This is a new chapter, it hasn't just been rewritten like the last six, it's completely new, so enjoy!

Musa awoke on top of Riven the next morning, clutching one of his hands. He was still fast asleep. She couldn't help but smile- he looked so peaceful when he was asleep, completely unlike himself. She rolled off of him and laid her head on his chest, never letting go of his hand. "I love you," she whispered and kissed him on the cheek. He stirred and she saw him smile.
"Now I know you're awake!" she teased and prodded his chest playfully.
"No I'm not," he replied and wrapped his enormous arms around her and squeezed. Musa giggled and sat up. She leaned over and stared down at his face. Riven opened his eyes and gazed back into hers.
"You're perfect," he said, reaching up to brush her messy, blue hair behind her ear.
"Far from it," she said, but kissed him as a thank you.
The pair of them carried on having a cute morning- kissing and stroking each other and saying how much they loved each other, but eventually Musa decided that she had to tell Riven the truth.
"Riven, I lied to you," she began.
"What?" he questioned, his sweet, morning voice quickly vanishing.
"I wanted to get pregnant," she admitted. "I knew it would get me out of marrying Jared, and my friend at the health clinic agreed to fake my results before I even tried to. I was never on the spell. I'm sorry."
Riven sat up. Their cute morning was evidently over. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, furious at Musa for keeping something like this from him.
"I know I should have, I just thought that you'd never agree to it and wouldn't want to be with me anymore..."
"You think I'm an awful person, don't you?" Riven scowled.
"No, I don't. I just get paranoid because, well, I just can't believe that anyone could love me as much as I love you." Musa started to cry. Why was it so difficult for her to be happy?
To her dismay, Riven got out of bed and didn't say anything. She watched as he pulled on a t-shirt and sweatpants, then fiddled with his hair for a minute in the mirror. Their eyes met in the reflection.
"You know I have a hard enough time trusting people as it is," Riven said. "Without you lying to me."
"Riven, I..." Musa began to defend herself, but the magenta haired specialist dismissed her.
"Yeah, whatever" he said, and left her room.
Musa watched him as he walked away and winced at the sound of the door closing. Her tears had stopped falling and now she felt too upset to even cry. She just felt numb. She knew that Riven was difficult and she knew that you had to watch your step around him, but he had been so cold.
"Everything is my fault. You would have reacted in exactly the same way if this was the other way round," she told herself. "Probably worse."
She sighed and found herself just staring at the band posters on her wall, her mind blank, then the silence and solitude was abruptly interrupted by her cell phone beeping. Hoping it would be a text from Riven, she reached over to check her phone. It wasn't Riven. It was from Stella.
"Muuuuussaaa where are you?! Everyone's waiting downstairs! Come on I want to go downtown I'm so sick of everyone moping around here! xxxx" the text read.
Musa sighed. She'd have to go into town with everyone. She didn't want her friends to know that her and Riven had fallen out, especially not Stella. She got up and got dressed quickly into one of her favourite band tees, some denim shorts and her trusty old Vans. She applied a little makeup and brushed through her hair- she didn't want Riven to see her looking rough after they'd had an argument. Then she headed downstairs to meet her friends, who she found in the hallway waiting to go. They all looked impatient and restless, except Riven, who was leaning against the wall and as usual, looking grumpy.
"Finally!" Stella exclaimed. "How long does it take you to look like... that?" she said, eyeing up Musa's fashion choices.
"Longer than you'd think, Stella!" Musa said, her mood picking up thanks to her hilarious best friend. She went over to put her arm around Stella and pull her out the front door.
"Hey! Hey! Watch the hair!" Stella objected and Musa laughed. The rest of the group followed outside after them, with Riven reluctantly bringing up the back. Musa walked downtown with Stella, and consequently Brandon.
"So, Musa," Brandon said. "Someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?"
Musa looked at him, confused. "What?"
Brandon nodded his head back in Riven's direction and laughed.
"Oh..." was all Musa could reply. She didn't really feel comfortable talking about this with Brandon and she'd hoped her friends wouldn't have noticed Riven's behaviour.
Realising that Musa was upset, Stella gave her boyfriend a disapproving look and Brandon realised his mistake.
"Hey Musa," he went on, trying to comfort her. "You know how Riven can be, and no relationship is perfect. Take mine and Stella's for example..."
Stella glared at him.
"Err... well, I always say that Stella's beautiful without all the fancy, expensive outfits, but she insists on buying them anyway. I wish she would listen to me sometimes," Brandon said, carefully wording his way around the fact that Stella was very stubborn.
"Oh Shnookums! You are so cute!" she said, obviously missing the underlying meaning and kissing her boyfriend happily. Their happiness made Musa smile. Stella and Brandon were ridiculously corny, but they were meant to be together and one day they'd rule Solaria, and she couldn't deny that they'd do an excellent job.
