Here it is, chapter 7, finally! Thanks so much for reviewing the last chapter!

The next few days were very difficult for Harry. Dumbledore had been informed about the incident with Lexi and he had realised that Harry was bound to bleed from time to time and that something must be done.

He made Snape brew up a skin protection potion which made it a lot less likely for him to get a paper cut. The potion was to be drank once a day and would make the drinkers skin stronger. This helped Harry a lot.

Over the next few days, Lexi seemed fine. It was only Harry and Dumbledore that noticed the colour change in her eyes. They were still green but it was a darker shade. She also became easily annoyed at anything really. Dumbledore came up with another great solution to this problem too.

He realised that Lexi wasn't going to be fine without blood for the rest of her life but giving her real blood could lead to problems. So he gave Lexi a kind of pretend blood for 'vegetarian' vampires that an old vampire friend had recommended to him. The blood could be turned to any colour so Dumbledore chose white. This made feeding times as comfortable as possible for Harry and Lexi went back to her usual, happy self.

Lexi was nearly two months and looked like an almost two-year old and, much to Harry's relief, her growth had slowed a considerable amount. She was still growing very fast, but nowhere near as fast as she had been. She no longer aged a month every night and Harry didn't have to ask Mrs Weasley to magically enlarge Lexi's clothes every day anymore.

Despite her physical growth slowing, Lexi was becoming more and more academically advanced with each passing day. Hermione was one of the reasons for this. She acted like a teacher for Lexi and with Lexi's great understanding, she became a very intelligent young girl. She could read and write at the level of a 5-year-old and walk and talk.

Harry was proud of his daughter but he was also very worried. Lexi would be at Hogwarts soon and surrounded by magic. She was bound to pick up on the magic and Harry didn't want her to hurt herself. He also knew that she'd get a lot of attention and he wanted to protect her from it. Harry had been famous for something that wasn't even his fault from the moment he stepped into the wizarding world and he didn't want the same to happen to Lexi. Harry wanted to give her a normal life but, sadly, he knew that that wasn't possible.

It w the day before Harry and the others' return to Hogwarts and Harry was busy packing all of Lexi's things away. She was to go to Hogwarts that evening to avoid any troubles on the train. Harry wasn't very happy when he found out that he would have to be away from Lexi for a day, but he knew that it was for the best.

It took quite a while to pack all of Lexi's things away. Mrs Weasley had taken him on a shopping trip to get Lexi things that she really needed. Harry couldn't believe the amount of things a little baby needed! Hermione and Ginny had fallen in love with a dozen different outfits for toddlers and had practically forced Harry to get them for her so Harry had a lot of things to pack away. Lexi's stuff took up two trunks!

Harry lugged the trunks downstairs and left them in the living room before going into the kitchen to spend a little time with Lexi before she left. Ginny was playing with Lexi when Harry entered the room. "Daddy!" Giggled Lexi as Ginny tickled her. Harry laughed before going to save his daughter from Ginny.

He set Lexi down in the table and sat in the chair in front if her. "Lexi do you remember Professor McGonagall?" he asked. Lexi had met Professor McGonagall a dew days before.

"Gonegall she smiled. Harry nodded.

"Yep! She's going to take you away for a little while," as Harry said this, Lexi looked like she was about to cry. "No, don't cry, baby! Listen, she's just going to take you ti your new home and daddy's going to come and stay with you then!" He said. "Don't be sad. A nice little man calles Dobby's going to look after you,"

"Dobby?" She replied. Harry nodded. "Will daddy come too?"

"I'll be there tomorrow and you'll go there tonight!" He said. "OK?"

"OK," she answered. Harry smiled and gave her a hug. Suddenly, they heard coughing coming from the sitting room. Then Professor McGonagall entered the room. She smiled fondly at Lexi when she saw the little girl. Harry and Ron could barely contain their laughs. They were used to seeing nothing but seriousness on their professor's face as she rarely even smiled.

"Hello, you three. Is Lexi ready to go?" She said very quickly. Harry nodded his head yes before giving Lexi one last long hug. He then picked her up and placed her in Professor McGonagall's arms.

