So I thought it was time I added a bit of Zick fluff in this again! Please continue to review I love hearing what people think :) xx
"What happened with Maisie today then?" Zoe asked, looking up at Nick. She had walked into his office while they were both hugging; Maisie in tears. She didn't want to ask at the time, but she figured something had been said.
Nick sat tenderly removing loose strands of hair from Zoe's face; tucking them behind her ear as she lay comfortably in his lap, her glistening eyes looking up at him for a response "She wants to move school" Nick replied, quickly snapping out of his day dream. He had been awfully quiet all night; just thinking about everything that had happened with Maisie. Zoe could sense that he wasn't himself and she knew full well that this was because of their troublesome daughter; he worried too much for his own good.
"What?" Zoe gasped, her head turning to show her full attention "Why? she loves it there" She asked, just as taken back about it as Nick was at first.
Nick shrugged; he was thinking exactly the same as Zoe, but the more he thought about it, the more that Maisie moving schools made sense "She seems pretty adamant" He replied, respecting her sensible decision.
"So what did you say?" Zoe asked; prompting for him to continue.
"I said yes, what else could I do?" Nick asked, his eyes meeting Zoe's for reassurance. He wasn't entirely sure if he was still making the right decision, but right now, it was the only hope he had left.
Zoe nodded in agreement; showing her support "There's no way we can manage driving her to a school out of Holby though" She commented, as she lay thinking about it.
"That's why I'm sending her to a private school" Nick instantly replied. He wasn't sure how Zoe was going to feel about this, especially with their other children being at state schools; it seemed unfair. But in all honesty, her opinion wasn't going to change his decision. Private school was the only way to sort Maisie's behaviour out and Nick was adamant and confident with his choice.
"What?" Zoe gasped once again, sitting herself from a Nicks lap "You can't be serious?" She asked, knowing full well that he already was.
"Of course I am, I think it'll really help her" Nick replied. Becoming more and more confident with his decision the more he thought about it.
Zoe simply nodded. She knew nothing would change Nicks mind and maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all. "you know I support every decision you make Nick" She softly spoke, her hand subtly reaching for his as their fingers subconsciously entwined.
"most of the time" Nick chuckled, squeezing her hand slightly as he made light of the situation.
Zoe smiled "but if you think this is right for Maisie, then I'm right behind you" She added, tenderly kissing him on the lips, to show him he had her full support.
Nick smiled against her lips as he slowly pulled away "what would i do without you eh" He smiled, lifting up his arm so that she could comfortably position herself into his chest.
"You wouldn't cope" Zoe chuckled, turning to look up where her head rested on his chest to see his reaction.
Nick kissed the top of her head as he held her closer "I certainly wouldn't" He agreed "as much as you infuriate me sometimes, I still couldnt live without you Zoe" He smlied, kissing the top of her head once again as he felt her smile against his chest.
"You always were a charmer Nick Jordan" Zoe grinned, flipping herself over so that she could slide back into his lap; now being able to face him as she returned back to her comfortable position "but I wouldn't change you for the world" She softly replied, smiling up at him.
"you are beautiful" Nick smiled, running the pad of his thumb tenderly across her cheek as he admired his wife.
"I feel like we're becoming that typical old couple now" Zoe chuckled "10 years ago and we would have probably spent the whole night having sex, not talking about all this feeling stuff" She continued to chuckle, as she made a joke of it.
"we're not that old" Nick chuckled, raising an eyebrow at her "and sex isn't everything anyway"
Zoe frowned as she looked up at him "sorry what have you done with my husband?" She chuckled "I think you're forgetting how we started Nick" She flashed him a knowing smile as a grin spread across his face.
"A drink never was just a drink with us Dr Hanna" He winked "You just couldn't resist me" He smugly grinned at her.
"I still can't" Zoe grinned, rolling off Nicks lap and standing up before the sofa, holding out her hand for Nick to take "and I'm sick of talking for one night anyway, it never was our strong point" She added, pulling Nick up from the sofa; turning to flash him a wink over her shoulder as she led him upstairs "and another thing" She grinned, closing the bedroom door behind her "it's Mrs Jordan to you" She proudly smiled, as his hands took hold of her hips; pushing her back down onto the bed "and a drink will never be just a drink with us" She smiled as her lips finally met her husbands once again.
