They were in the van driving through the streets following Mrs O'Leary, Percy was driving and everyone was still in silence before Jason looked over at Annabeth but paused not sure how to go on but Annabeth was already looking at him and he sighed and said. "The prophecy-it mentions a curse doesn't it? It must mean Will; every little thing in the quest has led up to this. But Will…Will is going to be devastated, isn't he?"

Annabeth nodded thinking about it, she's never seen Will show any real emotion but now that she understands why he never did, she's worried that it will be all too much for him, to find that he may as well have said all those things for fun. "Piper mentioned a curse, didn't she?" she finally asked and Jason flinched but nodded. "Piper must have known or found out about it when Will was with us…and that made Will desperate because if she found out about it then that would mean she would have sympathised with Will therefore beginning to like him and Will didn't want that so he tried to stop her and he didn't notice the truck smash into him." She thought aloud and Jason looked away at this.

"It's not Will's fault for her death, is it?' Jason finally asked and Annabeth slightly blinked at him at the question but in truth even Annabeth didn't know the answer to it, on one hand it was Will's fault, but on the other they knew Will didn't mean for it to happen. It was entirely an accident.

"In some parts it is, but I think if we troubled Will about this it wouldn't be right. Will is going through enough trouble without this anyway." Annabeth said glancing out the window to the pedestrians walking down the streets.

No one spoke after that and it was a silent drive till they arrived at an empty warehouse and Mrs O'Leary jumped up and down in front of it, obviously telling them that she had found Will. When they had all gotten out of the van they just stood there gazing up at the building. Finally Leo ran a hand through his curly hair. "Bit run down isn't it." They all shrugged at this and it was Percy who was brave enough to go up to the door of the warehouse. He shook the handle a few times, but it wouldn't budge. After a few more tries Percy, fed up, kicked it open and walked in.

Inside it was nothing like a warehouse, but more like being inside an old English house. The warehouse was set out as a large house, but the entrance hall looked like any normal entrance room, carpeted floor and plain wallpaper, plain furniture and a staircase, but there were no doors, so whatever was past this room on this floor was a mystery to them.

Nico was the first to walk forward and the others followed hesitantly looking around the bare room, it was dusty and the steps were dusty enough to show footsteps. There were two sets of footsteps and the others glanced at each other warily. One pair was Will's; the other was a person from the Darkwood's.

At this thought Annabeth pushed past Nico and sprinted up the stairs and the others quickly followed, they came to a hallway with two rooms coming off it, both doors were open but the one straight in front of them was lit whilst the other room was dark and they could see a foot lying on the ground, whoever it connected to they didn't know as it was blocked.

Annabeth paused at the top but made her way to the room in front of them, not even glancing into the dark room. When she entered the room, she glanced at the body, though she'll never admit it, she was actually expecting Will lying there, so she was a bit surprised to find some bald guy lying there.

She bent over the body whilst the others looked on and after checking his vital points she sat back on her heels and opened her mouth to say something but she was interrupted by a voice and everyone turned around to see who it was.

"He's not dead." Will said at the doorway, not looking at anyone but Annabeth but they all just stared at him. "I didn't kill him…"

"Why not? I mean, he 'killed' your father?" Leo blurted out and Will snapped his gaze onto him and they were reminded of Ella, and they could see the similarity between the two, they had the same chilling gaze, but they knew that it was nothing to do with being siblings, the gaze was something you learnt, like the 'wolf stare' the Roman's gained after spending time with Lupa. But this gaze was gained by being raised by George Darkwood.

"Revenge is pointless; it does nothing to help you. If you strive for revenge your whole lives then get your 'revenge' what then?" Will asked but it sounded like he was asking himself the question and he shook his head. "I wanted to put them in pain and I realised that my revenge is a pointless thing compared to what has already been lost. Imogene has been a cause of my thirst of vengeance; I was blinded by my thirst to not see what was happening right in front of me. I could have stopped her death, and for that I apologise."

No words were spoken after that and Will looked down at the ground and finally spoke. "Why isn't Piper with you?" He asked and Jason jerked back taken by surprise and Annabeth stared at him with a slight frown whilst the others looked down to the ground. Will slowly turned to look at them with a small frown at them and Annabeth shook her head.

"Will I'm so sorry but….Piper's dead."
