Why?
Lucy POV

"Get out"

"No. I have to do this, on behalf of the whole guild...I'm sorry" he looked at me expectantly like he thought that measly apology to be enough to get me crawling back to Fairy Tail.

"If you think I'm just gonna crawl back to Fairy Tail, you're wrong" I stated "and just so you know you are not forgiven, one measly apology isn't enough to atone for years of abuse."

"But why Luce?" He whined in the voice I used to think was cute, I smiled grimly

"Because I hate you, now get before I make you."

Natsu POV

I walked out of her room dejectedly, she hates me now. Just the same as I hate Lisanna. When I get back to the lodgings she gonna get another beating. But for now I'm gonna get a drink, the beatings are always more enjoyable when I've been drinking. Since Lucy left. I had started to take a liking to beer, my favourite was fire whiskey but others were good too, it helped me cope with the fact that under all the fog that was Lisanna's spell in my mind it was true I was actually enjoying it even though 99.98% of my mind and body was screaming that it was wrong (0.01% was Lisanna's spell though it was a surprisingly strong for its size) 0.01% was screaming SHUT UP to the part of me protesting and YELL LOUDER to the other part that was fuelling me to do those horrible things.

When I got to the bar, the bartender recognised me straight away from last night.

"Another round, sir?"

"Yep" I said smiling at the prospect of getting drunk again.

About two hours later I shakily walked out of the bar and onto the road. Passing another bar on the high street I saw Rouge from Sabertooth. He was the one who stole Lucy from me, from Fairy Tail.

"Hey, Rouge!" I yelled

"What?" He called back clearly intoxicated

"I gonna kill you!"

"Yeah, so? I deserve it anyway. The love of my life, my best friend and my 'sister' all hate me and there is nothing I can do about it."

"Fire Dragons Iron Punch!" I yelled punching Rouge

"Shadow Dragons Crushing Fang!" He attacked

"Hey take it outside!" The bartender yelled. And so I did, due to his heavily intoxicated state it took me about 10 mins but I defeated Rouge, and beat him severely. The I carried him to the very peak of the small mountain that Crocus was built near and threw his body off the top, now that Lucy had no ties to Sabertooth she would come back to Fairy Tail! Fo Shizzle! (A/N Love his logic, because almost killing someone's boyfriend so makes them want to forgive you for abusing them for years)

Satisfied with my work I walked back to our lodgings excited to tell the rest of the guild what I had done, due to Fairy Tail's continued wins over the years we were given a place to stay at the palace. Much to the councils distaste. But Gray and I had subsequently started a brawl over who would get the room closest to Lucy's commemorative one, and gotten our guild promptly kicked out. We were now all staying in a dingy motel at least 10 miles away from the arena. Meaning I would have to take a train to and from the arena everyday just to get there and back in time.

"Yo minna!"

"What Natsu?" Erza replied, I made sure to walk back to the motel slowly so my magical fire would burn all the alcohol out of my system before I got back. Erza hated seeing me drunk, though when I was going to punish Lisanna, I couldn't care less what Erza thought.

"I apologised to Lucy again, but she said that she hated me. So I went to a bar" at this point Erza fixed me with a cold but sympathetic look "and I found Rouge!" At this everyone who hadn't already turned towards me "and I realised why Lucy wasn't coming back to us, it was because of Rouge!"

"What do you mean Natsu?" Mirajane asked quietly

"Didn't you see the way they were cuddling at the games? They are obviously together!" Everyone looked at me shocked "come on guys I'm not that dense!"

"But I still don't see how is it Rouges fault" Erza protested

"What I'm trying to say is that Rouge is the one tying down Lucy to Sabertooth, and possibly that Rufus guy too, I saw her rush to catch him when he fell off that building."

"So what are we gon do about it?" Wakaba called

"You mean what did I do about it!" I grinned "I've already dealt with it! Now Lucy is sure to come back to us!"

"WHAT DID YOU DO!" Master yelled growing in size the way he does when he is angry

"Oh. I beat him up and threw him off a cliff!" I said grinning like a fool

"WHY?!" Master cried. Then I heard a scream so sad and full of sorrow it made me want curl up in a ball cry.

Lucy POV

I was sitting in my room after Natsu had left I just sat and stared at the space where he used to stand, and cried. I cried for hours before I decided I was bothering everybody else with my loud wailing and decided to do it where nobody else would hear me. I left the Ivory Tulip and made my way to the top of the mountain Crocus was built near and sat on a ledge just under a cliff at the top.

After crying there for about 2 hours I decided to go back as it was almost 11:35 PM. Just as I was about to get up and wind my way down to mountain top back to the main city, I saw a dark shape fall past my ledge, I looked up to the top of the mountain and saw a distinctive humanoid shape and I flash of pink on what I assumed was the head. Casting Chaos Gods Alacrity as I went I ran down to the base of the mountain when I got there I saw the broken shape of the man I loved.

Not wanting to believe it, I sprinted over to him and what I saw made me scream louder than I ever had before, all my limiters suddenly shattered and I felt my magic power rise dramatically. Without thinking I picked up Rouge hugged him close to my chest and ran...I ran faster than I ever had, I broke the sound barrier with almost no magic drain normally this kind of speed would take a huge toll on me but the difference in my power was almost nothing.

When I got the hospital the woman at the desk took one look at the crazed look in my eyes, and the broken man in my arms, and handed me a number, 160 I looked at the number coming up, 52 the emergency room was packed full. I used my magic and conjured a flame and used it to burn the piece of paper in my opened hand.

"I want to get this man to a doctor NOW"

"look miss we all have people we care about but-"

"No you look. This man is going to see a doctor in the next 5 no 2 minutes or there will be hell to pay! Capichè?" The woman nodded trembling and paged a doctor straightaway.

I laid Rouge down on the emergency gurney I was given and started to pace. Thoughts of what I would do if Rouge didn't pull through made my magic rise through the roof. I heard the laboured breathing of those around, my magic was literally crushing them. I decided to leave before I did something I would regret. Looking at the clock on the wall before I left I saw the time 11:52 Crap! I sprinted back to the lodgings my eyes bloodshot and nose running. My guild mates would know something was wrong. They knew I cried when no one was around, but I never came out looking like I had cried but right now I couldn't care less.
