?" He showed a paragraph to Parakoopa.

The silent maid waited quietly as usual, keeping her posture.

"Household! I need you this instant!" Her employer called for her.

Without any words, the maid rushed to the side of her dying employer.

"I should have hired a better household than this one, you never say a word!" He yelled harshly in the girl's face.

The girl tried to speak, but being mute did not help her in her attempt to.

"What? What did you say?" The employer asked, but suddenly grabbed his throat. "AH! Aren't you supposed to be mute?"

Alone in the house, the maid that was thought to be silent opened her mouth as she broke into a cackle. "Sorry Mr. Sailar, but I am here for revenge. This lovely 'thing' that I put inside your tea is just a start of your torture."

"W-What?" He shuttered as he coughed out blood.

"Don't worry, you'll live." The maid giggled. "I am none but a traitor to everyone who hires me. Since we are alone, maybe we should have a small killing session."

"Please! No!" The owner of the mansion begged for his life.

The maid only giggled cutely. "Aww… It's really fun!"

Screams ran out of the house as the silent maid posted another job offer on the announcement board the next morning. Singing to a song to entertain herself.

However, she will never know that her next employer will let her know what she desires and what her mask of being mute shall be shattered into pieces.

"Ugh," Parakoopa shuddered, "Bro, you know that I'm afraid of horror stories."

Paratroopa ripped the page out. "Yep, this is correct." Monty handed him a ticket.

"Hey, where is this again?" Paratroopa asked Parakoopa, who looked confused at the ticket.

"I think it was the shop in Wario City, you know, the one that Goomba owns?" Parakoopa suggested.

Paratroopa snapped into a smile as he realized. "Thanks!" He rushed out.

"I'm next, right?" Rosalina inquired.

Daisy nodded, "Yep, you're next Rosie."

"Oh, could this passage be it?" Rosalina wondered as she showed everyone a page. "I think this is from what Birdo said during the costume mission."

The teacher practically ripped some of her hair out. "What are you boys doing?"

Seeing their teacher's suspicions, the boys quickly hid what they were using.

However the teacher never stopped, she walked straight into the trap the boys set up as a blast of cold air flushed into her face. "Please give me an explanation for this prank." The teacher raged.

The two boys looked very scared as the teacher grabbed their hair and dragged them out.

"My, oh my," Polari gasped from the side. "These stories are very wide-ranged."

"Yeah, but I think that's the quote, right?" Toadiko rolled her eyes.

Monty smiled as Rosalina handed him her paper. "This one is correct, here's your ticket Rosalina."

Rosalina accepted her ticket with grace as she walked out towards the mushroom garden in Peach Ice Garden.

Rosalina: This mission seemed very simple. But also very easy to sabotage. If you want to ask why, you should've paid more attention to the rules.

Toadiko ripped out a page. "What did you do that for?" Daisy asked.

"I think I found it." Toadiko answered.

Daisy rolled her eyes, "Maybe read it out to me first?"

Toadiko cleared her throat and begun.

Day 54:

The scientist was so mad at his teammates. They are slacking off all day long. "Hey! We are here for a mission!" He constantly reminded everyone, but no one listened.

Enraged, he went into the tunnel himself, and was surprised to find a chest in there.

Although this has nothing to do with science, he found coins in there and he lived a rich life happily ever after.

END

"Wow, worst book ever." Daisy commented.

Daisy: I literally can't find any word that is good that could describe this book… It's quite entertaining in some ways, I guess. But since this is day 54, are the days before better than this? Why am I even talking about the book instead of something else right now? I'm confused.

Toadiko handed the page to Monty, who exchanged it with a ticket.

Daisy gasped as Toadiko turned back, stopped in her tracks to go out. "Do you think this is it?" Daisy raised her book to let Toadiko to have a better look at a paragraph.

"How did it go? I mean, last night of course." The head security questioned his coworkers as they responded with 'good' or 'perfect' at his new plan. "Then I guess this one could work?"

"Not really," Someone told him, "This one is very tiring. You are correct on that it is very secure, but half of us are so sleepy right now because we are taking shifts last night without too much sleep!

Another nodded their head in agreement. "It's good, but I hate how I sleep for half an hour, take a 10 minute watch then go for another 30 minutes of sleep."

"Hmm… We definitely need to improve then." The head security concluded.

"Yeah, that could be it." Toadiko said, "Show it to Monty."

After Monty handed Daisy a ticket of her own, the girls went off. Toadiko went to the cannon in DK Jungle while Daisy headed off into the stadium in Mario Stadium.

Daisy tried to run after the monty mole in charge of the carriage, "Hey, may I get on? Pretty please?" The monty mole took her pass and let her onto the carriage, marked with 12138. "Hmm? Since I'm the last one to board, is this everyone?"

