By The Light of Lightening: There Was A Goat Involved

Summary: Nick and Chip train together. Stuff happens…like a goat and a morpher….

-Zaria and Diane was training today. I wasn't quite sure what they were doing or why they were doing it.
But there was a hole in the ground. It was a big one that I am not quite sure how it got there. Leanbow was quite impressed and so was I. When we asked them about it, they gave us this sheepish look.
I wondered if there was explosion.
By the size of this hole, I think so.
By spirits, how did they manage that?
They were supposed to be training with swords-Catalina
"How is Fireheart doing?" Chip said as his wooden practice sword hit against Nick's sword.
"Not too bad. Keeping him focus is like trying to keep Xander focus around girls," Nick said.
He snorted. That is pretty bad.
"How is Brightstar?"
"Moody. Sometimes, he is really helpful and sometimes, not. Catalina said it is age thing."
"An age thing?"
He nodded his head.
"She guessed in unicorn that he is a teenager."
"I take that went well."
"Better than I thought."
"You have been reading Catalina's journal. What does she say about my dad?" Nick asked.
He paused for a moment. He had to really be careful with this question. Not on the Leanbow part, more like Catalina is alive part. He kind of wished that she would tell them already.
"Leanbow was a flirt but he was a good guy. He was kind of blunt but a good blunt type toward people. Catalina said he liked to tease. He was protective over the Mystics and truly believed in his plans and goals. He and Snow Prince had it out a few times over the plan to seal the Master."
"Dad is definitely blunt. I can't imagine my dad as a flirt. Really? She wrote that?" Nick said as he stopped and stared at him.
"Yes….there was a party and Undonna turned him down."
"Really?"
"Really," He said as he nodded his head.
"Maybe after you are done with her journal, I will take a look at it. It would be nice to get to know dad before he became Koragg."
"Still not talking, huh?"
"More like barking orders. Training under him has been hard. Daggeron said that you will have a turn soon."
Catalina really isn't going to be fan of that idea but it would be kind of interesting to train under him.
"Maybe after we defeat the Master, it will get better,"
"Hopefully…"
Suddenly, he heard a loud crash. He turned around to see a goat stumbled toward them. The goat kept making a strange noise that he couldn't place. They had a lot of goats on the farm. Uncle Carl would tell him that he should know better. That is when Nick knocked him over.
"Gotcha, Chip!" Nick said with a smirk.
He blinked for a moment.
"You got me," He said before he returned his attention to the goat. The goat continued making the strange noise then the goat fell to the ground.
"Chip?"
Crap…Crap..
He stumbled to his feet and rushed over to the goat.
"Chip?" Nick said after him.
"The goat is pregnant and she is about to give birth," He shouted before he moved toward the goat. The goat tried to stumble away from him.
"Shh…hey, little lady. I am here to help…See?" He said as he moved closer and gently touched the goat. Gently, his hand moved to her tail and hip area. He listened to her heavy breathing. He heard Nick coming behind him.
"Chip, is she alright?" Nick asked.
"No. Does give birth standing up. If she is lying down, she is under stress. Uncle Carl usually deals with the does if they have trouble. I just keep them calm." He said as he continues to stroke the goat to keep her calm.
"We can't get the others. I have no clue where they are. It could take us forever to get back," Nick said as he sat next to him. Nick was patting the goat to keep her calm.
He frowned for a moment and took out his wand.
"What are you doing?"
"Keep her calm. I am going to try and guide her kid out," He said as he gently put his wand against her hip. He closed his eyes and focused his magic into her.
Come on little goat. It is time to come out.
He felt something shifted.
Come on. We promise that I and Nick aren't very scary. Your mom is waiting for you. She would really like you to come out.
Please?
"CHIP! It is working!" Nick shouted.
He opened his eyes to see a little black and white goat slip right out.
"Hey, little guy," He said with a grin.
The doe got to her feet and started to check over the little goat.
"Hey, man. You did," Nick said with a grin.
"We did it."
"Urgh…Chip, is she supposed to be doing that?"
"Oh…I forgot about that. Yes, that is normal."
"It is pretty disgusting."

"So, you two helped a goat give birth," Daggeron said as he looked at them.
"Yes," He and Nick said at the same time.
He blinked for a moment.
"Well…at least, it wasn't a giant hole," Daggeron said.

Catalina leaned over the gated area where the goats were being held. It was kind of silly for being sneaking around in the middle night. She did want to meet him at least once. The little black and white goat woke up at her presence and stumbled toward the gate.
She grinned softly.
"Hello, Goat. It is very nice to finally meet you," She said.
