Author's Note: Hey guys, I decided to come back to this story and it would be great if you readers can give feedback to let me know what you think :)

Three:

Rashawn

"Man, that was the gayest thing I'd ever seen," Marcus sniggered as we walked out of the classroom, the bell ringing loudly as we followed the other students through the crowded corridor "like seriously homo, you acting a love scene with a white boy!"

"Fuck off!" I muttered, shoving Marcus into a locker and sniggered at the pissed off glare he gave me as he straightened up "it's called acting, so give it a rest."

Yeah, reading Romeo's lines had been acting… but my attraction to Jamie was genuine. I'll admit that when Mrs Richards had asked Jamie and me to read that scene, I wanted to jump out of the nearest window and seeing Jamie's face pale told me he felt the same. But once we started reading the lines in front of the class and got into it, I began noticing things about Jamie that I always found myself noticing when I saw him. His crystal blue eyes that were filled with so much depth it made me want to know what that boy was thinking, his short brown hair that seriously looked good on him (so many white boys I knew grew their hair like wanna be boy band members, but not Jamie) and he was in pretty good shape with some good definition in his arms.

I managed to keep my cool, but when it came to the moment when Romeo kisses Juliet… I had become transfixed by his full lips and actually considered leaning in to press my lips against his, but thank fuck that Mrs Richards had yelled "CUT!" and I stopped myself from doing something stupid.

Okay, yes I'm gay - I've accepted it and I came out to my mum last year (who was actually alright with it), but none of my boys knew and I wanted to keep it that way. I stopped at my locker as Brendan and Marcus began chatting about Kayla - a girl from my estate and trying to decide who stood a chance at pulling her… if I'm being honest, I doubt she'll go with either of them, I'm sure that chick preferred the pussy than dick anyway.

I pulled my books for History out of my locker and turned to see Jamie standing with that blonde girl, she seemed to be chatting non-stop and Jamie just looked tired… also a little upset. A part of me wanted to go and ask f he was alright, but I couldn't with Marcus and Brendan here. Hang on, I've got History with Jamie in a bit.

Screw it.

"Nah, bruv. Kayla definitely wants some of my- Ray?" Brendan stared at me in shock as I walked over to Jamie and his bimbo friend as they walked up the stairs to History.

"Yo, Jamie." I grinned as I greeted him, Jamie's blue eyes looked up in surprise and he gave a small smile "awesome acting earlier, bruv."

"Thanks, you did good too." Jamie complimented as I fell into step beside him, Vanessa (or whatever her name was) pointedly looked away from me as if she wanted to see anything else but me.

"Cheers, man." I said, feeling pretty proud of myself as we turned at the top of the stairs and headed down the crowded corridor "acting is kind of my thing,"

"Really?" Jamie asked with interest.

"Yeah, right," Vanessa said dryly, her eyes like cat's as she glared at me and my smile turned to a frown. Judgmental bitch.

"What you chatting?" I demanded shortly, but Vanessa just mumbled a quick goodbye and tossed her hair over her shoulder as she walked away.

"Sorry about that," Jamie said gently as we reached the classroom, not thinking anything of it as I held the door open for him and we walked into the class "she can be a bit difficult, but she's cool."

I doubt it. The class was empty… holy shit, I was actually the first to arrive to class. I'm not saying I'm late all the time, but I was never the first to be sitting eagerly for lessons to start.

"Mind if I sit with you, blud?" I asked as Jamie sat at a table near the back of the classroom and Jamie nodded casually as he opened his notebook, I slumped into the seat beside him. I shrugged off my jacket and I could've sworn I saw Jamie glance at my biceps, but then I looked again and saw him concentrating on his notes and I thought I must have imagined it

"So what kind of acting are you interested in?" Jamie asked as he closed his book and turned to face me, the genuine interest in his voice made me smile "film? TV?"

"Theatre," I answered and I chuckled as I saw him look at me with surprise, clearly not expecting that answer "don't look too surprised, man. I've always thought theatre acting was sick and the actors there are the shit. My mum used to take me all the time when I was a kid."

"That's really cool," Jamie smiled and I couldn't help but notice how sexy this dude's smile was "you and your Mum close?"

"Yeah, we're pretty tight," I said casually, my Mum had raised me since I was a kid and considering my dad pissed off before I was even born she was two parents in one, but since her accident a few years back I had to step up and make sure I kept a roof over our heads… by any means necessary "how about you and your mumzi?"

"Yeah we were close, but she died." Jamie mumbled and his smile faltered, making me regret asking.

"I'm sorry, man." I said softly and Jamie shrugged, trying to give a confident smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

"It was a long time ago, it's okay…" Jamie said with his half smile, but I couldn't say anything else because the door suddenly burst open and the other students filed inside and I couldn't find the right words to say anyway. Jamie's attention quickly went back to his notebook, his face unreadable of any emotion and I suddenly wished that we had a few more minutes to talk in private so I could try and figure out some more stuff out about Jamie.

I could usually figure people out, but Jamie Cullen was a serious mystery.