Daisy: I am the final one to board, so I don't think anyone else is coming. We all solved our questions in time, but… Isn't someone missing?

"Hey, where's Junior?" Daisy asked in suspicion.

Rosalina tilted her head, "Strange, he was here a moment ago."

"Sorry, I had to use the bathroom." Junior smiled as he came back up, revealing the fact that the carriage does have a bathroom.

Toadiko: That means… We got the money, yes!

"Congratulations, you have won 25000 coins for the pot!" Monty announced as everyone stepped off. "However, one of you broke a rule in this challenge, but I will not reveal it. It is recorded though, so I will subtract 5000 coins from the pot."

Daisy jumped, "Who did the cheating thing?"

"I don't know." Junior confessed, "Everyone was kind of scrambled up during the challenge."

"But look on the bright side," Paratroopa started, "We still earned 20000 coins for the pot, right?"

Rosalina nodded, "Yes, I think that is definitely true."

Team Pot:

174000 Coins

Rosalina: I would consider that this episode is one of the most successful episodes we've ever had. Since we have won 50000 coins throughout the last two missions. The first mission for the episode didn't go badly either. We still got most of the coins.

Paratroopa: I'd love to think that this episode has earned us more than before. I've thought that I'm only a few steps away from that pot, right in front of my eyes. But it's so hard to get, it's going to be a dream come true if I get it.

Monty smiled, "Players, spend some time with your loved ones, because tonight, someone will be heading home. Under the Mole's grasp this time." With that, he went away, leaving the players alone.

"Mmmph, this is good." Daisy wolfed down another piece of meat.

Toadiko: None of us are joking when we say that Daisy can eat almost anything… Well, she does. You do not want to get into the way of a wolf having a meal when you don't need to, right? That's only getting troubles for yourself.

"By the way," Rosalina started, "I think it would be good if we appreciate the loved ones' company. We have been taking it for granted."

Polari smiled, "No, milady, you don't have to."

"I think it's a good idea." Toadiko agreed, "I mean, someone will go home tonight with their loved one, but for the others, it's going to be a bit painful."

"With Parakoopa with me, I felt like that I am actually back at my house." Paratroopa laughed, "I hope that we get to have them around for longer, but rules are rules."

Junior raised his glass, "Best of luck to everyone on the quiz."

"Cheers!" Everyone raised their glasses together.

No exemptions were offered this episode, so everyone is eligible for execution tonight. Knowing that, Junior looked into his laptop screen in thought. Adjusting his glasses every now and then to have a better look at the questions.

Q1. Is the Mole male or female?

Male

Female

Junior: Lately, my prime suspect Daisy wasn't doing much suspicious things around. I've doubted by decisions for a while by now, but there had to be a reason for me to be staying here. The coalition with Toadiko definitely helped. However, anything could happen in a Mole game. I've witnessed Boomerang's elimination before, so I believe that.

Q2. Which stadium did the Mole visit during Family Watch-Out?

Mario Stadium

Peach Ice Garden

Yoshi Park

Wario City

DK Jungle

Toadiko puffed her cheeks up as she scanned through the possible answered for the question she was given. Hesitating, she clicked on an answer.

Q3. Who did the Mole have to find during Family Watch-Out?

Peach

Polari

Parakoopa

Luigi

Toadbert

Toadiko: Paratroopa had been a very fishy player of the season. He was out of the way for most of the suspicious moments, and I suspected him for that. I could very well be wrong and be executed tonight though. I should be prepared for anything at this stage of the game.

Q4. Was the Mole successful in Family Watch-Out?

Yes

No

Paratroopa was blown away at the next question. He had no idea as he decided to guess the answer.

Q5. How many plates of sushi did the Mole eat during Sushi Route?

1 – 10

11 – 20

21 – 30

31 – 40

41 – 50

Paratroopa: I have to say that Junior had been a suspect right now, same with Rosalina. They are both smart players, but behave in entirely different ways. Junior could get away with anything easily to me and Rosalina is pretty smart, a good choice for a Mole, if you would like to ask me.

Q6. Whose book did the Mole pick during House Carriage?

Waluigi

Dixie

Birdo

Boo

Boomerang

Daisy raised an eyebrow at the question she was tasked to answer. But being confident in whom she suspects, she made a choice.

Q7. Did the Mole exercise after the sushi lunch yesterday?

Yes

No

Daisy: Rosie has been a very high suspect of mine since day 1. She always has this mysterious aura around her whenever she talks or shows up to somewhere. It makes be believe that she isn't a genuine player.

Q8. What is the relationship between the Mole and their loved one?

Adoptive Mother

Sibling

Boyfriend

Adviser

Rosalina focused on the quiz as she moved her mouth around, determined to get to the next stage of the game.

