Chapter 14: Oh No...

3rd Person POV

Astrid hit her fist against her head for the hundredth time that night.

"Stupid Astrid why did you snap at her like that? The girl obviously has insecurities dammit why did you go and make them worse." It had been two hours since Lyna had run out of the house and Astrid was starting to worry. "What if she doesn't come back? All because of me..." She thought, "Get a hold of yourself Astrid she'll be back don't worry about it...Lyna just needs some time to herself." Her conscience told her. Astrid sighed and pulled the thin blanket over her. "I just need some sleep then tomorrow I can apologise to Lyna for what happened." She decided as she made herself comfortable on the bed. Almost immediately she fell asleep but unfortunately sleep wouldn't bring her any comfort.

Hiccup rubbed his head again feeling the large bruise on his forehead and groaned, "Man this headaches killing me." He thought as he tried to get comfortable on the chair he was sitting on. "If I don't get some sleep this'll only get worse." He thought as he got himself in a comfortable position and closed his eyes. He thoughts drifted to the new girl Lyna and the way she'd stormed out the house. "I wonder what happened with her and Astrid." He wondered as he remembered the shouting he heard from upstairs and although he couldn't make out what they were saying it was obvious that they had fallen out over something. "Astrid..." His thoughts changed to that golden-haired Valkyrie that... dare he call her his girlfriend? "We kissed but does that mean we're together or does she just pity me or what?" He sighed. "Relationships are so confusing..." He thought as his mind started to power down and he slowly fell into a restless sleep.

Nico's eyes fluttered open and squinted as he adjusted to the change in light. He turned his head to the right to see out the window and saw he was in Diana's house. He looked to the left and saw Toric quietly sitting in the corner carving something into his bow. A flash of pain shot through Nico's arm as he tried to move it. This got the Marksman's attention and he set down the bow and walked over to Nico sheathing the knife as he walked.

"How you feeling?" He asked as he took a seat next to Nico.

"Like someone smashed my arm with a hammer." Nico laughed lightly then stopped remembering that had been what had happened. Toric didn't reply and soon the two fell into an awkward silence with neither knowing what to say.

"Anyway you should probably get some rest for tomorrow I have a feeling that it'll bring a lot of challenges." Toric told him as he stood up and walked towards the door. "Wait!" Nico called, Toric paused with his hand halfway to the door, he turned slightly and raised an eyebrow at Nico.

"Is Lyna okay?" He asked. Toric nodded and left the room without another word. Nico lay back on the bed and closed his eyes, letting sleep slowly take over his body and fill his head with horrible nightmares that showed scenes that Nico recognised but with something different happening in each one and they grew more and more violent and disturbing the longer they went.

Little did the three sleeping friends know but there was someone approaching the village in fact there was a small group of people and leading them was non other than Stoick the Vast himself. The man haunting the trio in their dreams...

Fishlegs glanced around the foreign village nervously whilst twiddling his thumbs together. He glanced up at Stoick's determined face and took a deep breath. It was going to be a long night.

Toric was the first to spot them, without hesitation he pied up his bow and sent an arrow flying into the dirt just in front of Stoick's feet. The large man looked up in shock at the shooter but the shock turned to anger as he recognised him.

"I suggest you leave now." Toric told him calmly already aiming anoher notched arrow at Stoick. Stoick held his gaze and took a step forward. "I came here to talk not to fight." He said calmly. Toric raised an eyebrow and lowered his bow, "If that is true then tell your men to leave except that one." He said pointing at Fishlegs, Stoick turned to the men accompanying them and nodded. They turned and started walking back through the forest disappearing into its dark depths. Stoick started to walked forward again but was stopped by someone else. "Weapons please." Hunter ordered as he held out his hands. Stoick had half a mind to beat the teen but decided against it and held out his weapons to him. Fishlegs raised his hands to show he had nothing as he followed Stoick to the center the villager where the rest of the villagers stood waiting.

"I don't trust this guy." Marcus muttered as Stoick approached them.

"None of us do but let's hear what he has to say." Diana told him.

The man took a deep breath, "I learned the truth about what happened and I'm sorry about what I did... I would also like to see my son, Nico... and Lyna." He announced.

The teens looked at each other before Toric replied, "Well Nico and Hiccup are sleeping and recovering," Stoick felt a pang of guilt about that, "But I'll go and get Lyna I think she'll still be awake." He said as he turned and walked into Lyna's house, Toric spotted Hiccup tossing and turning on the chair as he walked in, he shrugged and continued up the stairs. "Lyna." He called as he knocked on her bedroom door. When there was no answer he slowly pushed open the door. "Hmm..." Toric wondered as he saw the empty bed, "Maybe she's with Astrid." He waslked back to Astrid's room and walked in, Astrid was tossing and turning much like Hiccup on her bed. "What's going on here? Lyna never leaves after dark." Toric was starting to get worried now. He walked over to Astrid and gently shook her awake, she shot up with a cry, almost head butting Toric in the process, and looked around quickly as if she was expecting someone else in the room. Finally she calmed down and looked at Toric.

"Astrid have you seen Lyna?" He asked.

Astrid's eyes widened, "You mean she's not come back yet? Oh no..." Astrid threw back the blanket and stepped into her boots. "Wait Astrid what did you mean by that?" Toric asked.

Astrid sighed, "Last night we had a bit of a falling out and she ran out the house... she claimed to have been shouting at a voice in her head but I didn't believe her,"

"Oh no..." Now Toric's eyes widened. "Are you sure it was a voice in her head?" He asked as he grabbed Astrid by the shoulders.

"Well she stopped talking and looked like she was thinking and then she just yelled leave me alone I don't need you or something." Toric ran out the door, "Hey!" Astrid called as she ran afer him, ignoring the pain in her head.

She ran out the door and saw Toric standing at the door of the amoury.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she caught up with him, He answered in a low voice, "It's gone." He pointed at an empty weapons holder. "Oh man this is really really bad... it's happened again." Marcus had noticed the commotion and jogged over. "What's wrong guys?" He asked as he walked over but he stopped when he saw the empty holder. "Oh no is the rest gone too?" He asked Toric in a panicked manner. Toric nodded slowly as he turned to the others still in the square. "Come on we need to tell the others." Marcus said as he ran back over with Toric and Astrid in tow.

Stoick looked at Astrid in surprise as she appeared, she took one look at him and backed up. "Astr-" Stoick started but was cut off by Marcus.

"Okay guys we've got a big problem Valkyrie's on the loose again." He announced, there were several gasps and Hunter turned pale.

"Listen we need to stay together now from now on no one leaves there house at dark and we're all staying in the same house okay? In the morning we'll send a team of two to look for her..." He sighed and rubbed his head. "I just hope we can stop her again..."
