Where am I? My whole body felt numb…I could not see anything but darkness.
"Drip, drip, drip"
Tear drops of something was falling on the dark water below me. I looked down into the never ending space below me. A red orb floated in the water, it gave light to its surroundings. I tried to catch it but it kept sinking dipper and dipper.Finally I caught it!
Suddenly I felt the orb sucking me in, grabbing my numb hands under the water even more! I couldn't breathe. Slowly being consumed by the water I started fighting back for air. My body failed me, but my mind kept yelling for it to stop! Stop….stop…stop...
"Stop!"
Everything started to fast forward, the water around me turned red. Flesh started to form were I ounce held the red orb. Red fury eyes gazed upon me from the gathered flesh. Soon enough the gathered flesh formed its way into Hanabi. Every sense of mine told me to pull back. But how can I when it's my fault that she died?
"Yes, it is your fault"
I know it is…
"It is your fault I am died"
I tried my best…
"You did this to me!" Hanabi yelled and started to drag me in more.
Her hair turned fiery red and her own flesh met fire. I started kicking and screaming, trying to let her let go of me
"Why did you do it"
"Why!"
"I didn't mean it Hanabi I...I-I love y-you, I Will Always Love You!"I woke up crying my eyes out. Holding myself I whisper out loud "I-I d-didn't mean it, f-forgive me s-sister"
"H-Hinata-Sama"
I didn't want him to see me like this. I wanted to be strong just like Neji-nisan, but I'm just too weak…
"You're not weak Hinata, it is not right to blame yourself like this." He said while he hugged me.
"Hanabi knows you did not mean it…it's okay…everything is okay now…" His voiced faded off, leaving me with reassurance.
"Thank you Neji-nisan"
"We got to be strong for Hanabi's sake..."
"...Hai"
"Sorry to intrude Lady-Sama but Hokage-Sama summons you to her office" One of the younger maid said bowing down nervously for intruding on their moment.
I tapped on the door nervously. "Come in" She said with a steady voice.
"Y-You requested m-my p-presents, Hokage-Sama?"
"Ah! Yes, I have a special mission for you"
"W-with all d-due respect-
"Hinata, I know that you are not mentally ready yet for a mission but you cannot let this get to you!"
"So, I am assigning you a personal mission for three months in the Hidden Sand Village." She waited awhile for me to it take in and began again.
"Your mission is to see if there is any disturbance or suspicion assault in the Hidden Sand because of their upcoming festival"
"Hai Hokage-Sama I-I'll do m-my best!" I said walking out with a small smile on my face. She truly is really nice…she understands me.
I went straight home to pack for my special mission, grabbing my best Kimono for the festival. This was more like a vacation than a mission! I quickly wrote Neji-nisan a note telling him I'm going on a mission with all the details. I knew he was going to be mad for not saying a proper good-bye, but I really wanted to leave before anyone found out.
I grabbed my light sack of things and walked towards the Konoha gates leading me to the outside world.
"Aha, e-excuse me…B r-ranked mission" I said biting my lips, while the guard looked at my mission slip.
"Alrighty then, Ryou open up the gates!"
This very moment felt strange as I was facing the gates while it opened slowly. It was like in those books were a whole new chapter was beginning. As I stepped outside of the village, I felt like I can breathe again. It was as if-
"Hinata-Chan~…w-wait"
I looked back and saw Naruto-kun catching his breath in a crouched position.
"H-Hinata-Chan I-
"N-Naruto-kun, p-please catch y-your breath f-first!" He took a big gulp of air making him look like a giant blond frog. I giggled knowing how silly that would be.
"Hinata-Chan, I'm sorry for doing whatever I did to make you cry"
"It's-
"I really don't know what I did, but I'm sorry I made you cry"
"It's-
"W-Wait that came out wrong! Dame it. Let me start over."
"N-Naru-
"I'm sorry for hurting you Hinata-Chan, I feel really ba-
"Naruto-kun! It's okay. I know you didn't mean to hurt me. But it still hurt! You could have told me you didn't have that kind of feelings for me, instead of leading me on!" I yelled quietly. I felt my eyes watering, but I dared them to fall from my eyes. I had enough of this!
"Hinata-Cha-
"Look N-Naruto-kun I really have to leave for this mission, please when I come back we can talk through this."
"A-Are you s-sure Hinata-Chan?"
"Yes, I'm sure" And with that, the gates to Konoha closed making the last thing to see Naruto-kun with a sad smile and my village in the background.
I turned away from my village the place were I was brought up and the place were I was kept safe. But I knew I had to do this for me ,myself and I. I left konoha feeling like I was finally free.
