Summary: Everything boils down to this. This? This isn't easy at all.
Disclaimer: Don't own them.
-By the saints…there were so many bodies.
So much death….
I pushed my way toward the heart of the battle…the insanity of it all. I stuck down so many soldiers…where did the Master get these poor souls from. I could hear yelling and screaming. It didn't matter from what side it was from. It seemed to be all around me. IT is an indisputable noise that drowned everything out.
Suddenly, it just…stopped.
Everything.
I could see my brothers. They just…there. And Zaria is laying there. There was blood on her face and her hair. I could imagine there was blood under her body as well. I didn't need approach. I didn't because I could see Leanbow's face. The look on his face…I knew.
I just knew. My pupil was dead. My dear friend….
Zaria was dead.-Catalina
"That is what happened," Chip said as he stared down at the pages. He had a million thoughts running through his head. He really didn't know what say or do. He glanced up to see Snow Prince sighed from his post.
"Yes."
"That is what she meant by the choices you made on the battlefield."
Snow Prince blinked for a moment.
"She wrote that?"
"Yes…she did."
"She had sworn never to step on the battlefield again after that battle. She was always a woman of her word."
"Because she blamed you?"
"Yes, she blamed me. That fact didn't carry into her decision but what happened after…." Snow Prince said as he started to pace. He almost afraid to ask what happened but he had a sinking feeling that it wasn't good.
"What happened?"
"What do you know of Reversal Magic?"
"Not much. It always sounded like time travel to me."
"You are correct. In her grief, she used it on that day. The consequences were dire. She created a monster that you are perhaps familiar with….the Soul Scepter."
His throat tightened and a cold lump sat in his stomach. He still got nightmares from that fight.
"But I thought that her magic counter the Soul Scepter."
"I can imagine in her right mind…she wouldn't have done it. But grief is a terrible… terrible thing."
"But she stopped it."
Snow Prince nodded his head.
"Yes but sealing it away from the others. Of course, The Vampire Queen found it and you know what happened next…"
Then there was silence. It was this heavy silence that seemed to swallow the room. He didn't know what to say but he found the words.
"Why are you telling me this now?" He said softly.
Snow Prince stared at him.
"Because it was about time that I faced it…the guilty of that day and the many days that followed."
He didn't have anything else to say. He knew what he should say but it gave him no sense of relief of finally knowing the truth.
"Thank you."
It tastes more like sadness.

He was back home…staring at Catalina's last words in the journal.
I went to the mountain today. My brothers told me that I was being a silly girl. They don't understand. They don't see the flow of the river under their feet. They don't see how it will sweep them away. I pity them and weep for them. For the time will come when I will be the only one here.
I hate being alone but I must be…if this is to work.
Calindor was there when I reached the top. He was smiling at me like he won a race but I knew better. His once bright eyes were cold as ice. His smile once cheerful…was now bitter. I can see the darkness in him now. How the darkness twisted his soul. I do not care what words he will speak from his vile tongue.
Time will not be on his side.
For a brief flash…I could see….I pitied him.
For his fate, it won't be kind. I write these final words as I faced him now. I cast a spell to send this journal to it proper place and time. I hope that these words will bring knowledge to those who will read it.
I hope that my words won't be forgotten.
I hope that I won't be forgotten.
He put his head in his hands as he stared at Catalina's final words. It pained him to read it.
She was forgotten. No one talked about her. She was a skeleton in a closet. At least, at home…they still talked about dad.
Well…not anymore…when he was done, he will make sure that no knight will be forgotten.
He picked up the cover of the journal and was able to flip it close when something caught his eye.
His eyes widened at the written words on the next page.
Well…are you coming, Mr. Thorn? I believe we have an appointment and I would hate for you to be late. At all….I don't have all the time in the world.-Catalina

Next Chapter; Time Is On Your Side
A/N: This chapter was actually was planned for later but the most I thought about it…I wanted to move the story along. The response from the last chapter was truly interesting. It was a lot of fun for me as a writer. Anyway…Everyone ready for Catalina? No. Well…tough…XD Anyway, read and review if you wish.
