Chapter 31: Questions Noted

Sorry everyone for the late update! I've been working on the SEQUEL lately, and I will announce it when I reveal the Mole! XD I've almost finished chapter 2, and I'm pleased to announce that the sequel will be much, MUCH better than this one. For the second season, I've already completed the first chapter, and why is it better? Well, the first chapter has about 7000 words plus in it, and the second chapter so far has 6000 words. I will finish this one first, though, as it's not finished. Should I put a preview up after I reveal the Mole?

Happy Yoshi: Well, the mission is mainly asking someone 3 questions from their opinions. So such as Paratroopa answered those three questions judged by his own opinion and the other two were the only options for the answers. Then the other two will have to answer the 3 questions as well and try to match up the answers. Not very simple. XD But there is still 2 rounds to go. The URL had some problems, so I first took it down, but now it's back up again. :D

Toady: Yeah, I've witnessed the magic of the 3 questions game before, it's hard, but there are only 3 questions for the duo, so the chances are kinda 50-50 for each question. But it is quite hard if the Mole acts up, like you during Spy Among Authors. XD Unlike Saboteur Investigation, I've put 3 challenges for the final episodes, so it's definitely going to be fun! XD

Toadiko and Paratroopa decided to hang around the lobby of the cruise ship as Monty instructed them to while he went to get Junior.

Paratroopa: Monty has been gone for a while now, so I do think that Junior was on the opposite side of where we went. Have we failed on the very first question? That's a disgrace, but we could've got the rest of them right though… this challenge is an interesting one.

"Hey guys." Junior waved as he approached the duo. "You got the first question wrong."

"What?!" Toadiko snapped, "You think that I'm racist?"

Junior backed away, "No, no, what I meant was that Paratroopa is too friendly to be racist. Sorry, I didn't mean to call you racist, I just eliminated the person that can't be racist."

Toadiko: Gee, thanks for calling me racist. You coward 'always-hiding-in-a-shell-with-spiky-protection', be like us friendly toads who always grow with sunshine!... Wait a minute, that's racist… oopsies, now I know what he's getting at.

"Ugh," Toadiko grunted with frustration, "Whatever, I'm going next." She demanded.

"I don't think she's in a good mood." Paratroopa nervously whispered to Junior, who just shrugged with a nervous laugh of his own.

Monty nodded at Toadiko's request. "Very well, Ms. Toadlina, please follow me to your destination."

"You better get this right!" Toadiko told them before stomping off, following Monty's tracks.

Junior: Oh boy, she's pissed off at the two of us. Well, me mainly, considering that I put her down for being racist. This game isn't the easiest one around. You have to admit that you are the most likely to suicide or something. It's hard, not easy at all.

Monty led two koopas down to the cruise ship's hallway with everyone's rooms. However, none of the three players' rooms are in this hallway.

"We shall stop here." Monty instructed as the duo stopped where they are, eager to hear the questions.

Paratroopa: As the most sensitive and naïve out of all of the players this season, Toadiko is doing a pretty good job during all of those questions. I'd have to say, it is quite hard even for me to say that I will be the one with the suicide. It's really hard to admit, if you don't think so, I challenge you to say that you will suicide one day.

"Toadiko was first asked," Monty looked at his card, "What would you make out with?"

Their reactions were as if a sword stabbed them in the heart. "WHAT?!" Junior screamed.

"These questions are unbelievable!" Paratroopa concurred with him.

"This is pretty much torture, for two guys to answer a question like this." Junior stomped the ground in frustration.

Monty chuckled to himself, "So, please give me an answer."

"I don't have the slightest idea." Paratroopa admitted, "Sure, you're rich, no offense. But you're a bit younger than her."

Junior shrugged, "I donno, it's strange. Since it could be in her motives that she wants money, so she'll be with me."

Paratroopa: Junior just pulled out this ridiculous theory of Toadiko wanting to make out for him in for her own financial advantages. Dude, you gotta think of other possibilities, I think she wouldn't do that… right?

"I have no problems going with that." Paratroopa agreed, "There's nothing wrong with that answer."

Monty nodded, "Very well, please follow me."