Q9. Did the Mole sit next to their loved one during dinner?

Yes

No

Rosalina: Toadiko never once passed off my eye as a Mole suspect. She always seemed to sabotage and manage to cover it up in one way or another every time. A perfect example would be when she was having troubles with the bike way back in episode 2.

Q10. Who is the Mole?

Daisy

Junior

Paratroopa

Rosalina

Toadiko

Everyone was surprised to see that the boat has already departed into the sea. There is a smaller ferry that has a red tint on it, showing that this player has been executed. All the loved ones sat beside the players on the 5 family couches available for people to sit on. "Welcome to your sixth execution. You have all survived 5 executions already and outlasted half of the other players." Monty told them. "Tonight, I will enter your name into the screen, if a green screen appears, your performance was acceptable and you move onto the next round of the game. If the screen turns red, however, you are the Mole's sixth victim. You have to leave the game immediately with your loved one. Tonight, no one tied on the quiz. So is everyone ready?" Seeing nods, Monty smiled. "Do I have any volunteers?"

Junior raised his hand almost as soon as Monty finished, scared of his quiz results. Peach laughed lightly beside him as she watched Monty typing the characters of his name in one by one.

Junior's jaw dropped as he discovered that he will be moving onto the next episode.

Paratroopa raise his hand. His brother looked at him with curiosity as Monty proceeded to enter his name without a word.

Paratroopa sighed in relief as the light lighted a pound on his chest.

"Toadiko." Seeing no other volunteers, the host decided to call for a name himself.

"Oh my god!" Toadiko freaked out as Toadbert patted her on the back, congratulating her.

Monty eyed the two princesses. Finally, only one will remain after this execution. "Who would like to go first?" Monty asked.

The two looked at each other before someone nodded. "I shall go first." Rosalina bravely told him as Polari shielded his eyes from the screen. Daisy was also nervous as she and Luigi stared at the screen without even blinking.

R-O-S-A-L-I-N-A

Rosalina looked downwards, both happy and sad.

Daisy smiled, "It's alright girl. You beat me fair and square."

"You did good babe, I'm proud of you." Luigi told her and they got ready to leave.

Monty, however, decided that he will type in Daisy's name and end the execution with a drop of red.

D-A-I-S-Y

"Yeah, I expected that." Daisy laughed lightly.

Monty stood up. "I'm sorry Daisy, but you have been executed."

"I'm so surprised that I even survived this far. I'm not depressed at all, keep on rocking guys!" Daisy cheered to the others before heading off, Luigi following behind with her bag.

Rosalina lifted her head. "I can't believe this…"

"She was the hero this episode in a lot of ways. She almost single-handedly added 30000 coins into the pot." Toadiko sighed, "It's crazy how much she 'sabotaged' during the early stages of the game."

(Flashback Daisy: This is perfect, I love this taste! *Licks more ice-cream*)

"But then," Junior spoke up, "She became the heroine of the group."

(Flashback Daisy: I feel like we are playing that tower game right now with us destroying the enemies.)

"Whatever she had done, she will be missed." Rosalina sighed.

Toadiko nodded, "With only four of us left, it's time for some real games going."

Paratroopa looked at the moon through the roof window. "I guess… It's finally down to just the four of us."

"Yes, it is." Junior decided.

Daisy jumped around as she slid a jacket on, cold. "Monty, I had so much fun during the course of the game!"

"Hmm… Then may I ask about your favorite moments of the game?" Monty asked as they approached the ferry.

Daisy smiled weakly. "If I had to pick one, it would be how much fun we had. I never came for the money, and I just intended to have fun. I did, and I am happy that I could step out before all hell breaks loose." She added a laugh to the final part.

"Why would that be?" Monty questioned.

Daisy smiled as she looked upwards. "I guess… It's going to be the most intense part of the game, where the money is only a reach away from you…"

"Well, I guess it's time to say goodbye." Monty smiled as well.

Daisy hugged him, "Thank you for everything!"

"We are glad to have you as a player." Monty returned the hug before Daisy and Luigi going onto the ferry. The ferry paddled off into the ocean.

With that, Daisy has also ended her time on The Mole.

Next time on The Mole:

Oh, don't do that to the patient, that's horrible!

"Oops." Junior laughed nervously.

But then again, I don't think they are going too well with these artifacts either.

Paratroopa scratched his head. "I have no idea right now."

Here is the final exemption of the game, will anyone take it?

Rosalina looked at her options, either she crack open the green block, or she place it down to make the tower higher.

What will happen? Find out next time on The Mole: Tricky Enemy.

With that, Daisy is gone from the game! I hope you enjoyed the little chapter thingys from the books. XD Until next time!
