Hey everyone! Thank you for the favs, alerts, and reviews for the last chapter! Sorry for the delay with this, but I've got an announcement for all of you. I'm going to be writing another Finchel fanfic! The first chapter should be out very soon, and I hope you guys like it. I'm keeping the plot a secret until the first chapter is released, but it's loosely based off a book/movie and I'll give you a hint. The book was released in 1965, the original movie was released in 1968, and the remake of that movie was released in 2005. Put your guess in your review!
I don't own Glee. I only own the characters Cory Hudson and Anthony Hudson.
Enjoy!
"So, what's Anthony's first outfit going to be?" Finn asked as he put everything that belonged to Rachel back in her hospital bag. It was December 4th, and she was surprised that they kept her at the hospital an extra day compared to when she had Cory. It was probably because Anthony was preterm, while Cory was overdue. Right now she was removing Anthony's blanket, and started to look through the clothes she brought for him. She decided on a teal-and-white striped onesie with a matched pair of socks, and some booties. She also brought a baby sized winter jacket for him, since in the winter in Lima it was always cold.
"Daddy! Here!" Cory patted his dad's leg to hand him one of his toys that he had with him. Carole dropped their first-born off early in the morning because he wanted to come home with his baby brother.
"Thanks Cory," Finn praised his son as he messed with his hair. "Is there anything else around the room that we need to put away?"
Cory pointed towards the smaller baby car seat. "No, we need that for Anthony. Your car seat is in the car."
"Caw seat," he repeated. Finn smiled as he placed his son on the couch so he could keep an eye on him.
"Do you think he looks cute?" Rachel asked as she lifted Anthony up to show him what he looked like him his outfit.
"Adorable," he replied as he finished packing her bag. "Done. The nurse is going to come get us when we're ready to leave, right?"
"Yep," she placed Anthony back in her arms, watching him as he drifted back to sleep. Moments later, a nurse came into the room with a wheelchair in front of her.
"Are you ready Miss. Berry?" she asked politely.
"Yes," Finn took Anthony from her arms as she got out of the hospital bed and slowly ambled over to the wheelchair. Once she was settled in the chair he placed their newborn son back in her arms. "Ready to go home Anthony?"
"I think he's ready to go home in a nice crib and go to sleep," Finn laughed as he grabbed the car seat in one hand, put Rachel's hospital bag on his shoulder, and took Cory's hand in his free hand. It didn't take long for them to get outside, and it was freezing. In Lima, it usually wasn't extremely cold until January, but in this case it was clearly cold. Finn installed the car seat after putting Cory in his own seat, and waited for Rachel to get ready and hand Anthony to him. She approached her side of the car to get in and about five minutes later they were on their way home.
"Ready to raise two kids?" she asked as they left the parking lot.
"Yes, and no...I'm worried about C-o-r-y and how he's going to act when we have to pay a little more attention to A-n-t-h-o-n-y," Finn commented.
"What I do?" Cory asked as he became aware his parents were talking about him.
"He can spell his name, you know," Rachel snapped. "Sorry, my hormones are still a mess."
"It's ok. And at least Cory doesn't know how to spell Anthony's name yet."
"Let's keep it that way then," she smiled.

They arrived at home about ten minutes later, and Rachel was happy to see the familiar house again. It had been her place of comfort for almost three years now, and seeing it made her feel happy.
Her and Anthony were the first to get inside since her and Finn both knew it would be a hassle with Cory around to do so. The brunette carried her son into the nursery and laid him down with a smile on her face. It would be awhile before he'd wake up and want to eat, so she decided she was going to take a nap before having to deal with a crying baby.
"Sleep well," Finn said as she shut the door behind her. Now it was just him and Cory, who was watching cartoons on TV. He looked at his phone's calender curiously and gasped when he read the date.
Some of his exams were today. And he had missed an important one yesterday too.
"Crap!" the tall man whispered loudly as he started to rub his temple with his free hand. How could he have forgotten about his exams?
"Wha?" Cory asked as he looked over at his dad.
"Oh-uhm-nothing Cory. Daddy has to go make an important phone call, okay? I'll bring you back a snack when I'm done," hearing the word snack made his son's attention focus back on the TV, which was a relief for him. Finn headed towards the kitchen to call his English professor, which was the exam that he missed yesterday.
"Hello? Mr. Hull? This is your Freshmen English student, Finn Hudson."
"How can I help you? I noticed yesterday you weren't here to take your final. You better have a good excuse as to why you missed it."
"Yes, my girlfriend Rachel had a baby Sunday, but we just came home today since he was slightly preterm," Finn explained. When he called Rachel his girlfriend, he almost stopped talking when he realized his mistake. They weren't even dating again; they were simply roommates with two kids.
"I can understand that you were preoccupied with other matters. Is there any way you can stop by today to make it up?" Mr. Hull questioned.
"No. Plus I have other exams to make up as well from today too," he sighed at the end of his sentence.
"Well, I don't want to fail you. You were a good student and you remained attentive and focused even when Mr. Warwick passed."
"Thank you sir," Finn accepted the compliment. Then again, hearing Jack's last name sent a shiver through his body.
"I'll tell you what. If you can come down here and talk to the principal along with your girlfriend to confirm the events that have happened these past few days, then I'm sure your other professors and I will be able to reach and agreement with you," he explained.
"What time do you want me there?" he asked.
"Can you come at noon?" Mr. Hull replied with another question.
"Yes sir, thank you so much," Finn thanked his professor and hung up the phone. He looked over at Cory once he got him some berries to eat before looking at their bedroom door. Surely she wouldn't be pleased with his news.

"Rach? There's something I have to tell you," Finn decided to bring up his news right before dinner.
"Yes?" she said as she grabbed some salad from the refrigerator.
"So...I had to call my English professor Mr. Hull since I missed today and yesterday about my finals. He said I have to come down to Columbus tomorrow to talk about what's going to happen with my exams."
"That's fine," Rachel said.
"There's a catch, though," that's when she became fully aware of what he was saying now.
"There's always a catch," she groaned.
"You have to come with me to confirm why I was out."
She exploded once he was finished. "Are you kidding me? If they know I just gave birth two days ago, why the hell are they asking me to come down to Columbus with you? And Anthony's feeding schedule is very precise since I'm not giving him formula! They better not mind me feeding him in the middle of this meeting tomorrow!"
"Well if they're offended, they'll have to answer to me," Finn said sternly.
"What are we going to do about Cory? It's not fair that he has to stay in Lima while we take Anthony with us."
"We'll take put him in the daycare. He's been there before," he answered.
"Alright then," she sighed. "Looks like we're going to Columbus tomorrow."
Do you think Finn's professors will let him take his exams or not! Put what you think in your review!
Coming up in Chapter 30 - Finn and Rachel make their way to Columbus to see what's going on with his final exams. And surely nothing can go wrong with a two-year old and newborn during a two-hour car ride, right?
