CASEY P.O.V
"Were gonna call it a night" Heath said getting up from the table with Bianca
"OK, Night" I said
"Don't go to bed too late Miss Darcy"
"I won't dad"
"Yeah I' gonna call it a night too" Said Ricky
After Bianca and Ricky went next door and Bianca went to bed Lani and Darcy got up and went over to DVD's.
"Now the oldies are off to bed, what do you want to watch" Said Lani
"Well what is there?" I asked
"I dunno" She said looking at me
"Mystic River, American Beauty, The Matrix and Fight Club"
"Oh no" Lani said knowing what the answer would be
"Matrix and Fight club"
"Fight Club first"
"That's pretty girly movies for ex-gang guys" Lani said coming back and sitting on the couch
"Their Ricky's" I replied
"Sure" She said
Halfway through the movie Lani and Darcy were sitting on the ground doing something with lackey bands.
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Looms bands" replied Lani
"What are they"
"You make wrist bands with them"
"I'll make you one uncle Casey" Said Darcy
"Make it pink and purple" Said Lani
"No Blue and green" I replied
Childhood Memory
"we need a code" 6 year old Lani said to Brax
"What do you mean" He asked
"What if something happens and we can't talk to each other, like DoCS take me away"
"DoCS won't take you away"
"We still need a code though"
"OK you come up with and tell me later"
Lani walked into her room and came back out with a piece of paper
"Here you go" She said to Brax
He looked at it and read:
"Red: Love,
Blue: Peace,
Yellow: Caution,
Orange: Happiness,
Pink: Friendship,
Purple: Magic,
Green: Life"
She then looked at him and handed him a plaited wristband with the colours Red, Blue, Pink and Green.
LANI P.O.V
Looking at the multi-coloured loom bands, it reminded me of things we used to do when we were little. Instead of communicating with words we would use colours.
"Blue and Green, Life and Peace"I said
"How do you remember that" Said Casey
"I was the one that started it"
"What you guys talking about" Asked Darcy
"Braxton Code" I said "Your dad might teach you it, if he still remembers it"
"I've still got that wristband you made me" Said Casey "And Brax still wears his"
"Except it's brown now"
"Yeah. what does Brown mean?"
"Dunno. Never had a brown texta"
"Can you teach me it" Asked Darcy
"Sure" I replied "Whose bracelet are you making?"
"Dad's"
"OK. what do you want the code to be"
"Happiness, Friendship, Love and peace"
"OK. Blue, red, orange, pink" I said off the top of my head
I thought for a second, maybe I could make Brax one. I eventually made one long enough to fit Brax's wrist. I hoped it did anyway. I put it on my wrist and went and sat next to Casey
"OK, Next movie" I said
"You change it" He said to me
"You" I replied
"I'm a cripple"
"Stop your whining you two" Said Darcy "Your carrying on like an old married couple"
Casey and I looked at her as she changed the DVD.
"Just remember were your Aunty and Uncle" I said to her
"Yeah I know, how unlucky's that" She said coming back and sitting next to me
"Oi" I said pulling her onto my lap and tickling her
Not long through The Matrix I started to get bored again
"I don't see how you can like this"
"Why, it's good"
"You can see the cable holding the alien guy up"
"OK so it is old, but its a goodie"
"Yeah it's so good Darcy's finally fallen asleep"
"Aw that's so cute"
"I can't move, I think i'm gonna lose circulation to the rest of my arm in a second"
Not long later I could feel myself slowly fall asleep
"Last to stay awake turns the TV off alright" I mumbled to Casey
He moaned in agreement
HEATH P.O.V
As I walked out of the flat, walking over to next door, I could hear the TV going. I looked at my watch. It was too early for Casey and Lani to be up. I walked in and saw the TV on with Lani, Casey and Darcy asleep on the couch. I had to take a photo of this before I woke them up.
"Hey, Dumbo's" I yelled
"Shut up Heath" Moaned Casey
"What time is it" Asked Lani
"8" I replied
"What" said Lani getting up
"Do I have to go to school" Asked Darcy
"Yes now hurry up" I replied
"But Lani doesn't" She said
"It's different Darce, I'm going to see Uncle Brax" She said "So we need at least one Braxton going to school today"
"Alright" She said going next door
"If your quick I'll do your hair" Lani yelled
Darcy quickly ran into the flat next door and got her school uniform on and had her breakfast.
"Thanks" I replied
"don't mention it" She said walking to her bedroom
"What time are we going to see Brax?" asked Casey
"12" I replied
CASEY P.O.V
"Come on we've got to go now if we want to get there on time" I said walking out the door
"I'm driving!" Lani yelled running to the car almost bowling me over
"Hey I hope you don't drive like you run" I said getting in the passanger seat
"Don't worry as long as your not a pedestrian"
"Don't forget to put your L plates on" Heath said handing them to her
"Alright" She said getting out and putting one on the back "Done"
"Just don't stall my ute" Said Heath as he put his belt on
"Why can't you drive Brax's" I asked
"Two reason's. Reason one it's auto and reason two, it's only a two seater"
"Right" I replied
Miraculously we made it to the prison in one piece. We went into the yard where we were going to meet Brax. We sat down at a bench. I heard a gate shut and turned around. It was Brax
LANI P.O.V
I heard the gate shut behind me. I turned around and saw Brax come towards us. I had the urge to run up to him but then I remembered we weren't allowed to. He came down and sat with us.
"Hey Brax" Said Casey
"Hey Mate, how are ya"
"Good, considering"
"Shouldn't you be at school" He said to me
"Your more important than school" I said to him
"Happy Birthday, I know it's a bit late"
I felt like crying, I didn't want to be reminded of that day
"She can drive now" Said Heath
"Can you now" Said Brax
"I'm not that bad too" I said
Heath coughed and Casey laughed so I corked them both in the side of the leg
"Oi, if the guards see you doing that you'll be in here with me" He joked
I laughed at him "I miss you"
"I miss you guys too" He replied "How's Ricky"
"She's good, been doing her own thing but she's coping"
"Good, that's good and the restaurant"
"It's alright" Said Casey "Hard trying to run it with the gym though"
"Lani can help you can't she"
"I already tried" I said
"And what happened"
"I can't handle it"
"Your dyslexia"
"Yep, but i'm getting help at school for it"
"That's good, Hey I like your bracelet" He said pointing at my arm
I looked at it "Darce and I made them last night"
"It's bright"
"I made you one" I said pulling one out of my pocket handing it to him
"Thanks" He said putting it on
Before we knew it time was up. I just wanted frive minute's more with my brother but the guards wouldn't allow it. Casey and I got up and walked out leaving Heath behind

"The officer said you had a visitor yesterday" I asked
"Ah yeah, it was just the lawyer" He replied
"What did he want to talk about"
"Just my appeal"
"And..."
"There's no change" He replied
