My Sacrificed Heart
Chapter 2: The Darkness is My Curse
That morning, Reborn awake by the sound of squealing outside of his humble house, and he was annoyed beyond the limit and starts shooting randomly which in turn makes half of the fanatic women ran away in fear, but another half stalking him in the name of 'Dangerous Love'.
And now, our mysterious hitman in mission was walking towards the bakery for a cup of delicious espresso in the morning. And with the obvious talent, he still is wondering on why the brunet still opened a bakery instead of moving into a café. As he walked on the pedestrian road, he could saw people crowding in front of the bakery without entering it. 'Why are those idiots crowding in front of the bakery? Does it not open yet?' That thought brought in the uncomfortable feeling inside his gut. But as soon as it came, it disappears.
'What was that?'
The moment Reborn arrived in front of the bakery, the feeling came again, but much stronger than the last time. It was so strong that he almost staggered back in fear, but as a hitman he learnt about hiding emotions like an expert. He followed the place his instinct guide him with a fast pace, but never into a run.
"Whatever this is, this must better be important."
Little Tsuna skipped happily towards his home with a paper clutched in his hand. "Mama and Papa would be proud of Tsu-kun!" Tsuna said while remembering the reason why he was very happy that afternoon. He got 2 stars for his drawing! Now isn't that wonderful!
After minutes skipping on the road, he finally arrived in front of his house. He walked to the front door and knocked twice. "Mama, Tsu-kun's back!" But the door was never opened by the cheerful mother of his. Instead, it kept closed even when Tsuna keep knocking the door. 'Probably mama goes to the shop...' he thought and thus, he went to the lawn in search for the key under one of the pots. When he passed by the glass sliding doors, he noticed something heartbreaking.
Inside the living room, he found both of his parents lying on the floor with a pool of blood underneath them. Now, Tsuna may not know what exactly happened, but his mother once said that if a person got red liquid pouring out of his wound, that person must get the man in white coat quickly besides him! And now, Tsuna quickly rushed to the doors and tried to push it so he could entered, but it was locked! "MAMA! PAPA!" Tsuna screamed desperately, which in turn causing the neighbors came and they all gasp in shock.
"Quick! We must bring them to the hospital!"
Two bulky men knocked down the wooden front door using their shoulders, and the others quickly goes to the bleeding couple, trying to held the blood back from pouring out like a waterfall. A wise neighbor used the phone and called for two ambulances. "Hello? Help! I need two..."
Little Tsuna stared blankly at the bleeding parents oblivious to the surrounding. And unnoticed to anyone, even himself, his eyes changed into deep sunsets pair of eyes.
Then, everything went black.
A pair of caramel eyes fluttered open and once waking up from the unconscious state, and slowly he sat up on the cold ground. He covered his eyes with his palm and tears dripping down slowly from the wet palm. Soon, sobs of sadness escaped from his trembling lips.
'Why...? Why suddenly I remembered about that painful memory! WHY?'
Then, echoes of footsteps filled the dark room along with a sinister chuckle that makes Tsuna flinched in fear and terror. Tsuna quickly rubbed his teary eyes and wobbled to stand up properly in order to run away, but before he could make a step, a pair of cold sunset eyes glowed in front of him. His eyes widened in utter shock and he found himself frozen on the spot. The pair of cold sunset eyes was searching into him, into his soul as they're trying to find out his weakness and nightmare hidden deep inside him.
Suddenly, a blinding light erupted through the darkness and lighten the abyss of terror, but instead of giving comfort and relief, it gave him another whole new level of terrifying view because he could finally saw the man in front of him: the man who was the source of his sadness and loneliness despite a lot of people around him.
When he was awake, Tsuna could only saw darkness, darkness, and more darkness. No matter where he ran, he could only saw eternal darkness, as if he was inside an endless tunnel at nowhere. Seeing the hopeless case of escaping, little Tsuna fall on the floor with tears falling down from his caramel eyes down to the puffy cheeks before ending at his chin and dripped down onto his lap.
"Mama...! Papa...!" He sobbed sadly in failed attempt to call his parents to aid him at the darkness. But he stopped in fear when unknown echoes of footsteps walking towards him from his back. Before he knew it, a hand grasps his shoulder in comforting action. But the sinister voice from beside his ear sent cold shiver all over his body.
