Hey everyone! Here's chapter 30! Thank you for all the favs, alerts, and reviews!

I can't believe it's been a year since Cory's death. It only feels like yesterday when I woke up on the 14th, and the first thing I see on my homepage was that he was found dead. It was a shock then, and it still is now. My thoughts go out to the entire Glee family and his family. And my thoughts also go out to Becca Tobin due to the loss of her boyfriend on Thursday. (It's eerie how their deaths are so close)

I'd say there's about ten chapters left in this fic, but I might extend it for a few chapters if what I'm planning fits in this fanfic or in the next one. But yes, there is going to be a third fanfic for this series. I don't know how long it's going to go on, but there IS going to be a third fanfic.

And since it's been a year since Cory's death, this chapter is dedicated to him.

I don't own Glee. I only own the characters Cory Hudson, Anthony Hudson, and all the teachers and professors.

Enjoy!

"Ready to go on a car ride, Cory?" Rachel asked as she buckled her son up in his car seat. Finn, Cory, Anthony, and herself were heading down to Columbus so Finn could talk to his professors about his finals that he missed. They were going to drop Cory off at the daycare center while they kept Anthony with them in the meeting room.

"Where we go?" he asked tiredly with a yawn.

"We're going to Columbus again! Only this time, with Anthony," she explained. His only reaction was another yawn.

"You're sitting in the back, right?" Finn asked as he put the diaper bag in the back of the car.

"Yes. It's best if I keep my eyes on both of them since I don't know what Cory's going to do to Anthony," the brunette said. She would also have to feed Anthony during the car ride, so instead of stopping to get him she might as well sit in the back with him.

"Well, let's head off then," he said as he wanted her get in the car, and then he put Anthony and his car seat in the car next to Rachel, so she was in between both of her sons. He got in the front, ignited the car, and backed out of the driveway.

"We there yet?" Cory asked. They hadn't even been on the road for five minutes and her oldest was already asking the usual questions kid had: "Are we there yet?"

"No Little Cor, we haven't even left Lima yet. Why don't you try to get some sleep?" Rachel asked.

"No sleepy," he defended himself. He then pointed his finger towards his little brother. "Antony sleepy."

"I know Anthony is sleeping, which is why you should too for at least a little bit. If you go to sleep now then I promise you we'll almost be in Columbus by the time you wake up."

"Ok," and he closed his eyes. She let out a sigh of relief, knowing now she'd be able to relax and talk to Finn for a bit.

"So when is Anthony's doctor's appointment?" Finn asked while focusing on the road. The pediatrician at the hospital advised the two parents to schedule an appointment with her since Anthony was slightly premature.

"Tomorrow at 3, then we don't have to go see her for awhile," she elaborated while stroking the newborn's cheek. He squirmed in his sleep, but other than that he was a quiet baby. She was hoping he was going to be like Cory for the first year of his life; quiet and only woke up when he was hungry.

"I'll see if I'm able to go, since I don't know what's going on with my exams after all."

"That's alright. Since you're dealing with your exams right now I'm giving you full permission to put school first, even though I just gave birth to your second child," Rachel smirked, and she could see through the mirror that he had a smile on his face while rolling his eyes.

-more-than-words-

There was a peaceful half hour in the car right before Cory woke up, to the adults dismay. Rachel smiled at her oldest son, who smiled politely back at her.

"Where we?" he asked. Finn's groan could be heard in the front seat when he heard Cory question his parents.

"We're not in Columbus yet Cory. We still have an hour or so until we get there," the brunette said.

"You said when I wake up we be there!" he exclaimed.

"I didn't say we'd be in Columbus when you woke -"

She didn't get to finish her sentence before he started throwing a tantrum. "No! You said so!"

"No I-"

"Yes you did! Yes you did! Yes you did!" Cory started squealing and flailing his arms around with his toy Puckasaurus in hand until it flew in the air and landed on Anthony's face. Even though it was plush, it probably hurt the baby's sensitive skin.

Once that dinosaur's plush nose hit the baby, screams erupted from his tiny mouth. That was the loudest any of them had heard him scream since he was born.

"Cory Sean Hudson! You do not throw things at your little brother," Rachel said sternly while watching Finn drive. He was obviously tuning out everything that was happening in the back of the car. He was driving, so she decided to let this parenting fall into her lap. She tried to calm Anthony down by shushing him, but that wasn't working at all.

"Make Antony stop Mommy!" Cory cried out while placing his small hands on his ears. Rachel couldn't answer her son right now since she was focusing on her second born. She softly sang a lullaby to him to calm him down, and she was so thankful it did.

