Really didn't think I would ever comeback to write this since my sister went back to her country after here vacation and that was a good while back. But here is the second chapter of this story, still have no idea where I'm headed with it but we'll see.
Chapter 2
Fairy Tail Guild
"Naruto!" A pink haired teen mage yelled from across the room. Fist ablaze with fire he charged at a blond who was laying over on the counter presumably sleeping. "Today is the day that you'll fight me." He declared shoving several guild members out of the way as he closed in on his target.
"Natsu's at it again." A mage with dark blue hair said shaking his head. His friend across from him, a brown haired man smoking a pipe chuckled. "He never learns." They sighed.
Natsu had leaped into the air and was now descending, was determined to hit Naruto. The wide grin on his face only grew bigger as his fist connected with the blond's skull only for his expression to change to surprise when he exploded in smoke to reveal that he had punched through a chair.
His head whipped around as he sniffed around before he looked up, where he noticed Naruto crouched on the sealing glaring disapprovingly down at him before he disappeared in a wisp of smoke.
Natsu let out a roar out of frustration and ran out of the guild yelling out his target's name at the same time. Following him was a blue cat with wings crying out to the pink haired mage.
Several guild members started to laugh at what had just occurred.
"That idiot." Sneered young dark haired mage only dressed in shorts.
"Gray, your clothes." A brown haired female told the young male. Gray surprised started to frantically look for his missing clothes.
"Hinata!" The young lady then exclaimed from across the guild when said female shinobi entered the building.
Hinata who was dressed in civilian clothing gave her a short wave walking over to her.
"Hey Cana." The kunoichi greeted taking a seat next to the brunette.
She scanned through the guild but couldn't find the person of her interest.
"Natsu chased that man of yours off." Cana told her immediately.
"Again," Hinata let out a sigh, should she be surprised. It had been around 2 months now since they ended up in Magnolia and that guy never stopped bothering Naruto. Ever since he learned that they were ninjas from another dimension, he constantly wanted to fight the shinobis to test their strength. Naruto really wasn't up for a fight and so avoided the fire mage at all cost.
"He'll be back soon i guess." Hinata then said while waving at a white haired girl behind the bar. "I'll just wait for him here."
Cana looked at her oddly then smirked. "Sooo, are you finally gonna tell me?" She began as she scooted closer to the former kunoichi with a perverted smirk.
"Nothing happened Cana." The bluenette immediately answered.
"Come on Hinata! I know that's not true." Cana whined while glaring at her playfully. "Not even..." She leaned closer and whispered something inaudible into her ear.
A faint blush appeared on Hinata's cheek as she replied."Why do you even want to know that? Even if it did I wouldn't tell you about it."
The brunette's gasped, her facial expression changing into that of someone who just had been hurt. "I-i thought we were friends, Hinata." She spoke in a soft voice.
"We are, but this isn't really something anyone would just share." Hinata replied giggling.
"Fine! Then I'll just ask Naruto." Cana exclaimed with a huff.
The guild doors were pushed open revealing a scarlet haired female clad in armor dragging an unconscious Natsu behind her and holding the blue cat upside down by it's tail. Everyone watch as she looked around the guild before yelling out. "Gray, Lucy we have a mission. Meet me at the station in 5 and don't be late." She dropped the boy and his cat before turning around and exiting.
"Hmm, Erza seems to be in a good mood." Cana snickered her eyes followed a shirtless Gray and a blonde girl hurriedly leaving the guild. Gray hoisting Natsu over his shoulder while Lucy carried the cat. "Poor Natsu." She smirked.
"As long as he doesn't bother me." A new voice said making Cana jump in her seat. Sitting in front of her now was the person she was talking about not to long ago.
"When did you get back?" Hinata asked giggling at Cana's reaction.
"Not to long ago, was simple delivery mission just out of town. I decided to stay here and wait for you but Natsu showed up." Naruto answered leaning into his chair.
Hinata sighed. "I've heard."
"Ha ha, if it wasn't for Mira he would bother you too and not just Naruto." Cana laughed.
"Well Naruto-kun didn't ask for it, he only stopped Natsu-kun and Gray-kun from fighting around him." Hinata pointed out.
Cana shrugged. "He shouldn't have done that, he just made himself a target. Most of the time master Makarov just let's them fight it out." She explained and continued. "Natsu won't stop until he either fights Naruto and wins."
"Oh and what happens if Naruto is the one to win." Hinata then asked out of curiosity.
Cana took a swig from beer. "He'll keep challenging until he does win. Just look at how he keeps challenging Erza."
Naruto who just sat back listening the girls the entire time, finally decided to speak. "Well too bad for him, that's not happening." "Suit yourself." The brunette said peering into her bottle to see if there was still any of the substance left.
"You need to stop drinking so much Cana." Naruto said looking disapprovingly at the woman.
"Never!" Cana exclaimed then started giggling. "But...," she said before the blond could respond. "I'm willing to cut back on a few for the right information." She wiggled her eyebrows at him.
"Hmm, one question!" Naruto said crossing his arms. She nodded in agreement. "What do you like to know?"
Cana's smile changed into a wide grin as wagged her finger, motioning for him to come closer.
He leaned forward with the brunette meeting him half way. Hinata who already knew what it would be about shook her head and sighed. She watched Naruto listen and nod then whisper his reply back in her ear.
