Author's Note: I own nothing except the plot, setting, and personalities of these characters. The rest belong to SM! Enjoy. Read little note at the bottom please. It explains a lot.

"I-I'm sorry. You said what?" I asked, stumbling over my words.

"I said you will be living with them, ma petit," Mr. Pierre replied calmly.

Immediately, I began to regret accepting this assignment. Trust me, I knew how big of a deal this was, but this is a prince we were talking about. Not just any prince, either, but it's a prince that certainly didn't seem to like me. The worst part of it all, though, was that I had a crush on him, one that was unrequited. This was going to end horribly.

"Thank you, sir. You won't regret this," Esme said, quickly snapping me out of my inner turmoil.

"I'm sure I won't. See you later, ladies," he said, dismissing us.

We exited his office and slowly walked back to our area, all of us consumed by our own thoughts. I sat in my chair and turned to face my friends, recognizing looks ranging from ecstatic to sadness, the sadness being mine based off of the look I saw in the mirror placed above Rose's desk.

"This is going to be awesome!" Rose exclaimed happily.

"It'll be pretty great, but I have responsibilities here. I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with them, but I guess I'll have to work them out," Bella added, a small smile starting to make way onto her face.

I looked over at Esme who was strangely silent. I quickly noticed my sadness reflected on her face. I knew leaving Evan was going to be hard on her, but I also knew that she wasn't going to pass up on an offer that could help her advance in her career. Neither would I. We shared a look and I offered a small smile which she returned. This was going to be hard, of that I was sure, but I was just as sure that I would try my damn hardest to get this job done and done well.

Esme looked down at her cell phone and a few seconds later she told us that Evan wouldn't be visiting today. Slowly, we all began to get back to work, the eventful lunch meeting keeping us company throughout the rest of the work day.

When it got time to leave, I packed up my things, hugged them goodbye, and made my way to the elevator. When it arrived, I stepped in and started thinking back on the past two days. They were the most eventful days I've experienced in my twenty two years on this planet. The elevator then dinged, alerting me that I had arrived in the parking garage and I slowly made my way over to my black Nissan. I climbed in and pulled out of the lot, speeding the rest of the way home.

As I entered my building and stepped onto the elevator, I couldn't help but wonder how my life was about to change. I wouldn't have the luxury of free days or walking around my loft in what I was comfortable in. The Dres Van kingdom may be one of the most put together kingdoms of all, but it was also the most strict. I unlocked my door and walked into the living room, kicking my shoes off on the way to the couch. I leave tomorrow but I'm just too tired to pack. I plopped onto the sofa, and just when I'm about to relax and take a nap, I hear my phone ringing. I reluctantly got up to answer it.

"Hello?" I answer tiredly.

"Alice I need your help!" I hear Rose shouting from the end of the line.

"Are you trying to make it so I can't hear anymore? WHat do you need?"

"Sorry, sorry! I need your opinion. You've met Prince Emmett and you've talked to him before today… What's he like?" She asked.

"I don't know much. He seems to be the most relaxed one of the bunch. I don't think you'll have a problem, Rose. Honestly, you'll prob-" I'm interrupted by a knock on the door. "Hold on one second Rose," I say, setting the phone down and heading to the door.

I look through the peephole and am surprised to see a head of blonde hair and vibrant green eyes looking straight at me. Shit.

"You can open up the door, I'm not some criminal nor do I want to spend my time here any longer than necessary," He barked out.

I rolled my eyes and yanked the door open.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, refraining from glaring at him.

He huffed and ushered the two women standing by his side into my loft where they went about gathering things together.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I couldn't believe what I was seeing and I didn't realize that he had pulled me along with him until I heard the doors to my elevator close.

"Okay seriously what are you doing? Where are you taking me?"

"Good Lord, do you ever shut up? Why must you ask so many questions?" He glared at me.

"Oh I don't know, maybe if you actually gave me a heads up on any of the plans you spring on me I wouldn't have to ask so many damn questions!" I was fuming and he still kept the glare on his face.

