Hi everyone! Thank you for all the favs, alerts, and reviews! This chapter was easy to write, and I'm slowly starting to plan out the rest of the chapters for this fanfic. If anyone has any ideas, let me know please! I'd love to incorporate people's ideas into the story.

And a few of you guessed what's going to happen in this chapter. All you have to do is read the first line of this chapter and you'll know what's going to happen. I did the same thing in Complicated just in case you're still confused as to what I'm talking about. And also, this and the next two chapters will be Parts 1-3, if that's another clue.

The title is the song name, Open Arms by Journey.

I don't own Glee. I only own the character Cory Hudson.

Enjoy!

December 1st, 2012. 11:30 AM

December rolled around shortly after Sectionals, which the New Directions almost lost. When Marley fainted on stage, they were automatically disqualified because all of the members had to be on stage for the announcement of who won. However, with the justification of several sources, the judges put them back in the competition last minute since they found out about Rachel when she had to give birth to Cory. They ended up getting first place and they we're moving on to Regionals.

"Mommy, what today?" Cory asked once he placed his block down on his tower. If he wasn't careful it was going to topple over on him.

"Today is December 1st, and guess who's coming to visit?" Rachel asked him while she put on her boots. Her ankles were really swelled up at thirty-seven weeks, and it was really hard for her to walk.

"Who?" he jumped up from the carpet and galloped over to his mom like a horse.

"Uncle Kurt!"

"I love Unka Kurt! Presents?" he questioned.

"Maybe...don't forget, Christmas is only twenty-four days away, then you'll get presents from the whole family," she explained. Cory didn't know about Jewish traditions yet, and it was best to wait until he was older to explain it.

"Ok..." he said with a pout.

"Don't get discouraged, Little Cor," she ruffled his short brown hair. It was still the same color as it was when he was born, a very dark brown. "We're going to go have lunch with him and I need to get a few more things for your baby brother. And tonight, Uncle Kurt is going to watch over you while Daddy and I go out to dinner."

"Daddy! I wanna come!" Cory exclaimed while suddenly jumping up and down.

"I'm sorry, but you can't. We have to talk about grown-up stuff. Maybe tomorrow we can go out with Daddy for lunch." Rachel compromised. She figured out that when she'd compromise with her son, he was less likely to pout.

"Ok..."

"Tomorrow is Sunday, so we have time," she flicked around on the TV before hearing the doorbell ringing, indicating Kurt had arrived. Rachel rushed over to the door as fast as she could, and was happy to see who was standing there.

"Hey Rach," Kurt said with a grin and they quickly embraced in a hug. She welcomed him inside, and Cory ran over to give his uncle a hug on his leg.

"Unka Kurt!"

"Hi Cory," Kurt leaned down to give his nephew a hug.

"I'm glad you came to visit. How long will you be here?" Rachel asked grabbing her purse. They agreed that once he arrived they'd leave for lunch and shopping.

"I'll be here until the 27th, because the second semester begins the 7th of January, so basically we get the whole month off for December," he explained. "Ready to go shopping Cory?"

"Yes!" the brunette walked over to get her son's coat to put it on him, and then she got her own. They took his stroller with them since they figured they'd be out for a couple hours. They arrived at the baby store in a little shopping center to pick up some winter clothes for the baby. With the help of Kurt, because he was an expert when it came to shopping for any type of clothing, they picked out some shirts, pants, pajamas, and hats and gloves for the baby. They even let Cory pick out a shirt that said "I'm A Big Brother!" on it. Once they were done they went to a fast food place to get something to eat.

"I wonder if they have marshmallows...Or grapes. Ooo! How about marshmallows and grapes together? That sounds delicious," Rachel said while looking at the menu above the counter.

"I doubt they have either of those here, Rachel. Everything here is high calorie," Kurt whispered so none of the workers would hear him. She didn't care though. The baby was craving a cheeseburger, so she was going to give him a cheeseburger. He ordered a chicken salad, Cory ordered the kids meal, and she ordered a large cheeseburger with two large sized fries. Lunch was going to be good for her today.

"Have you stopped at home yet?" she asked after taking a bite out of her warm burger.

"Yeah, I dropped off my luggage and said hi to my dad and Carole. Finn was still sleeping so I didn't say anything to him," he took a sip of his water. "How are things going for you two? I know you two had...issues back in September."

"Yes, we did. We finally talked a few weeks ago before Sectionals when Blaine staged a meeting for us to sing a duet. We're going to have dinner tonight and talk about what we're going to do when the baby comes."

"Do you know what you want to do?" he asked.

"I'd like him to move back in, but I'm not sure. I still don't trust him after what he did."

"You're going to have to eventually."

"I know."

-more-than-words-

7:00 PM

Rachel finished applying her eyeliner, getting ready to go out for dinner. Her and Finn were going to go to Breadstix since it was a classy restaurant and he got a reservation for it. Right now though, her back with a bit achy. It was probably from walking around for roughly two hours with Kurt and Cory. Kurt was watching over her son now while her and Finn went out to dinner. She was hoping he was having a good time with his uncle. Rachel grabbed her winter coat and silently waited in the living room until she heard a knock on the door. Slowly getting out of her seat, she made her way towards the door to reveal Finn and a bouquet of flowers.

"Hey," he greeted with one of his half smiles. He handed her the flowers, which smelled lovely.

"Thank you, they're beautiful," she placed them on a table beside the door. "Ready to go?"

"Yep, let's go," he helped escort her towards the car and inside. Neither of them said a word until they got to the end of the street while Finn waited for a car to pass by.

"How's Cory? I'm assuming you saw him before you left," Rachel asked while gliding her fingers over her belly.

"Yeah, him and Kurt are really having a good time. Cory was especially excited to see me," Finn added.

"That's one of the things we'll have to talk about at dinner," she said. They made their way to Breadstix ten minutes later, and before Rachel got out of the car she suddenly placed Finn's hand on her stomach. The baby was kicking.

"I-I've never felt him kick before," he said, startled.

"I know, that's why I'm doing this," she beamed. They sat in pure silence for a few minutes until he stopped, which is when they made their way inside to get their booth. The waiter arrived not even a minute later, requesting what they'd want to drink. Both Finn and Rachel ordered a glass of water, and they both ordered pasta for dinner.

"I'll be right out with your breadsticks and salad," the waiter said, walking away at a normal pace. They were officially alone now, and it was awkward.

"When's the baby due again?" he asked, trying to make conversation.

"Around the 17th. It'd be interesting if the baby was born on my birthday, the 18th."

"Well, we might as well talk about this now, since the baby's due in a couple weeks."

"What's your plan or idea?"

"I still care about you Rach, no matter what you probably think. So, that's why I think it's best if I move back in, to help you take care of Cory and the new baby...who we haven't even named," Finn elaborated.

"We seem to have a theme going with-" Rachel froze mid breath. A sudden jolt went through her body, accompanied with pain. Then, there was a splash. Finn looked behind him to see if a waiter dropped something, but the coast was clear. He saw the surprised look on her face, and he knew.

"M-my water broke..."
