RICKY P.O.V

'Im saying I love ya, and i hope you know that i'd never do anything to hurt you.'

Those words stuck in my mind forever. from the day he told me the truth to when he was arrested. If he said he'd never do anything to hurt me, why would he hand himself in?

As I was walking to the diner I was in a world of my own and didn't notice the person in front of me.
"Im sorry" I said looking up
"Its alright" He replied "No harm done"
His heavy accent caught me by surprise
"Ricky Right?" He asked
"Yeah" I replied, I looked at him "Nate"
He nodded his head "Hows Lani"
"Shes good, look i've got to go"
"Yeah, see you later"He said going the other way

Now that he mentioned Lani I couldn't stop thinking about her. I hadn't seen her since last night, I didn't even know if she came home. I was worried how Lani would react after all of this. What I was thinking I wasn't liking.

LANI P.O.V

I walked through the door thinking about what she had just told me. What was I supposed to do.
"Where have you been?" Asked Heath
"Mangrove"
"Why were you in mangrove?" Asked Casey
"Went to see mum"
"Why" He asked
"I told her about Brax"
"You did what" Said Heath
"She had a right to know"
They both looked at me
"She may have been a complete bitch to us when we were little but she didn't ditch us like dad"
"So what does this mean"
"It means nothing Case I only went to tell her about Brax because he's her son"
"What are you doing tomorrow" Asked Heath
"Why" I asked
"Brax's trial is on tomorrow"
"That quick, it hasn't even been a week"
"I know" He said "Bianca and I are going in my ute and Casey's taking Brax's if you want to come"
"What about Ricky"
"I don't know"
"We'll Brax will want to see her"
"Doe's she want to see him?" Said Casey
He had a point, I don't think Ricky felt the same about Brax anymore. It was only a day and she was almost over him, at least she hadn't moved on
"Do you know if mums coming?" Asked Casey
"I didn't tell her about the trial because I didn't know so no she doesn't know"
"I'll tell her" Heath said walking out the door with his phone

HEATH P.O.V

I didn't ring mum instead I went over to mangrove to see her. I pulled up in the driveway as she came out the door.
"What an honor, two of my kids come and see me in one day. Thats more than I get in a year"
"Brax's trial is tomorrow"
"That soon eh"
"What did you talk to Lani about"
"Nothing, why"
"Mum don't lie to me"
"Why would I lie to you"
"It hasn't stopped you before" I said "Don't try and mess with her head, she's finally got her life sorted out and she doesn't need you to mess her up"
"How would I mess her up"
"Just look at us three" I yelled getting back in the car

I backed out and drove off. I never thought i'd hear that coming from me, Brax was more likely to say that. I didn't want mum to mess with her because I wanted her to have a good life, unlike us three.
