Chapter 3

Heat. It surrounded me from every angle. And mobs, hissing and moaning below. The cage I was in was boiling, so much as I could feel the heat through my boots. And one single move sent the thing rocking from one side to the other. My coat was burned and muddy, long thrown on the floor, as well as my shirt. In my hand, I still had my sword, and around my neck, I wore the pendant Lomadia gave me. I hope she still has hers. I wonder if I'll ever see her again. If I'll ever hear her laugh. If I'll ever get to hold her in my arms. I was even missing that little owl.

"Ssspaceman."

Great. Standing on the ledge, a few meters away, was the red eyed freak. His pure white skin was pulled and stretched in such a way that he looked like he was frowning, his red eyes wondering around, never landing on one thing. Suddenly, a rock came flying out of no where, hitting Israphel on the head. Quickly, he turned and hissed, coming more like a creeper than I've ever seen him before, hunching his back as his thin lips pulled back, revealing grey teeth, as sharp as knifes. Blood like substance dripped slowly as his lizard like tongue tasted the humid air around him.

"Friendsss of yoursss sspaceman," he stated, slowly turning his face to look at me, his tongue licking his lips as he straightened himself. "They've come for you, but ssshal leave empty handed. I'm not letting them get away with a demigod! And ssuch a young one at that!" And with that, he dropped the cage lower, just above the lava. I felt the cage dip slightly more as he jumped on, holding on to the chain.

"Hello friendssss," his voice echoed, mobs stopping, heads turning. My friends and loved ones turn, jaws dropping as they saw me. I wasn't surprised. Scars covered my chest and face, as dried blood coated my nose and was flowing down from above my eyebrow. Lips were sealed shut by a bandage, to tight around the mouth. "I believe you came for thisssss." Israphel shook the cage, causing me to stumble as he laughed. Honeydew winced and Lomadia stepped forward, before being pushed behind Ridge.

"Let him go," Ridge said strongly, pointing his sword towards Israphel.

"You want to me to let your brother go demigod?" Israphel teased, leaning forward on the cage, making it tip. I was now facing the lava, a meter above as my chest was slammed into the bars. With a whimper, I looked up. Everyone looked shocked but Ridge looked hurt.

"Dimittite eum ire*," Ridge's eyes began to glow as he snarled.

"Non ruunt. Volo loqui*," Israphel answered. He twisted his hand, and sand slowly fell, making a bridge. Without haste, he stepped off my cage, leaving me swinging.

With my hands, as he was not looking, I desperately pulled on my mouth, pulling the bandage away.

"Frater*!" I called. I don't know where it came from, but I suddenly knew what to do, Grabbing the lock on the cage with both my hands, I closed my eyes.

Heya guys! Im so sorry if this is confusing, but it's an idea I've been having go through my head for so long. What did you think? You want me to carry on? Feel free to give me ideas and I'll try to write them in. And don't worry, more Xephmadia will be coming :D

P.S- I'm working on something else at the same time as this ;)