"There you go baby," she whispered as she reshaped his blanket so it covered him more. He was now quiet, which made everyone in the car happy.

"Thank you Mommy," Cory said as he closed his eyes again and went to sleep again. Now all Rachel had to do was get through the rest of this car ride and she'd be happy.

"Ready?" Finn asked as him and Rachel walked out of the daycare center and started to make their way to the actual university. Besides hearing more "are we there yet?" questions from Cory, it was a peaceful ride.

"Yep," she answered while pushing Anthony's stroller alongside the tall man.

Finn still couldn't get over the size of the university, even if he had been there almost every day.

"Right this way," he commanded as he sat right outside Conference Room One, the one Mr. Hull told him to wait outside of and knock to let them know when he was there. "So while I was on the phone with my professor, I told them you were my girlfriend..."

"That's fine," she said while now rocking Anthony in her arms.

"Really?"

"Yes. If you need to say that for an advantage, go ahead," she placed their son back in his stroller. A minute or so later Mr. Hull opens the door and instructed them to come in.

"I didn't realize you were bringing your child," he said while gazing at the baby.

"Well, he has a strict feeding schedule, and besides he needs to be fed soon," Rachel said while walking in the room. And before the door was shut, she said, "don't worry, he'll be fed with a bottle."

Everyone got settled in, and he noticed almost all of his teachers were there except for his Economics teacher, Mrs. Roberts. She had already given her final before Rachel gave birth, so he didn't have to worry about that one. His teachers there were Mr. Hull for English 101, Mr. Blumberg for History 101, Mrs. Goodwin for General Education, Mrs. Benson for Child Development, and Mr. Maffa for Math 101.

"Good afternoon Mr. Hudson, Miss..."

"Miss Berry. You can call me Rachel, however," she said with a smile.

"Alright, that's fine. So Finn, I see that you've missed Monday and Tuesday of this week. Professor Hull already told us your reasons for being away from school, but we'd like to hear it from both of you," Mrs. Benson said while looking at the young adults.

"Well," Rachel began, "On December 1st, I went into labor with my son, Anthony. The next day, I gave birth to him. I could have gone home that day, but since he was preterm we both had to stay for an extra couple of days."

"And since all my attention was focused on Rachel, the newborn, and our other son Cory, I completely forgot it was finals week at school. I would have come Monday, but my mind was on other things."

"I don't know," Mr. Blumberg said, "Usually we excuse medical emergencies, but only if it's for the student themselves."

"Are you two dating?" Mr. Maffa questioned.

"Yes, we are," they said in illusion.

"Mr. Blumberg, medical emergencies apply for family members of the student too. And even though Rachel isn't Finn's wife, their son is one of his family members. So he's excused there," Mr. Goodwin spoke up.

"What's your son's health situation as of now?"

"He needs to visit the doctor tomorrow to make sure everything's okay," Rachel explained while checking on Anthony.

"Alright. I say we take a vote, that seems fair. All in favor of Finn being excused for the rest of the week and taking his finals next week say I," Mr. Hull commanded in a deep voice. Everyone raised their hand except Mr. Blumberg. He looked around the room momentarily and sighed, raising his hand to.

Finn knew he had to contain his excitement, and that's what he did. Deep down, he was happy that he was able to take his exams without failing them. He thanked all of his professors before leaving the building with Rachel. They then picked up Cory and went back to the car. Since three out of the four people sitting in the car, they decided to get a quick lunch somewhere before returning home. When they arrived at the parking lot of a fast food place, he heard Rachel's voice in the back of the car. It was a soft tone, "Hey Finn?"

"Yeah Rach?" he asked.

"I was just thinking...You know how we lied and said we were dating?" she asked in return.

"Yeah..."

"Well, maybe it's for the best if we start dating again, but we'll only take it slow," he flipped his head around to the back of the car to see if she was joking with him or something. The expression on her face was serious, and he didn't detect any signs that she was kidding.

"You mean it?" Finn inquired. When she nodded, all he could do was smile. "Thank you, Rach."

"You've gained more of my trust back, you deserve it," Rachel smiled. "Maybe soon enough, we'll be engaged again and we'll get married."

"Maybe," he hoped so. He still loved her, no matter what happened a few months ago. It made him happy that he was getting her trust back; it meant a lot to him.

So, yay! Finn's professors are letting him take his exams over Christmas break. It's better than failing them, that's for sure.

And Finn and Rachel are now officially back together!

Coming up in chapter 31: Finn and Rachel take Anthony to the doctors, and in this chapter some alumni return to Lima (since a couple chapters ago I said alumni would return in the next chapter and they never did).