"Bye Lexi, I love you and I'll see you soon," said Harry. Ron, Hermione and Ginny said goodbye to Lexi too.

"Bye Ronnie! Bye GinGin! Bye 'Mione! Bye daddy!" Replied the little girl. Professor McGonagall then walked into the sitting room. She then made Lexi's two trunks vanish and, probably, reappear in her room at Hogwarts.

"Well, I'll see you all tomorrow," said Professor McGonagall. The others said their goodbyes one more time and then Lexi and Professor McGonagall left.

Harry sighed and sat down in his chair, already feeling worried even though Lexi had only been gone less than a minute. He knew he had a long, sleepless and worry-filled night ahead of him.

The next morning, Harry was to be found rushing around and trying to get ready along with everyone else in the Burrow. "Where's my robes?"

"I can't find my owl cage!"

"Has anybody seen my wand?"

"Where did I leave my potions book?" Were some of the frustrated words that could be heard all over the Burrow. Harry was busy gathering up all of his things. Fortunately, he had most of them already packed.

Finally, everyone was ready and in Mr Weasleys magically expanded car. They eventually started the journey to King's Cross and it didn't take long to get there. Harry was desperate to get on the train as he really wanted to see Lexi. He wouldn't get to see her until after the start of term feast though but, in a way, Harry was kind of glad. He didn't want anyone else staring at her, talking about her and judging her.

They arrived on platform 9 3/4 with only ten minutes until the train set off. They loaded all their trunks onto the train and said a quick goodbye to Mr and Mrs Weasley before getting on the train.

The twins left to go sit with their friend Lee Jordan and Ginny went to find Luna Lovegood. Harry, Ron and Hermione couldn't find any empty compartments but they found one with just Neville in it. Neville kindly let them sit with him. "Hello Neville!" Said Hermione brightly as she sat down.

"Hello," he said quietly. He got into a conversation with Ron and Hermione and tried to act friendly towards Harry. Harry could tell that he didn't want to bring anything up about Lexi and seem nosy and Harry was very grateful for this.

He noticed a rolled up copy of the Daily Prophet sitting beside Neville. "Neville can I have a look at that?" He asked, motioning towards the newspaper. Neville looked unsure of what to say and bit his lip.

"I don't know if you'd want to," he said slowly. Harry gave him a confused look and Neville sighed. He nodded and passed the paper over to Harry.

Harry unrolled it and groaned as he saw the front page.

Biter Baby Going To Hogwarts!

Harry Potter's child, Lexi, will be going to Hogwarts with her father. According to an inside source, Potter and the baby will be given their own private quarters inside Gryffindor house.

The child is clearly far too dangerous to be allowed in the school so why is Dumbledore allowing her to go tothe school? The girl is a half vampire child and Merlin knows what she could do. She could injure a student or throw a deadly tantrum.

Lexi is growing far too fast and in another couple of months, she will be strong enough to bite everyone in the castle. Personally, I think it is an outrage that she is being put in a school with other children.

Harry couldn't read anymore. He muttered something about Rita Skeeter and threw the paper onto the floor. Hermione picked it up and read it aloud for her and Ron. She gave Harry a sympathetic look when she put it down again. "Oh, Harry ignore Skeeter!"

"Yeah, mate. She's an old hag!" Said Ron. Harry knew they were right but he was still feeling very angry.

"So...so it's true?" Asked Neville timidly. Ron nodded.

"He does have a kid and she is half-vampire but the rest is utter crap!" He insisted. Hermione frowned at Ron's bad language but nodded her head.

"Yes, Lexi's perfectly safe! She's only two months old! She wouldn't harm a fly and is certainly not too dangerous to be put in a school with other children!" Said Hermione angrily.

Suddenly, the door to the compartment opened up and Draco Malfoy walked in with his two cronies, Crabbe and Goyle, behind him. "So, is it true then, Potter?" Snapped the blonde ferret. "That you got a vampire pregnant?"

"Go away, Malfoy!" Said Harry, angrily. Malfoy smirked.

