Sooner or later…-Catalina

Chip was done. All of the excitement and partying and just everything left his body. It kind of gave him a sense of relief.

They have defeated the Master.

It was over.

He kind of wondered what to go from here. It was kind of funny feeling that the next morning there wasn't going to be a monster attack or monster of the week. Of course, that wasn't true.

In a couple of months, there will be a new set of rangers to fight a new battle.

Where does that leave him?

Finish school and his knight training?

If that was possible…he still wasn't sure where he stood.

He should ask Catalina later. Speaking of Catalina…where is she?

"What do we tell them?" Leelee said to Phineas as the pair approached the group

"Tell us what, guys?" He asked.

Leelee looked at Phineas before Phineas started talking.

"There is this really weird lady at Rootcore," Phineas said.

"And she has a monster with her," Leelee added.

"And don't forget the giant snail! I asked if I could eat it…but she got kind of scary."

His eyes widened slightly then his eyes moved to Leanbow, Daggeron, and the Snow Prince. Daggeron, Leanbow and Undonna looked in shock. Snow Prince looked kind of angry…okay, he looked pissed off. Necorali's face turned pale. Everyone else had no idea who they were talking.

"Because you threatened to eat her snail," Leelee said.

"I know. I know. But…"

"Did the woman say her name?" Leanbow snapped.

"No…No…uhh…she said some guy named Haldar would have a heart attack at the state of Rootcore and you better fix it," Leelee said.

"OH! I remember now! She said you must not be late," Phineas said with a nod.

"Late?" Daggeron said.

Phineas nodded his head.

"Yup. She was very serious about it."

"Catalina," He said out loud.

Everyone turned to him with a surprise look on their faces.

"From her journal, it sounds like Catalina," He added.

"Chip is correct. It does sound like her," Daggeron said.

"What do we do?" Undonna said.

"Let go and talk to her," Leanbow said angrily.

This isn't going to end well at all.

When they approached Rootcore, he didn't see Catalina. He did see Rasa. The giant racing snail was eating something off the ground. But his eyes were drawn to another familiar face….

"Matoomboo!" Vida and Xander shouted as they ran toward Matoomboo.

He didn't quite get the friendship between the two but he trust V and Xander's judgment. His eyes darted for Leanbow and the others reactions to Rasa.

"It looked liked her mount but where is she…"

"Rootcore is a mess. I can image that it will take a few week to clean up the mess. You are late," Catalina said.

They looked around for the voice. Well, they did. He knew where to look. He just looked up at the tree. Catalina was sitting in a tree, looking at some type of time watch in her hand. She shut the time watch closed and slipped into her pocket. Well, that is what he thought it was.

"Catalina…." Undonna said in awe.

Catalina jumped down from the tree and landed in front of them. She hugged Undonna first.

"You looked absolute old," Catalina said.

"You are absolute the same," Undonna said.

Undonna started to laugh as she hugged her back. He stared at his teacher because she looked kind of different. His eyes widened when he figured out what it was.

"You got a hair cut!" He said.

Everyone turned to look at him. Uh oh….hehe…

Catalina started laughing.

"Callindor decided to be difficult when I tried to release Matoomboo's spirit. Of course, I had everything under control until Ms. Vida's friend decided to help," She said with a wave.

"I am sorry, Lady Knight," Matoomboo said as he joined the little gathering.

"You are such a dear. You have no reason to say you are sorry. It is time for a change after all," Catalina said.

"And when were you doing this?" Snow Prince said angrily.

"While you were fighting the Master…It was Mother's orders after all," Catalina said.

"Is anyone else wondering who the chick is?" Xander said softly.

"She is Catalina, the Time Knight or Chronis Knight. Or the Iron Maiden but that makes her kind of grumpy," He said.

"How do you know…" Xander was about to ask before he was cut off.

"We thought that you were dead, Catalina," Daggeron said.

Catalina looked at Daggeron and smiled.

"I thought that you were frog," She said.

"The curse was broken."

"Woke up from a time loop."

Daggeron blinked for a moment. He could understand why. Catalina was definitely interesting.

"Perhaps…I should rephrase that…I trapped myself in a time loop. I didn't see myself becoming involved until someone decided to bring out the Soul Scepter," She said thoughtfully. Her eyes turned to Necorali, who stepped away from the group. There was a story there.

"You could have told us that you were back," The Snow Prince said angrily.

"It wouldn't have changed the outcome," Catalina said calmly.

"How would you know? You have said time doesn't flow the same path."

She huffed for a moment.

"If you like, I can say that the outcome is 90% correct."

"You used excuses in order to hide the fact that you abandoned us in our time of need," The Snow Prince said.

She stared at him for a moment before she punched him…hard. He winced slightly when he heard the bone snapped. Everyone scrambled to separate them. He made sure that he was right in front of Catalina.

At least, she liked him enough not to punch him.

"I have made my mistakes, Brother. Was it mistake not to join? Maybe. My gut was telling me to stay off the board of play. I didn't get this far without trusting my instincts. What about your mistakes, brother? You haven't even faced yours," She said angrily.

"What are you talking about?" Nick asked.

Leanbow was about to say something before a bright light fill the area.

"ENOUGH! I thought that my children could make peace among themselves but it seems that I have to get involved. Come!" The voice shouted.

If the looks on the other knights were saying anything, they weren't very happy. It was kind of like the end of comic book convention.

Daggeron, Leanbow, the Snow Prince, and Catalina disappeared into the light.

"Well…that was interesting," Maddie said.

"Very…," Nick grumbled.

"Were they always liked that?" He asked.

"No…most of the time, they got along well enough. The Mystic Mother will be able to set them straight…I hope," Undonna said.

"Soo…Chip…what was this incident that she was talking about?" Vida asked with a look.

He winced slightly. He knew that look.

"Right…you seem to know her, mate. What is up with that?" Xander asked.

He laughed slightly and ran his hand through his hair.

He had a lot of explaining to do.