"Shnookums is right, Musa," Stella said. "True love is about loving each other for your imperfections! Brandon's not even a prince and I still love him!"
Brandon laughed nervously and Musa shook her head and smiled at him. "You're right, Stella. And I do..." Musa said. It was the first time she'd ever openly admitted to loving Riven in front of her friends. "It's just so hard when it feels like he doesn't feel the same."
"Oh believe me, he does," Brandon said, and Musa looked at him inquisitively. "He'd never admit it to us, but we all knew. He's crazy about you Musa. He used to put extra effort into doing his hair when he knew we were going to see you, and I never saw it for myself but Timmy said he had loads of pictures of you two together in his room."
Musa blushed. Did Riven really keep pictures of her?
"And let's be realistic, Musa," Stella continued for her boyfriend. "Did he run a mile when you told him you were pregnant? No! He may be all miserable but he's still here and that speaks volumes!"
Stella and Brandon were right- Musa was overreacting. Riven had a right to be annoyed; she had lied to him after all, but he'd reacted surprisingly well to the whole situation and Musa knew deep down that he'd come around from their argument eventually. She needed to start trusting him more. "You two are the best!" she exclaimed, forcing herself in between them and putting her arms around each of their shoulders. "Thank you!"
Their time downtown was pretty uneventful. They spent most of it trailing around stores after Stella, who ended up spending no money as Brandon bought all of the expensive things that she wanted for her. He couldn't really afford it himself, but being the First Royal Squire to Prince Sky meant he had access to the royal funds of Eraklyon. Musa overheard him whisper: "I'll pay you back when I'm King of Solaria!" to Sky as he paid for a $2000 handbag. They went to a few record stores, where Musa recommended music for each of her friends and managed to pick up the new Bullet For My Valentine album for herself. Stella also wanted to go in a few baby stores to buy outfits for Musa's unborn child, but Musa reminded her that she didn't know if it was a boy or a girl, mostly as an excuse not to go baby shopping as it made her feel uncomfortable.
After a few hours, they finally decided to go and get pizza from the pizzeria next to the fountain. Musa was just ordering a double pepperoni one for herself when Riven came over and paid for it without a word to her, then walked away and sat down with everyone else. With her pizza, Musa went and sat down awkwardly in the empty seat next to him. Noticing he hadn't bought his own pizza, Musa offered for him to share hers. He didn't say anything, but took a slice. All of their friends were also sharing pizzas with their partners- Sky and Bloom had double cheese and chicken, Stella and Brandon went with Hawaiian, Layla and Nabu also had pepperoni, Tecna and Timmy had every topping which they divided between them exactly and Flora and Helia stuck with the vegetarian option. The conversation was pretty mediocre, until Layla burst out with: "So, Musa. When are you going to tell your Dad?"
Musa almost choked on her pizza. Obviously she knew she had to tell her father, but she had no idea when, or how, she was going to do it. "Errr..." she started.
"You need to do it soon!" Stella insisted. "You don't want to leave it too late and for him to notice and think that you're just getting fat!"
"That would be awkward," Bloom agreed.
"Speaking of which, you must have been pregnant, what, over a month now?" said Flora. "You'll start to show soon."
Musa sighed. She couldn't keep lying to her best friends, who had always been honest with her. She had to tell them the truth too.
"To be honest, guys," she confessed. "I haven't been completely honest with you." She looked down at her feet, not wanting to look any of them in the eye.
"What do you mean?" questioned Flora.
"I didn't get pregnant the last night at Alfea," Musa admitted. There was no point in dragging this out. It had gone on long enough.
"What? So you're not even pregnant?" Stella asked, distraught.
"No, I am," Musa said and Stella gave a sigh of relief.
"What I mean is, I got pregnant after I knew that I had to marry Jared. I did it on purpose. I lied to all of you, even Riven, and I'm so so sorry. I thought you'd all be disgusted if I told you the truth... I hope you can forgive me," she explained sincerely. She felt a muscular arm reach around her- Riven.
"So you really did get pregnant just to get out of marrying Jared? Woo you go girl!" Stella cheered, and Musa was grateful for her support.
"Why would we be disgusted?" asked Layla. "It would be more disgusting if you had to marry Jared!"
"And you better still be making me Godmother," Stella added.
"I agree with Layla!" said Bloom. "We're the Winx Club and we support each other no matter what!"
"I have to admit the more I think about it, the more logical your solution seems," Tecna said.
"We know what arranged marriages feel like, Musa," Sky said.
"We know it sucks," Bloom laughed and the two of them hugged.
Musa looked up, her eyes filling with tears. She was so happy to have such amazing and supportive friends. Flora was the only one who hadn't spoke yet, so she looked to her for her condolence, but she didn't look impressed. Her arms were folded and her usual cheerful expression was twisted into a scowl.
