So, next chapter! Sorry it's shorter than the other one but yeahh. Anyway. I hope you like it
Broken reflection
Lindsey wasn't sure where to start with trying to get Chloe to talk to her. She had gone up to her bedroom, and as she had expected, found the door to be blocked off by something, and Chloe wasn't replying whenever she called her name.
She couldn't even iumagine what Chloe was going through now and she didn't know how she could help, but she was going to. Chloe was like her little sister and she wasn't going to let her keep hurting.
"You've got to talk to me, or someone at some point Chlo. You can't stay quiet forever." Lindsey hoped that at least some of her words would have some kind of effect on the obviously terrified teenager.
"Look, Chloe-" Lindsey was cut off by a loud crash coming from inside the room. "Chloe! What was that? Let me in!"
I stared at the mirror I had just punched. There was a large crack in the glass, a broken fragment separating to halves of my face. My face. I could hardly recognisde myself right now. Mascara was running down my cheeks and the rest of my face was puffy and red. There was a bruise forming on my forehead. Another one from him.
I looked down at my hand to see that blood was starting to well up from the cuts in my knuckles, not that it affected me. I could hardly feel it. I could hardly feel anything.
I heard Lindsey call my name again. She sounded worried. Of course she was. She didn't know what the massive smash had been, she just wanted to help but I couldn't let her in. I couldn't let her see me like this.
"I-I'm okay." I managed to choke out. My voice sounded dry and crackly, like it wasn't mine at all.
"What was the crash?" Lindsey asked, relieved that Chloe had finally spoke but still too worried about the young girl to put into words.
"Just the mirror." My voice was still different, still not mine. I still hadn't looked away from my reflection. My broken face in the broken mirror, it could almost be poetic.
"Chloe, can you let me in. Please?" Lindsey was begging now, I could hear it in her voice.
"I-I don't know." I replied, finally tearing my eyes away from the broken glass. "I don't know much any more."
"Please Chloe, let me in, we can...talk." Lindsey sighed.
"I don't want to talk." I couldn't. I couldn't think straight in my head but I knew I didn't want to talk.
"Fine, we dodn't have to talk but just open the door. Please."
I slowly started to pull the drawers I had shoved in front of the door out of the way before I sat on my bed, I don't think my legs were going to work much longer, I just felt so weak. Lindsey opened the door and we just looked at each other for a moment. I had told her I didn't want to talk and I doubt she knew what to say.
I watched as she made her way over to the bed, sitting down next to me before simply wrapping her arms around me and letting me cry into her shoulder. It was all she could do.
Well yeah. Please review thanks :)
