Opening the door for Sarah, Daniel waited for her to get into his car before closing the door and then heading to the driver's side. Before starting the engine, he paused and looked over at his friend. She was staring down at her clasped hands and he worried that he had pushed her too far. It was possibly naïve of him to have thought her able to handle his friends, however, he had believed she would be okay as she had travelled to England alone and visited with her family after years apart. Had he caused a set-back for her recovery?

Less prominent in his mind were his thoughts over Jack's issues. Daniel had no idea what Jack's problem was; the sooner that people got used to Sarah being herself now and not Osiris. There was no reason to blame her for the actions done under Osiris and Daniel did not understand how Jack was able to. His comments regarding Nicola were completely unfounded – her torture had been at the hands of Sam and not Sarah. Daniel thought it to be Jack hiding himself from the truth of the complicated matter. He needed to be more open-minded and learn to forgive Sarah; Daniel had a vision of her remaining an important part of his life.

Still looking at her, his thoughts focussed back onto her and how vulnerable and tiny she looked sitting in his car. "Are you…?" He wanted to ask her if she was okay, but it sounded so pathetic.

"Why did you bring me here?" Her voice was quiet and timid, like that of a mouse and he preferred it over her manic moments.

"I thought you could appreciate the day out."

"But why here? Why not the cinema or zoo?"

"Because you need to start socialising with people. You can't do that at the movies."

"I need to start socialising, or you need me to start socialising with your friends? Daniel, do you spend all of your free time with me, trying to help me recuperate?"

"A lot of it, yes," he admitted.

She turned and met his eyes, a fierceness suddenly burnt in hers and he knew that her mood was changing. "Because you want my information, what's held in here?" She tapped at her head. "What I know would make you never sleep again. There's so much in here." She smiled giddily. "I'm never alone."

Reaching for her hand, she flinched and quietened, staring down at them as she allowed his hand to remain on top of hers. "I'll make sure you're never alone," he promised. "I want you better because you're my friend, Sarah, not for any information you may or may not have. I just thought you might like having other friends."

She shook her head violently. "Not them. I… I hurt them all so much. You'll never know, Daniel." She began crying, sobbing into the otherwise quiet of the car. "You'll never know the truth, the truth of what I've done and what they've…" She stopped crying and stared directly into his eyes. He saw something new within them. "Don't trust them. Don't trust anyone."
