Across the room, Nicola sighed in annoyance and Daniel looked over at her. Along with Sam, the three of them were in their office, poring over reports from different SG teams trying to search for the missing Prometheus.

"How long until the Tok'ra can perform more long range scans?"

"It's not going well is it?" he asked her. The Prometheus was already eighteen hours over schedule for contact and a handful of teams had checked planets that could be on their route. Unfortunately, with their current information, SGC was unaware if the ship had detoured for the nebula that Sam had asked for scans of.

"At least we've narrowed down the possible area," Sam commented before pushing away the papers in front of her. Daniel had already spoken to Sam about her feelings of guilt over the status of the ship, but there was little that he could realistically do to ease her guilt. It was similar to how he still felt guilty with regards to Sarah's mental health despite the fact that he had nothing to do with her coming into contact with Osiris in the first place. There was nothing that he could have done about it, but the fact that she was still suffering internally made Daniel feel helpless. She had returned from a trip to England and had visited the University where she had last been herself, but her recovery was taking its time. After his kidnapping in Honduras, Daniel had not been able to see Sarah for longer than usual and it made him worry even more for her.

At some point, the air force, or worse, would want to question her and Daniel had to be ready for it.

"I've finished this report," Nicola said, leaning back in her chair and stretching slightly. The three of them had been working with minimal breaks since Hammond had given the order to search the possible planets. "Pass me the next one, Daniel?" Passing it over, Nicola immediately began scanning through it.

After only a few minutes, of which Daniel had not been able to focus his eyes back on the file in front of him, there was a gentle knock on the door. All three pairs of eyes went to the door and saw Major Lorne standing there with a file in his hands. "SG-11's just back from the latest planet," he said, waving the file slightly. "No sign of Prometheus, but we took some images with the high power telescopes." They hoped that in an image they might be able to see the Prometheus just outside of orbit or at least in range of the planet. "Who wants the file?"

"I'll take it," Daniel answered reaching out for the file and scanning through the pages quickly.

"Any of you guys want some dinner?" Lorne asked and Daniel shook his head, his eyes on the pages in front of him. "Do you realise what time it is?"

Cursing under her breath, Sam jumped up from her seat and Daniel looked up at her curiously. "It's gone eight! Damn it, I've missed Daniella's bed time. Again. I've got to go." Picking up the file she was in the middle of, Sam walked past everyone with a goodnight.

"What the hell," Nicola said, closing the file she had only just opened. "I am starving." She closed the file and passed it back over to Daniel. "Are you coming?"

Considering her for a moment, Daniel realised that his vision was blurring slightly from constantly looking at the images and words in front of him, but he wanted to put in a few more hours of work. "I'll give it a miss, thanks." He put her file on top of the pile.

"Don't stay too late, Daniel," Nicola warned and he forced a smile onto his face as he watched the two of them leave. It had always taken him ages to persuade her to drop work, even for food.
