"Can you believe he's one already" Nick sighed as Zoe wandered over to him, wrapping his arm around her waist as she took her place beside him, both onlooking across the garden as their friends and family gathered around Oscar at his 1st birthday party.

"I know, where's my little baby gone" Zoe moaned, resting her head against his shoulder as they watched their son attempt to walk. He had grown up so fast and was now the spitting image of Nick and his brother. Keeping both Nick and Zoe on their toes as he was now walking and talking and into absolutely everything.

"Time for another then?" Nick joked. He knew full well how she felt about the matter, she had made that perfectly clear after having Oscar, but he still loved to wind her up when he could.

"No way, no more children" She shook her head.

"You said that last time" He winked, his grip around her waist tightening, "and you know as well as I do that you can never take your hands off me" He teased, kissing her slowly as she tilted her head back to look up at him.

"and this time I mean it, no more Nick" She threatened, playfully hitting him on the chest "and you're right, I can't" She grinned as she tip toed to kiss him again.

"You just wait until everyone goes home" He whispered, completely ignoring everyone around them as he wrapped both arms around her, pulling her body against his as they kissed.

"That is so gross" Maisie groaned in disgust, looking up from her phone as she came over to them, "Mum can I go out for a bit, I'm so bored" She complained. At now 14 years old her baby brothers 1st birthday party was definitely not Maisie's idea of fun. She was constantly out with her friends now, but she still was and always would be a daddy's girl deep down.

"Course you can" Zoe agreed.

"No, it's your brothers birthday" Nick refused.

"So, he doesn't even know I'm here" She huffed "I'll be back by 9" She looked up at Nick, putting on her pleading puppy dog eyes to try and win him over. It always worked and she knew it.

"back at 7 or you're not going" Nick tried to compromise with her.

"You're so unfair" She complained, throwing her head back in frustration.

"Maisie" Nick sighed, raising his eyebrow.

"OK I'm sorry, thanks for letting me out" She finally agreed with them "love you both" She called as she excitedly raced back into the house to get ready.

"love you too" Nick called, chuckling to himself at how fast she had sped off from them. They were all growing up too fast for his liking.

"I think somebody's getting a bit tired" Tess announced as she carried Oscar over to them.

"Dada" Oscar cried, reaching out his arms for Nick, gripping onto his shirt as he swung him onto his hip.

"Thanks Tess" Zoe smiled as she left them to go and rejoin the others.

"did he really just say dada?" Nick beamed, kissing his son on the forehead as he continued to babble his name for the first time.

"He did" Zoe smiled, "aren't you a clever boy" She cooed over him, as he gripped his fingers tightly around hers.

"He's definitely going to be the surgeon out of them all" He proudly smiled as he bounced him on his hip.

"Honestly Nick, you and that shiny plaque" Zoe rolled her eyes.

"well it's a very shiny plaque" He began to grin, winking at her as she shook her head "and the Jordan name is staying there" He proudly admitted.

"Whatever you say" She chuckled "shall I take him up to bed?" She offered, indicating towards Oscar who had now fallen asleep over Nick's shoulder.

"I'll take him, you try and get rid of this lot and I'll meet you in ours" Nick suggested, winking at her, indicating everything she needed to know and winning her over in all possible ways with his knee weakening grin.

"Mr Jordan, behave" Zoe teased, "Love you baby" She reached up to kiss a sleeping Oscar goodnight.

"love you too" Nick joked.

"and of course I love you aswell" She smiled, turning to kiss Nick.

"you've got 10 minutes" Nick whispered in her ear, placing a kiss to her cheek as he headed back towards the house with Oscar.

"Yes boss" She turned back, winking at him as she glanced over her shoulder, smiling to herself as she watched her husband tenderly carry their son.