"Flo..." Musa began, but was unexpectedly cut off by Flora.
"I don't know why everyone thinks what you've done was a good idea!" Flora spoke in an angry and unfamiliar tone. Everyone stared at her. "You've been so selfish! You're having a baby, and not because you want to, not because you want to bring up a child with love, but because you want to save your own skin!" Flora now looked like she was going to burst into tears. "I am so ashamed of you, Musa." She stood up and picked up her bag. "Come on, Helia. We're leaving." Flora began to walk off, and Helia shrugged and stood up and went after his girlfriend.
"What's up with her?" said Stella as everyone watched them walk away. Musa was upset. Why had Flora reacted so badly? Sure, she was very traditional and believed in waiting to have kids until after you're married, but she was usually so supportive.
"She's probably just mad cos Musa gets laid more than her!" Brandon joked and Sky high-fived him, subsequently receiving stern looks from Stella and Bloom.
"Come on, guys. Let's just go home," Musa sighed.
Later that night Musa was alone in her room again surrounded by her thoughts. Riven had seemed a bit happier but he still hadn't spoken to her, and why had Flora now also fallen out with her? And she still needed to tell her Dad that she was pregnant- soon or the wedding preparations would be too far forward. She felt like she was going to break down again, but then she heard a knock on her door- maybe it was Riven.
"Come in," she said and the door opened. In walked the brunette fairy of flowers and plants wearing a pink floral nightdress and fluffy pink slippers carrying a tray with two mugs on it.
"I brought you some hot tea, sweetie," Flora said. "One sugar, just how you like it."
"Thanks?" Musa said curiously.
Flora set the tray down on Musa's dressing table and sat on her bed next to her. "I wanted to apologise," she said. "For my behaviour earlier."
"That's okay, Flo," Musa smiled and put a hand on her friend's shoulder. Flora's apologies were always so heartfelt that it was impossible not to forgive her straightaway.
"I guess I have some explaining to do," Flora said and went and picked up the two cups of tea. She handed Musa's to her, and took a sip of her own. "You see in my realm, we believe that babies should be a product of love, and only love. People fall in love, get married to prove their commitment and then have children, who are raised with love and care by their parents. Babies born without live become bad people," she explained.
"I understand, Flora," Musa smiled. "But I'm having this baby out of love. I want to be with Riven, because I love him, and I'm doing this so that I can be with him."
"Let me finish," Flora said kindly. "When I was only three years old, my cousin got pregnant. She was only sixteen, she didn't love the man she was pregnant with, but my family encouraged her to continue with the pregnancy."
Musa's eyes widened. She had never heard this story before.
"She didn't want to have the baby, but of course in my realm abortion is illegal- it really disrupts the voice of nature- and so she tried loads of dark spells on herself. Nothing worked, she just ended up hurting herself. When the baby was born, my cousin didn't want anything to do with her, so my mother and my auntie named her. She was called Poppy. She was raised by our family, but she always felt so neglected and alone without a mother who loved her. She became depressed, she was impossible to talk to, she started looking into dark magic."
"Oh, Flo," Musa said. "I'm sorry, I had no idea..."
"When she was only fourteen, we had to rush Poppy to hospital after a suicide attempt. Despite the fact my cousin had disgraced our entire family, we tried to contact her, but she didn't care."
"Oh my God, Flora, I..."
"Just before I started Alfea, Poppy committed suicide."
Flora's story was reducing Musa to tears. She knew what it felt like to lose somebody that you loved. She reached over and put her arm around Flora. "Flora, I am so, so sorry. Why did you never tell me?"
"The whole situation humiliated our entire family. We don't talk about Poppy, or my cousin."
"That's awful," Musa comforted her, disgusted that something as heartbreaking as this story was just regarded as a disgrace by people from Flora's realm.
"Poppy was brought into this world out of selfishness and greed. I don't think it's right to do that to a child, do you, Musa?"
"No," Musa sighed. "It's horrible."
"That's why I got so upset," Flora said. "I don't want you to have a baby just to get out of marrying Jared. I want you to have a baby because you want to, and because you and Riven love each other."
Musa didn't know what to say. She avoided looking at Flora, but didn't take her arm off her. This story had triggered so many horrible thoughts and feelings.
"Think about that for me, Musa?" Flora said and finished her tea. "Anyway, it's late, I'm going to bed now. Goodnight, sweetie."
Musa lay awake working herself up and worrying for most of the night, and when she finally drifted off she fell into a bad dream about crying children, her friends dying and Riven just watching her as she suffered. She awoke at 4am, sweating, crying and feeling like she was going to be sick. To her surprise, someone knocked on her door. Who would be coming here at this time? Had she been calling out in her sleep? Had someone heard her? "Hello?" she said. The door swung open and Riven walked in. He was shirtless, wearing nothing but boxer shorts, and his hair was a mess.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," she replied simply.