Cana's wide grin didn't falter the entire time until her eyes widen. The kunoichi then wondered what about then Naruto had shared with the brunette.
"No! That's not what I wanted to know!" She then exclaimed loudly. Naruto smirked. "Too bad. You should have been more specific about what you wanted to hear."
Cana growled. "Fine." She scowled while going to reach for her drink when she heard Naruto clear his throat. "I believe we had a deal."
She leveled him with the fiercest glare she could muster. "I hate you." She grumbled.
Naruto chuckled. "You'll get over it."
Cana pouted. "I won't."
At that moment their master Makarov appeared standing on the top balcony of the stairs. His elderly eyes scanning over the people present at the moment before he called out. "Naruto, Hinata and Cana in my office." His voice booming through the entire mage guild. He hoped of the balcony and walked back into his office.
"Okay...that was sudden." Cana spoke first. "I wonder what he wants from us?"
"I don't know but it must be something important." Hinata answered getting out of her seat.
Everyone's else in the guild watched the trio stand up and walk up the stairs that lead towards their master's private study.
After they knocked the master allowed them to enter.
"Good afternoon master." They surprisingly said unison.
He nodded with a smile. "How are my children doing?" He asked.
"We doing okay" "Great so far" "Couldn't be better" Came the replies from Hinata, Naruto and a grumpy Cana in that order.
"Well I'm glad to hear you all are doing well." Makarov said. "I admit this is sudden but the reason I called you all here is because of one of my old teammates wants to meet you two." His gaze moved from Naruto to Hinata.
"Why am I here then master." Cana then asked.
Makarov sighed. "Patients Cana, I was getting to that." He searched between the heap of papers on his desk until he found what he was looking for. "They've never been to Era so you will be showing them the way." He said handing her an envelope. "Give this to Yajima-sama for me and tell him that next time I will try come personally but right now I'm really busy."
"Oh boy, Era." Cana muttered playing with the envelope in her hands. "You can go now."
"Yes master." The three nodded and made their way out of the room.
"When is it a good time for us to leave?" Hinata asked Cana since she would he their guide.
"Uhm...we could go now." The brunette said after thinking about it for a second. "Explore the town for a bit while were there then rent a room for the night and we'll go see the old man's friend in the morning." She explained as they descended the stairs.
"Then I guess we'll leave now then." Naruto said when they stopped at the base of the stairs.
"Aren't you gonna pack some clothes for tonight and tomorrow?" Cana asked the duo. "Or do you have some kind of crazy ninja trick that helps you with it?" She continued before they could answer.
Hinata smiling at her was all the confirmation as she was the first to walk towards the exit.
"Really? You should show me!" Cana exclaimed following Hinata. "Maybe later."
Naruto nudged the brunette to walk faster.
Era was a fast and rich town, built around a high, rocky mountains. The mountains which nested the headquarters of the highest authority in Fiore, the Magic Council.
Naruto and Hinata were very astounded seeing it when they arrived in town. That building was very enormous and very hard to miss.
They went sightseeing in the big town for awhile before going too a restaurant to eat. Afterwards they went looking for a hotel where they could rent a room for the night. Lucky for them they found one that had free room containing two beds. Naruto had decided that he would sleep on the couch and Hinata and Cana would take the beds. Much to Cana's dismay who thought he could just share a bed with Hinata... or her if he wanted too. The latter suggestion was a joke on her part, Naruto turned down both offers however.
That night Cana sat humming to herself on her bed while she studied the piece paper in her hand, frowning ever so often. In front of her sat Hinata with an amused look on her face from watching her friend. Hinata had taken it upon her to show the brunette how basic sealing objects worked when the mage had asked her about it.
Until now Cana was only person in the guild with whom the two were really open with. They trusted her enough to share stories with her about their adventures in their own world, something they didn't really talk about with the other guild members. She was also the only person who had a slight grasp of what they were capable of doing, from what they had shown and told her.
"It's just like my cards only they have magic stored in them." Cana said after a few seconds.
"In a way yeah." Hinata replied nodding.
"Very handy, Erza could really use something like this." They both laughed at that. At that moment Naruto came out of the bathroom dressed in his sleeping attire and walked over to the couch where he would sleep.
"How's your little foxy buddy doing, is he still knocked out?" Cana asked chuckling.
Naruto let out a heavy sigh and nodded. "Yeah, it's taking longer then I thought."
"I'm sure they'll wake up really soon, Naruto-kun." This time is was Hinata who spoke. "Going beyond their limits to protect us really drained them, so it's going to take some time for them to recover completely. But everything is going to be alright." She said smiling reassuringly at him.
"Thanks Hinata." He said smiling back and started to prepare to go too sleep.
"Guess it's time to sleep then." Cana yawned in a very unladylike manner.
Hinata got off Cana's bed and went too her own. "Goodnight." She called and turned of the lights from her side.
"Goodnight." The other two in the room replied.
Naruto appeared in his mindscape something he's been doing every single day since he'd been in this world, to visit the one being who has been with him since birth.
'Kurama' He stared at the giant orange fox that was in a deep slumber. "Goodnight" He whispered while rubbing his hand across the bijuu's fur. Then as he had appeared he slowly faded away.
Well I'm finished for now. Next chapter expect some possible action when ever I decide to write it.
