Summary: Nick and Chip talk before Nick leaves

Disclaimer: Don't own them.

"So, you knew about that?" Nick asked as he leaned against a tree.

Chip nodded his head.

"Kind of. Catalina talked about it but at the time, she wasn't sure," He said.

He watched as Nick started pacing and running his hand through his hair.

"Are you going to finish your training?" Nick asked.

"Of course. You?"

"I don't know. I just…"

"You just what…?"

"If it was for me. When I started training, I had a goal. I was going to stop the Master. Now that he is gone…I just don't know if I want to become my dad."

"You aren't your dad."

"Really? I became the Master's servant….became evil and killed. I don't know about you but that sounded like my dad."

He wasn't Maddie. She would be much better at this than him. Anyone would be better than him but he was going to try.

"That is true. You are still not your dad."

Nick gave him a look.

"It's true. Sure, both of you went through the same experiences. But until that point, you made your own choices. Good…bad…and anything in between. Question is…what are you going to do from here?"

"It isn't that easy, Chip," Nick said with a sigh.

"It is. It is a yes or no. It is a right or left. It is a up or down. It is Marvel or DC. I know what I am going to do. I am going to finish what I started if your dad doesn't kill me first."

"He isn't that bad."

He gave Nick a look. Nick started to laugh.

"And I wished that I had your focus. It is definitely something to think on my way to my adopted parents. Do you really think that this end of the knights? The way that they were talking made it sounded like it was the end."

"It isn't. I am going to try. I have no idea how to start a school…much less run one. Catalina would help. I am sure that Daggeron would help too. I am just going to start researching again. I have an idea where to start."

"Where?"

"Zaria. Her kingdom started the whole knight school before they finally separated. It is a start." He said with a sigh.

To him, it looked liked an up hill battle. He had no idea what to do. It was like Morph facing the Sentinels. The odds didn't look good but he survived. So will he.

"You have our help. We won't let you do it alone," Nick said.

He smiled.

"Thanks."

"I want to do something for me."

"Okay…?"

"I want you to wait until I come back," Nick said.

He tilted his head.

"I have faith in you, Chip. I do. I have a feeling that you need someone to watch your back when we start this whole thing."

He was confused.

"But I thought…."

Nick shook his head.

"I still don't know where I stand on the knight thing but I do know that I don't want something that is a force for good fade away."

He smiled slightly. He was glad that Nick got that. The others were right. They don't know what is coming. A part of him was slightly scared but another part of him was excited.

He was going on another adventure.

Hopefully, it doesn't involve the end of the world….again.