"I thought I'd come see you. I haven't slept all night. I thought you mightn't have either," he explained.
"Not very well," she admitted.
Riven leaned against the wall- his signature position. "So," he said. "You got me to get you pregnant on purpose." His face wore a smirk and he seemed very amused opposed to angry or offended now.
"Riven, I'm sorry..." Musa started.
"Don't apologise." It sounded like an order. "I didn't object to it."
"Yes but I didn't tell you why-"
"I still enjoyed doing it, didn't I?" he laughed.
Musa found herself speechless. What was Riven getting at?
"I guess I came here to apologise," he confessed. "For being so, rude, to you."
"Riven, I understand. I would have done-" Riven walked over to her and put his finger on her lips to stop her talking.
"Shhhh. It doesn't matter. I'm apologising- enjoy it," he said. He sat down beside her on her bed. "How are you anyway?"
"Terrible," Musa replied.
"What's up?" The question was almost funny.
"Well for starters I'm supposed to marry someone I hate and I've done something stupid to try and not ruin my life which has consequently ruined my life and now I'm pregnant and I'm going to have a baby and I'm worried that you'll leave and..."
Tears began to stream down Musa's face. She was so tired. Tired of being tired. Tired of being unhappy. She allowed herself to fall into Riven's embrace, buried her face in his chest and carried on crying.
"And Flora told me this completely horrible story about her cousin who got pregnant and then the kid was unhappy because it was unloved and she killed herself and what if that happens to my baby because I'm such a terrible and selfish mother-"
Riven interrupted her. "That won't happen to our baby," he said. "You'll be a great Mom. It's me that's the problem."
Musa didn't know how to argue against his statement. She didn't exactly believe that Riven would make a great Dad.
"To be honest..." he started, but then decided against it. "Doesn't matter."
"What?"
"Nothing," he said.
"Tell me," Musa demanded.
"No, it's not important."
"Tell me," she insisted again.
Riven sighed. "To be honest, Musa, I think... I think... I think I'm even more scared about this whole thing than you are."
"What?" Musa asked, surprised. Riven had never admitted to being scared before. "Scared of what?"
"Having this baby," he said. "I don't want to have a baby, you know? You're right. If you'd asked me to get you pregnant I'd have probably said no."
Musa tried to pull away from him, feeling embarrassed, but he kept a strong grip on her. "I wouldn't have left you, but I wouldn't want to be a father. I don't want to be a father. Now you're pregnant and there's nothing I can do."
Musa's tears kept falling uncontrollably. "I'll get rid of it," she said, but only in an attempt for his sympathy.
"No," he said. "The fact that it means I get to keep you is the only thing keeping me sane right now." He pulled her tighter against his body. "I will be a terrible father. I don't know how to be one. I never knew mine, I never learnt. I never even had a mother. I have no idea how to raise a kid at all."
Musa looked up at Riven. His honesty was making her even more emotional, he'd never been so sincere.
"Riven, I... I think you could be a good Dad," she said. Riven just laughed. "You can take everything you never had and give it your son or daughter, you can give them everything you would have wanted..."
"It's not that simple, Musa," Riven said. "How can I raise a kid? I'm not a good person."
His attitude was upsetting Musa. She'd never seen Riven like this. She'd never seen him upset. All she wanted to do was hug him and tell him that everything would be alright, and she wanted him to believe her. She remembered something that Bloom had once said to her.
"Riven, our past makes us who we are," she said, and he opened his eyes to look down into hers. "We learn from our negative experiences. They teach us how to make decisions and how to become better people. I think you can be a good Dad, because you know what not to do. I think that having a kid could be the greatest thing that ever happens to you..."
Riven looked down at his blue-haired girlfriend's tear soaked face. She was always so lovely, but he didn't believe her about this. She was wrong.
"I believe in you," she whispered, and as she shut her eyes more tears rolled down her cheeks. Her face was wet, mascara smudged all over. Riven couldn't bear to see her like this and he didn't want to upset her more, so he decided not to argue against her now. He leaned down and kissed her.
"Thank you," he said.
"That's okay," Musa replied, smiling weakly back up at him.
Wanting to change the subject, Riven said that they still needed to tell Musa's Dad.
"Ugh, don't remind me," she said. "I'm worried about it enough as it is."
"Well you don't want to marry Jared, do you?" he teased and she rolled her eyes.
"Come on," she said. "Let's just get some sleep."
It was still the early hours of the morning, and a few hours sleep would be better than none. "Okay then," Riven said, and they laid down in each other's arms.
So there you have it, hope you enjoyed this chapter! The next chapter will be up in the next few days, in the meantime please review this one, thanks.
