By The Light of Lightening: Bright Little Warrior

Summary: Leanbow and Chip train together. It doesn't end well at all.
Disclaimer: Don't own them.
-According to Leanbow, there will be five central points to this spell.
Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightening, and Water.
North, East, South, West, and Mid-point.
Snow Prince argued against the plan with Leanbow for hours. Enough so, that it woke the children.
Daggeron and I had enough sense to stay out.
Then again, they know our thoughts on the matter. Despite this, Snow Prince and Leanbow are still arguing in circles. It is if it will change Leanbow or the others' mind. They are set.
Of course, that doesn't stop Leanbow from asking me if I see anything or feel anything. At first, I didn't want to tell him what I saw but he begged and pleaded with me. For the sake of his son, he begged. For Haldar…Undonna and the others…
He wanted to know what is coming..-Catalina
Leanbow was staring at him which Chip shifted in place.
I am going to training with Leanbow today. What should I expected?
Honestly, I don't know, Chip. Leanbow has changed a great deal.
You have been watching?
Of course.
"You are Chip. Daggeron has told much about you," Leanbow said as he circled him.
"Yes, sir?" He said. He really wasn't sure how he was supposed to say or do.
But no matter, how much he changed…he is still driven. He is going to press you, Chip.
"From what Daggeron has told me, I don't think that you are worthy of being a knight."
The comment was like a slap in the face.
He is going to be blunt about you. From what I have watched of Nick's training, he no longer kind about it.
Was he kind before?
He had more of a sense of humor about his bluntness. Most like teasing but now…not so much.
"Why do you say that, sir?" He said. His stomach was in knots and he felt his throat become dry.
Leanbow just stared at him for a moment.
"You aren't serious enough. You have barely touched your studies. For someone who is so eager, you haven't pursed the others to teach you. For that, I don't think you are serious about being a knight."
"Sir…"
"I am not done. I am only taking you for a session out of curiosity after that you are on your own."
What can I do about it?
Don't let him get to you and drop a staff on his foot might help.
….You did that Catalina?
And I broke it too.
"I am not on my own, sir," He said as he tried to take the angry out of his voice.
"Who do you have?"
"Brightstar."
For a moment, he could have sworn that Leanbow's expression changed.
"Then show me what your horse taught you."
In flash of light, Leanbow morphed. He took a deep breath and followed suit.
Leanbow barely gave him time to draw his weapon out before he attacked.
"You know the deal. What are the weak points on a body?"
"Eyes, neck, knees, and stomach if it isn't protected."
He barely had time to react. Leanbow kept pressing.
Play on your strengths. What are they?
I am good at archery.
His eyes widen slightly. He need to set up a good shot and overextended Leanbow enough to pull it off.
Of course, there is a million things involved like an opponent's weaknesses and strengths and sometimes, just plain luck.
He is going need luck.
Then it hit him. He pointed his bow at Leanbow's face and mumbled a light spell. Not enough to harm. He let the spell lose and Leanbow blocked it. But that was the point. The spell reflected off his sword and hit the ground. The area was filled with a bright light.
He moved away from Leanbow enough to give a shot. Once the light cleared, he pointed his next shot at Leanbow's knee and let it go.
It was a direct hit. Leanbow stumbled to the ground. He moved from his spot and his bow remained point at Leanbow. His heart was pounding his chest. Leanbow was just staring at him.
God, he is going to throw up.
Suddenly, he saw something black out of the corner of his eye. He glanced over to Leanbow's horse there. He felt something grab his arm and push him down toward the ground.
Then he felt Brightstar.
"Stay out of this, Brightstar." Leanbow said.
He stared at Brightstar. He was glowing and standing in between him and Leanbow.
This was going to end badly. He needed to do something. Anything. Then it hit him.
"Feival! Stop that is enough," He said as he stumbled to his feet and scrambled onto Feival's back.
"Lets go," He said in a mumble. In a flash, he and Feival were gone.
End of Bright Little Warrior
Next Chapter: Now and Then
A/N: Feival is Latin for bright little warrior which was a name that I thought fit Brightstar quite well. ^_^ Thank you guys for the wonderful reviews. Read and review if you wish.