Soon, Monty stopped again at a separate path with two rooms on each side of it.

"Toadiko was then asked," Monty pulled out another card. "Who would get intoxicated with you and the two of you find yourselves in a bed the next morning huddled together?"

The reaction was even worse this time, Junior nearly tripped as he was completely blown away by the question.

Paratroopa on the other side was a bit calmer, having experienced the questions once. "I would say me."

"Wait, what? You would say you? It's going to be so hard to admit it though!" Junior retorted back.

Paratroopa shrugged, "Oh well, I don't really care. That's the mission, right? Besides, I think I'm more of the party boy here."

"True that." Junior agreed, "Monty, we say Paratroopa."

Junior: It makes the challenge a lot easier if the other one decides that the answer if them. Because I'm not comfortable with these questions, and if Paratroopa decides to agree to put himself as the answer, it makes my job a lot easier.

Monty simply nodded and led the two to the right side. When they arrived, they knew it's either left or right now.

"Toadiko was finally asked," Monty began to read from his final card for this round. "Who is better looking?"

"After answering the first two questions, I guess it's expected." Paratroopa sighed.

Junior rolled his eyes, "So what do you think? I'm a bit younger than her, and you're a bit older than her."

"Not by much, though. So I don't think age will really matter. I mean, if it was Waluigi and me, I guess she'd say me because Waluigi's a lot older." Paratroopa thought out loud.

Junior put a hand to his chin, "Let's think logically for the moment. What do you think she will say?"

"Or I think this question, we could answer with the answer we had for the first question. I mean, I think it's asking almost the same thing." Paratroopa theorized.

Junior raised an eyebrow, "So you say that I'm better than you?"

"I never said that." Paratroopa said with a glare, "I just think it's asking the same thing."

Paratroopa: It's not that I'm saying that Junior is better than me, I think I'm better than him in many ways. I mainly think that Toadiko will choose both as the same answer, considering how it's the two of us thinking about ourselves. If I was in her position, I will put down the same answer, because it's logical for all of us to guess it.

Junior quickly answered himself, and Monty told him to knock on the door to the right. He did so, and a door opened…

Only on the opposite side.

"Oh, you guys are so dumb!" Toadiko scolded, completely frustrated with the mission. They had lost 20000 coins now, and only 10000 coins are remaining at stake.

Junior waved his arms in front of him. "Hey! We tried our best, it just didn't work out!"

"Only one that we got wrong!" Paratroopa scratched his head. "Monty, can you actually award us something for getting 4 out of 6 so far?"

Monty shook his head, "Sorry, none can do. Only if you're successful in one whole round, and caging that enemy within."

"Ugh." Toadiko grunted, the mission completely getting into her. "Fine then, Paratroopa, go hide, and we'll find you."

Junior: Obviously Toadiko is very frustrated with this challenge. I'm not very comfortable with it either, since you'll have to admit that you're this, you're that, you're everything, it's just not good. She's the most naïve out of the three of us, so I do expect some inconvenience caused by her.

Final round and the players are at a great zero for how much money they will be putting into the pot. Toadiko and Junior followed Monty to the first split hallway as the ex-coalition partners instantly recognized the place. It was between the dining hall and the library.

"Paratroopa was first asked," Monty read from his card, "Who will most likely go to jail?"

Toadiko instantly grunted at the question, being fed up with enough of those questions.

"Me," Junior surprised the toad girl, "I've caused some troubles for the Mushroom Kingdom before."

Toadiko casted a nervous glance towards him, "Are you sure? I mean, I think we should reconsider…"

"Then will you pick someone like me or someone like you?" Junior asked back.

Toadiko: Instantly, Junior began reasoning how he should be the logical answer, and I realized how offended and upset I was by the simplest questions. Neither of them are being crybabies, so why should I? This challenge is only about answering a few questions… and I'm amazed how offended people could be at such simple questions.

Toadiko nodded in agreement, and told Monty their answer. Monty then led down into the library, and stopped between fictional books and non-fictional books.

Monty pulled out the next card, "Paratroopa was then asked… who is going to consider their parents regret having them?"

"Oh no." Toadiko looked down, thinking that the answer is her.

