Brax sat quietly at the kitchen table
"I need to tell you guys something" He said
"Brax not now" Replied Ricky
"Why whats going on" Asked Casey
"I made a mistake a long time ago and its come back to haunt me"
"What kind of mistake" I asked
"Its why the Barrett's hate us"
"But josh is fine with us" I said
"But not Andy" Said Casey
I actually didn't know anything about Andy.
"I killed their dad"
"What" Heath and Casey exclaimed at the same time
"When" I asked
"Mum only just found out she was pregnant with you and dad was in jail"
"What actually happened" Asked Casey
"Our old man and Johnny were in an armed rob together and dad got caught and one night Johnny came over looking for the money and ended up backhanding you" He said pointing at Casey.

"I don't remember that" He said
"You were to young"
"How'd ya do it" Asked Heath
"I met up with him and went to give him the money and he came at me so I pushed him"
"What'd you do with the body" I asked
"Got Adam to get rid of it"
"So you don't know where it is"
"No Lani, I don't"
"Well they can't pin it on you if there's no proof"
"But I killed him" He said raising him voice
Heath got up and walked out of the room.

"So you don't want me to owe up to it" He said
"Well the police aren't looking for you are they"
"I can't go around for the rest of my life knowing I killed someone"
I wanted to run out of there and scream but the lawyer side of me came out. Growing up around crime you begin to know the laws like the back of your hand.
My brothers a murderer.
No matter how many times I say it, I'll never be able to grasp the fact that he killed someone.
Casey got up and walked out as well leaving Brax, Ricky and I in the lounge room.
"So what are you gonna do?"
"Hand my self in"
"No you can't" I said almost on my hands and knees begging "It'll tear this family apart even more"
Brax knelt down to the front of the couch and put his hand on my cheek
"If anything happens to me, you just get as far away from this place as you can"
"Brax I can help you" I said crying
"you can't mate, you can't, you don't have it in ya. That's a very good thing"
I saw a tear run down his cheek. This hurt him as much as it hurt me
"Tell me you understand"
I nodded my head.
Him and Ricky walked out the door leaving me by myself. I had my time to scream but I didn't instead I curled up into a ball and let it all go. I could feel the air going out but nothing was coming in. I had to get out of there. I went to the basketball courts. I found a ball and began to throw the ball at the hop trying to get rid of my anger.
"Hey, you alright?" Mr McGuire asked walking up to me
"Yeah just fine" I said ditching the ball at the wall
"What happened" He said catching it
"I just found out my brothers a murderer"
"What, Casey?" He said
"No Brax" I said "Why would it be Casey"
"No reason, who'd he kill?"
"Johnny Barrett"
"Josh's dad"
"Yep"
There was a silence.
"Why don't you go home"
"why" I asked "I don't want to go back there"
"It might be the best thing"
He might have been right. I walked home dreading it. I walked through the door and Heath and Casey were there. Not a word was said. I walked into my room for a second. There was a knock at the door. I came back out.
"Is Darryl Braxton here?" The cop asked Heath
"Nah hes up the coast mate"
"Come on heath" He said
"Nah its alright heath I called them" Brax said coming out of the room
"What are you serious"
"Brax no" I said
"Darryl Braxton your under arrest for the murder of Johnny Barrett"
I watched the officer hand cuff him and drag him off followed by Heath and Ricky then everything went dark.
