Note: AU, there is no war. Sirius is an Aurors, Marlene plays for the Holyhead Harpies.

"Sirius, it's cold and wet and we just had three hours of Quidditch Boot Camp, which was almost as bad as the one James used to make us do at Hogwarts, and I want to shower and sleep, not muck about in the rain."

Marlene scowled and folded her arms across her chest.

Sirius pouted. "Please Mar?"

She took one look at his pleading face and sighed, taking his outstretched hand. He led her out in the middle of the field and it was difficult not to smile when he looked so carefree.

He grinned like a smug child who had just gotten his way and he walked backwards, eyes never leaving her face.

She held back a grimace as the rain plaster her hair onto her face.

"Stop sulking, Marley, and enjoy it!"

He pulled her in, and spun her out again causing her to laugh. She couldn't help but notice how happy he looked when she finally gave in and smiled, so she decided not to ruin the moment by being difficult.

He turned around and started running, with no real purpose or direction, he just grabbed her hand tighter and ran. She laughed as he swung her around to face him, tugging her closer using her hands, until she was close enough for him to brush the hair out of her eyes. She laughed again, cheeks flushed and hair windswept and wet.

He just stared at her for a moment, water streaming down both their faces, eyes bright and alive, but most of all, beautiful. Then he kissed her, softly, sweetly, drawing her closer so he could wind his arms around her waist and her arms around his neck.

When they finally broke apart after what seemed like hours, he rested his head on hers.

"What was that for?" she said, breathless.

He flashed her a cheeky smile. "Can't I kiss my girlfriend-"

"Fiancée."

His grin widened even more. "Can't I kiss my fiancée for no reason other than the fact that she's beautiful, and, if she'd let me, I'd spend the rest of my life just kissing her in the rain?"

Marlene fought down a blush. It was actually her that proposed. Sirius claimed he was going to, but she beat him to it. She didn't care who proposed, she just cared that was finally going to walk down the aisle, and that it would be Sirius who would be waiting for her at the end.

She tilted her head and pretended to consider his words. "Well, I don't know about forever, but I certainly wouldn't mind if you kissed me again now."

He grinned, and kissed her again, and again, and again. He spun her around and pulled her close, he kissed her lips, her neck, her nose, anywhere that he could because she was his and he was hers, and they were dancing in the rain and neither could be happier.