"I'll take that as a yes then," he snickered. "Harry Potter always has to be the centre of attention, doesn't he?" Snarled Draco. Harry stood up and pulled out his wand.

"I won't tell you again, Malfoy. Get out!" He shouted. Malfoy smirked again and left the compartment.

"Don't listen to anything the white-nosed ferret says," said Ron.

A few hours later, when they were all changed into their robes, the train pulled up beside Hogsmead station. Harry followed the others off the train and onto the carriages. They all climbed into a carriage beside Ginny and Luna.

Harry patted a thestral on it's back as Ron looked at him uneasily. Ron couldn't see the creature and to him it looked like Harry was patting thin air. Harry laughed at him and climbed into the carriage. A few moments later the thestral started walking. The carriage was pulled along the path towards Hogwarts.

After being searched and finally allowed past the gates, Harry and his friends made their way towards the Great Hall. Harry was usually excited for the start of term feast but all he wanted was for it to be over so he could go and see his daughter this time.

As Harry walked towards Gryffindor table, he felt all eyes on him. He tried to ignore the stares and sat down between Ginny and Ron. Soon after, Dumbledore stood up. "Let the sorting ceremony begin!" And with that, Professor McGonagall walked in with a stool and the sorting hat in her hands and a line of first years behind her.

She put the stool at the front of the hall and started calling student forward. "Howell, Darren," went to Hufflepuff. "Berry, Emma," went to Gryffindor. "Dawson, Teagan," went to Ravenclaw. "Rock, Phil," went to Slytherin.

The sorting seemed to go on and on for Harry. Finally, it was only "Bais, Luke!," and he went to Ravenclaw. Dumbledore stood up. "Welcome to our new students and welcome back to our old ones! I have a few things to say but let us eat first!" And with that all the house tables and staff table were covered with delicious smelling food.

Harry didn't eat much but, instead, waited patiently for everyone else to finish eating. Finally, when the last of the desserts were cleared away, Dumbledore stood up. "I hope you all enjoyed the delicious food! Now, I have a few announcements to make. The first one is, Professor Snape will be taking over as our new defence against the dark arts teacher while Professor Slughorn will be taking over as potions master!" All the students broke out into furious whispers as Dumbledore clapped by himself.

The old headmaster cleared his throat. "Secondly, as you all know, the forbidden forest ia forbidden! And lastly, Mr Filch has asked me to tell everyone that no student is to bring a product from Weasley's wizarding Wheezes into the castle!" Harry laughed as he said this. Fred and George wouldn't let Mr Filch put them out of business, there was no doubt about that. "Now, off to bed with you all!"

Harry practically jumped up as he said this but as he was exiting the Great Hall Professor McGonagall stopped him. "The portrait of Godric Gryffindor in the Gryffindor common room is a secret room. The password is 'Fubblebusters'. Dobby and Lexi are in there," she whispered into his ear. Harry nodded and headed towards the staircase. He practically ran up the stairs.

When he got to Gryffindor tower, another student told him the password and he climbed in. Harry walked over to the portrait of Godric and muttered 'fubblebusters'. The portrait swung open and Harry climbed through.

He was in a little hall with three doors. The first door he went through was a bathroom. The second door he went through was his own room with his trunk already in their. The third door he went into was a little girls room. Harry grinned as he saw Lexi on the floor playing with Dobby. "Lexi!" He said, picking her up. He gave her a big hug.

"Hello daddy, Look, Dobby!" She grinned. Harry smiled and nodded.

"Hello Harry Potter sir! It is honour to see Harry Potter again!" Said the little elf, very quickly.

"Please just call me Harry!" Insisted Harry. The elf nodded his head.

"Yes Harry Po-..Harry," replied Dobby. "Dobby is looking after Lexi good!"

"Yeah, thanks Dobby!" Smiled Harry.

"No, no! Don't thank Dobby. It is honour for Dobby to serve Harry Potter! Harry Potter is Dobby's friend! And baby Lexi is very good baby! Dobby likes this new job!" Harry laughed at Dobby's enthusiasm.

Perhaps Lexi coming to Hogwarts would be all right, after all. Maybe it would be good for the little girl.