"I will not be spoken to like that, especially not by a commoner. You need to realize who you're talking to." He grabbed my shoulder and led me out to the parking garage, gesturing for me to get into the car that was waiting for us.

"No, I do not think so, your Highness. I'm a respectful person but you have crossed the line. You are the one taking me from my home without any warning, disrespecting me in my home, and acting like this is somehow entitled to you and I'm strange for questioning it. This may be how things work where you live, but not here. You are not my kingdom's prince, nor do you have much authority here. You are not the only person in the world and you do not own me. I am a human too and I deserve to be treated as such. I don't want to design your clothing nor do I want to face you for the next few weeks, and if you want this whole ordeal to go by smoothly, you will change your attitude around me." I inhaled a deep breath, trying to stop myself from shaking and calm my nerves. I had a feeling I just made a big mistake.

Prince Jasper looked taken aback but quickly regained his composure, opening the door, and walking to the other side of the car, looking over the roof of the car at me and pausing for a moment.

"I didn't want you to design my clothing either. Now that you've thrown your tantrum, we're going," He stated, climbing in and closing the door, leaving me angry and even more confused.

I climbed into the limo and slid into my seat beside Prince Jasper. He was looking straight ahead and looked deep in thought. I couldn't help but look over at him, and when I did I regretted it immediately. He was laughing softly and turned to look out the window. He was laughing at me. Just great. That's exactly how I was hoping to start off this assignment. I was broken out of my thought when I heard Jan, Prince Jasper's butler, formally introduce himself.

"Oh, hello Jan. I'm Alice Brandon. It's lovely to meet you. Would you mind telling me what's going on?"

Jan smiled and nodded. "We are headed back to the Dres Van kingdom, it was determined you would come tonight because it's the farthest kingdom from here. I can see you weren't notified, my apologies. The two maids who will be your aids are packing up necessities for you that will be brought with us. Your friends are leaving at different times tomorrow, as I'm sure you're wondering, although I don't know specifically when. You will be in contact with all of them, surely, and won't be too far away from all of them, so if need be you can visit with them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. The drive is about seven hours long so feel free to sleep, or do as you please."

"Thank you, Jan," I nodded and looked out the window. This wasn't how I imagined my life just last week, far from it actually. I looked over at Prince Jasper and saw that he had earphones in and was reclining back in his seat, his eyes closed. I leaned back and buckled my seatbelt, closing my eyes and preparing to sleep for the long ride to the Dres Van kingdom.

I woke up, confused and disoriented. Sitting up, I saw Prince Jasper working on some paperwork with a small pair of glasses resting on his nose. He must have noticed because he looked up at me, looking slightly disheveled and younger than he did last night

"Finally up I see," he looked back down, a small smile on his face.

"Yeah… What time is it?" I rubbed my eyes and looked out the window, the beginnings of a sunrise appearing at the lowest peaks of the mountains.

"Almost six," he stated simply.

"Where are we?"

Prince Jasper looked up at me, then out the window and sighed.

"Home. Welcome to Dres Van."

I peeked over at the papers on his lap and cleared my throat, "What are you working on?"

"Nothing concerning you. You're going to have to work on not butting into people business. It's very obnoxious and unbecoming of a lady your age."

I groaned. Welcome to Dres Van, indeed.

Okay, I'm really sorry. It's been over a year and like what can I say, I'm a bad person. Better than some, but not many. It may seem pointless because I'm not sure how many of you still care but here's a new chapter. Its been almost complete for about as long as I haven't updated. I got a private message today asking if I was still continuing this story, and the best I can say is yes? If it's still wanted. But I'm one for finishing things, even if it takes forever, just depends on what you guys want and that's how I'll finish it. Not the actual ending because I've already had the set for a while, but like the length and how in depth I go. Anyway, I'm sorry. I needed a break and I got one. It was a well needed one but I still neglected this but either way, I'm here. Love you guys bunches and I hope you enjoy. IF it sounds a little jumpy, I'm sorry but I did pick up over a year later. 3
