OK, so this is a bit of a boring short chapter, but I'm thinking of ending this story after one more chapter (which I promise will end on a better more exciting note) as I'm slowly running out of ideas to include! I think it'd be quite a good place to stop now that they are all relatively happy (I think) and I want to start concentrating on updating my other stories more regularly and maybe do a few one shots. Hopefully I may do a one shot in the future with these characters again as I just love them! But for now I think this is it for them sadly :( Please continue to review though - they definitely encourage me to continue my stories! x
"Ready for school sweetheart?" Nick asked as Maisie joined him in the kitchen. Today was her first day at her new school; private school. It had already cost a fortune and she hadn't even started yet, but Nick was adamant for her to join no matter what the cost was. It was the best school in Holby.
"I'm really nervous" Maisie admitted "and this uniform is disgusting" She complained, pulling an unimpressed look as she glanced down at her knee length skirt.
"you look lovely, don't worry" Nick tried to convince her as he took a sip of his coffee.
"Its dreadful dad, I look like I'm wearing a bin bag" She continued to moan.
"And if it was a bin bag, you'd still look lovely" He proudly smiled at her.
Maisie rolled her eyes, she still wasn't convinced or impressed with it in the slightest. It was much different to her old uniform, where she could get away with a rolled up body con skirt, barely even qualifying to be a skirt full stop. "You have to say that you're my dad" She sighed.
"Zoe, what do you think of Maisie's uniform?" Nick asked as she joined them in the room.
"Yeah" Zoe paused, looking over at Nick who was trying to indicate for her to back him up "It's nice" She nodded; unconvincingly.
"Well that means its disgusting then" Maisie sighed "Why can't I wear one like yours?" She asked, indicating the tight pencil skirt that Zoe had chosen to wear today.
"Because this is not your uniform" Zoe replied.
"You would certainly not get away with wearing something like your mum does" Nick chuckled, admiring Zoe's outfit out of the corner of his eye.
"What's wrong with it?" Maisie questioned. It was certainly more appropriate than her past uniform, that's for sure.
"Yes Nick, what is wrong with my outfit?" Zoe glared at him; demanding an answer "It touches my knees, I'd hardly say it's inappropriate" She innocently looked down at her skirt.
"If it was any tighter you wouldn't be able to move" Nick laughed as he continued to look her up and down.
"I can move perfectly well in it, I'll go put one on like Maisie's then shall I" She suggested, knowing full well that Nick was going to protest.
"I knew you hated it, I'm going to wear trousers" Maisie sulked, storming out of the room in typical teenage style to get changed.
"Good one" Nick smirked at Zoe, who hadn't realised what she had said.
"Well you started it, you've never complained about my skirts before now" Zoe responded "I'll stop wearing them in future then" She cheekily grinned.
"Don't you dare" Nick grinned, gripping her waist with his hands as he pulled her closer to him "You know this is the only thing that makes going to work worth while"
"Yeah" Zoe mumbled, moving her lips towards his "maybe you should show me just how worth while" She seductively whispered in his ear.
"Mmm later" Nick mumbled against her lips, breaking away as he noticed Maisie enter the room behind them.
"I think I've just been sick" Maisie pretending to gag as she walked past them in disgust "Can we please just go to school now" She begged.
Nick shook his head, winking at Zoe "I'll go and get the others ready then" He said "I'll meet you in the car" He instructed, throwing his keys over to Zoe before leaving the room.