"Ciao, mia amore - Tsunayoshi."
"I-it's you! What do you want from me?!" Tsuna shouted at the figure in front of him. The figure has defying-gravity brown hair, a pair of orange eyes, a sinister smirk, and look exactly like him in matter of appearance except for the eyes, but not in the matter of aura. The carbon copy of his has the aura of superiority and darkness.
The doppelganger tilted his chin upwards to meet his caramel eyes with his own orange eyes. Just looking at the orange eyes makes Tsuna recoiled back into the memories of the past: the first meeting of both of them.
Little Tsunayoshi turned back slowly and there, he saw it; a pair of sunset orange eyes gleaming inside of the darkness and turned him scared. "H-HHHIIIIIIEEEEEE!" Tsuna shrieked in terror and scrambled away from the scary eyes. The owner of the eyes frowned at the action of the brunet but he still precede his assault on the terrified boy. Tsuna pushed all his strength to get up and promptly ran away into the endless darkness, but the owner of the scary eyes just smirked.
"No matter where you run away, I will catch you mia amore~"
Little Tsuna keep running despite the scary echoes following him, and he tripped on the ground as his ankle was bruised after running for a long time. The sudden fall makes the chaser caught him easily and pulled him into their lap. "I told you...You can't run away from me~!" The voice purred behind his red ears. Then, Tsuna sobbed out the question he dreaded to ask.
"W-who are you?"
"Fufufu. My name is Cielo, your eternal partner," Cielo said to the brunet and he flicked his fingers in a snap! Suddenly, the whole darkness was filled with the scenery of a peaceful clearing inside woods. Sound of small animals and breeze of the wind bring out peacefulness inside Tsunayoshi. But even though the peacefulness and calmness filled him whole, Tsuna couldn't get relax even the slightest.
Tsuna glared at the entity in front of him with pure hatred, but instead it looks like a pout, a very cute pout. He then slapped the offending hand – it feels just like slapping my own hand – away from his chin and coldly glared straight into the freaky orange eyes – it strangely looked like the Halloween season – with all hatred he ever got in himself. "What are you planning this time, Cielo?" he hissed his venom to the doppelganger. Cielo chuckled in amusement. "Fufu~ Nothing yet, my dear. But I'm here to warn you.
He circling around the brunet and smirked when the said brunet flinched on his first step. When he stops at his earlier spot, he leaned in towards the scared Tsuna and whispered into his ear, "If you ever tell anybody about us, I will eliminate the whole Namimori. You are mine and always mine, now and forever, and I will make sure you will NEVER escaped from me, got it?" Tsuna nodded fearfully, not for himself, but for the others around him.
Cielo smirked before the area around them starts disappearing, along with him. "Well, now is the time for you to wake up. And ignore the dead corpses when you wake up in reality," he said before he disappears into black particles and the white room around Tsuna shatters into nothingness.
"Tsu-kun wants mama and papa back! Give them to me you evil mister!" Little Tsuna shrieked hysterically at the frowning Cielo. Cielo continue frowning as the yelling went further and when he finally had enough, he forcefully kissed the brunet right on the lips, successfully shut him down. Tsuna blushed madly at the kiss.
"Now you finally shut up. And there's no way I'm going to give back your parents. They're in the way of our happy future~" Cielo gained back his smirk and continue, "Those bastards are better dead! They tried to separate US! I will NEVER forgive them! So I do that to them!"
"I murdered them mercilessly for us."
The moment his eyelids fluttered opened; the scene that greeted him was pure horror. Before him was a bloody massacre: bloods painted everywhere, bodies scattered everywhere, and organs – oh the horror – covered his whole body. Tsunayoshi shakily stand up from his lying position and choked when an eyeball stuck at his throat. With shaky breath, he vomit on the bloody ground. When he was finished vomiting, he stepped back until his back reached a crumbling wall and cried.
Nobody could saw him, nobody could embrace him, and nobody could save him from the loneliness. Because...
His destiny of loneliness was decided long ago, without his approval. He is, after all, only a cursed doll.
