BRAX P.O.V.
I sat at the kitchen table staring blankly at a piece of paper. I wasn't liking what it said and I knew Lani wouldn't either.
"Lani, can you come here for a second?" I asked
"Sure, what's up?" She asked getting up off the couch.
"Have a look at this" I said handing her the piece of paper.
She looked at it "why do you have my birth certificate?"
"I went to mums today to get it to open a bank account for you"
"What am I supposed to be looking at anyway?"

CHILDHOOD MEMORY
As an 18 year old Heath and a 13 year old Casey play soccer in the backyard with an 8 year old Lani a 21 year old Brax watching on as though he was protecting them, but what was about to happen no one could protect them. He heard the front door slam and someone stumble in to the lounge room.
"Heath!" He called out
He looked at Brax and realised.
"Come on Lani" he said picking up the ball and going behind the fence.
"Why?" She questioned following Heath to the fence.
"We're gonna play a game alright" he said kneeling down to her hight
"Didn't we already do that?"
Heath laughed "you need to be quiet alright"
Lani nodded her head in agreement.
The talking between. Brax and the man began to turn into shouting. Lani peered around the edge. She could see what was going on and she didn't like it.
"You leave my brother alone" she yelled running up to them.
She wouldn't dare push him, after all he was twice brax's size.
"He's not your brother"
"No!" Lani screamed slamming her foot on the ground.
"And your not my kid either" Danny said to her before walking off.
A scared and crying Lani ran to her room feeling unwanted.
LANI P.O.V.
I looked at Brax confused.
"No this can't be right" I said trying to make sense of it all
"I'm sorry" he said hugging me
"No" I said pushing him away and running to my room
I don't even know why I went there. I felt even more claustrophobic. I grew-up with them and now I find out their not my brothers. Who did I belong to? After I slammed the door behind me I lent on it. I slowly slid down trying to catch my breathe. I felt numb but most of all I felt worthless.
RICKY P.O.V.
"Hey is Lani alright?" I asked walking into the kitchen.
"I don't know" replied Brax
"What happened?"
He handed me a piece of paper. Now I could see why Lani reacted like that
"Should I go talk to her?" I asked
"It might be best to leave her for a while"
"Alright" I said
As I was walking down the hallway I could hear muffled crying coming from Lani's room.
"Lani" I said knocking on the door.
"Go away!" She replied
"Are you alright?" I asked knowing it was a stupid question.
"Yeah just fine" she replied sarcastically "I just found out that I'm a nobody"
"Hey it's alright it might just be some sort of mistake"
"Yeah me. I'm the mistake"
I didn't know what to say. "When I was little I used to wish I wasn't related to Adam."
"That's different"
She was right.
