5: Actually, just the way you kiss me

I've officially been sitting here for 4 hours writing about your lips on mine. That's normal right?

Remember when we first started dating and I would ask for permission to kiss you? Oh what interesting times those were. Now I just steal them, hope you don't mind.

She woke up to birds chirping and blinding sunlight, sheets tangled around her legs and a sleeping cat beside her feet. Austin's soft breathing told her that she was the only one awake, even though it was almost 8 and the wedding startes at 1 and she and Austin had to be there at 11:30 because she was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman. His older sister Caroline was getting married today. Now if he would just wake up.

"Austin," she said in a singsong voice.

"Mmm," he rolled over to face the window.

"Wake up," she whispered.

"I don't wanna," he mumbled.

"Austin," she kissed his cheek, "awaken."

"Shhh," he waved her away.

"Come on, we have to get ready," she reminded him. He didn't say anything so she assumed he was either falling back asleep or mentally preparing himself to start the day, and she highly doubted it was the latter.

"Austin Monica," she nudged him with her elbow. He opened his eyes long enough to glare at her and then rolled back over on his side.

She leaned over and kisses the corner of his lips, "Prince Austin," she began, kissing his temple, "of Moon's Mattress Kingdom," she kissed his forehead, "it's time to start your day."

"Ally, you're being a royal pain in the-"

"I love you," she smiled innocently.

"Shut up," he rolled his eyes.

"Tell me, where's the fun in doing that?" she laughed.

"Alright, I'm up," he sighed, sitting up.

"Nice to see those lovely eyes of yours," she grinned.

"Mhm," he nodded, "well good morning," he said as he leaned over for a kiss, knowing how Ally felt about pre-teeth brushing kisses.

"Morning breath, Austin!" she pushed him away.

"But I love you," he pouted.

"I love you too," she added, "minus the dragon breath."

"I'm your dragon."

"Well someone call Hiccup because I need to know how to train my dragon," she hardly finished getting the sentence out before she burst into giggles.

"It was only a matter of time before you brought that movie into our dragon conversation," he sighed.

One year for your birthday, I swear I bought you a stuffed Toothless but it mysteriously disappeared from my bag and Dez all of a sudden had a new plush toy on his bed- by the way, next time you see Dez, could you tell him that he's too old to have 87 stuffed animals? I think he needs to hear it from someone other than me for once.

"Ally, you didn't fill the cup with cold water, did you?" he questioned, spitting some toothpaste into the sink. They were standing side by side, brushing their teeth in front of the bathroom mirror.

"No,, it's lukewarm," she smiled.

"Okay good because you know I have sensitive teeth," he reminded her.

"I know, I know, my poor baby," she teased.

"Hey, Ally," he said.

"Huh?" she wiped some toothpaste off her face.

"I love you," he told her.

"I know," she nodded. He took a sip of the water and swished it around in his mouth, finishing with a gargle.

"Minty fresh," he smiled at his reflection.

Ally grabbed his arm and kissed him, trying hard not to laugh.

"A-lly!" he groaned, wiping the toothpaste away.

"I love you," she giggled.

"Royal pain in the ass," he coughed into his hand, "I mean what?"

"Very funny," she rolled her eyes.

"I love you," he smiled.

"How many times have you said that this morning?" she teased.

"Just trying to put our love into words," he shrugged, "but I don't think I'll ever be able to."

Remember when Trish banned us from her house because we were "too cute" and she was "trying to eat". Psh, nonsense.

"You're disgustingly cute."

"I try."

I remember when we first got together and everyone warned us that "the honeymoon phase won't last".

And look at us now, we still make people uncomfortable with our affection. Now that's true love.