Junior rolled his eyes, "Me again."

Toadiko raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean? I mean, I'm definitely more of a fail."

"Not that, it's that you are a single child, and I'm my parent's eighth child. So it would be logical if Paratroopa answers me." Junior explained his answer.

Toadiko opened her mouth in realization, "That's true… it's completely logical to think like that."

"Monty, we answer me." Junior told Monty and the host led them into the non-fiction section.

Monty cleared his throat at the final question for the mission, split between romance and crime. "Paratroopa was then finally asked… if the other two marry, who's going to chicken out at the wedding and not come?"

"That is a difficult one…" Toadiko began thinking.

Toadiko: This question isn't offensive, because it's mainly what we are in Paratroopa's point of view. Neither of us has talked with Paratroopa as much as we've talked with each other, he talked with Rosalina much more than us. But I actually have no clue what Paratroopa will think when he was asked about this question. Either me because I'll probably be very scared about the wedding, or Junior because he is more springy and unpredictable…

Junior put a hand onto his chin, "This question could be where ten grand depended on."

"Stop putting pressure onto me." Toadiko glared at him, "I'd say… me?"

"Really? I'd say me." Junior told her.

Junior: I've once again tried to come up with a logical answer, and it's just not happening. If I say me, then it's because Toadiko could be coming after my position as royalty. If I say Toadiko, it could be of her personality, I think Paratroopa also had a very hard time coming up with an answer for this question, since he had to put himself in our position, and we had to put ourselves in his position.

Toadiko and Junior took a long while thinking about what Paratroopa will answer, and they couldn't settle with an answer.

"Both of our answers are pretty logical, so what do you think Paratroopa will say?" Junior asked his teammate, who is buffed at the question.

Toadiko rolled her eyes, "I think he'll say me this time, because not only he answered you for the earlier two questions, I think you actually will have a wider range of choice, no offense, and I don't. So I'd be saying myself, since you actually could hold off the wedding any time before it begins."

"That's true." Junior decided, "Then we'll go with you?"

"Go for it." Toadiko agreed.

Monty nodded at their answer, "For 10000 coins, is Paratroopa in the crime section of the library?"

"I am." Paratroopa flew out as the other two high-fived each other. "Good job guys, you did well getting here."

"See? I said that we're going to succeed in this round." Toadiko laughed.

Monty then smirked as the players knew it will be a bad sign, "Now… shall we add up the total for the mission? Because right now, you are on another mission."

Team Pot:

219000 Coins

"… What?" Junior raised an eyebrow. "Are we having another mission straight away?"

Monty shook his head, "That, is up to you. 1 hour remaining." With that, he left them.

Toadiko picked up a book on the table, "Guys, I think I know our next mission, it's in this book over here. The Grand Grimoire."

"Let me read it," Paratroopa took out the note in the huge book. "You'll need to find 20 notecards like this in the library. For every notecard like this you find, you'll be adding 1000 coins into the pot. This is the very first notecard. Hint for this mission: The Mole's Hiding Place."

Junior: Apparently our missing is to find strange notecards inside this library. But I'll put the hint away as a clue that I don't need, I'm quite confident in who I think is the Mole as of now. But it's for the mission, so will there be a monty mole somewhere filled with 20 notecards? I don't understand.

"Let us see, I think I have solved it." Toadiko grinned.

The other two looked at her with sudden interest, "Please explain." Junior asked her.

Toadiko held the notecard up, "No time to explain, if you want to know, solve it yourself! Farewell for now!"

"Wait! Can you give us a clue?" Paratroopa asked.

Toadiko motioned for Junior to come, "I think the note is up there." She whispered.

Junior raised an eyebrow, but Toadiko has already dashed off. "What did she tell you?" Paratroopa asked him.

"Well… she seemed to know where the notecards are. Do you?" Paratroopa shook his head at Junior's question, and the two looked at the notecard harder.

So the three questions game didn't turn out as well, huh. But at least they got a few coins for the pot. :P Sorry for the super late upload, but I've been kinda focusing on the other stories of mine before and now I'm back on track, my brain is no longer mush. XD
